pixarmom Beautiful pictures soooo Happy we decided to stay at BWI again in November! :cloud9:

Hello Sheila and Gwynne!!! :wave2: Happy to share our photos!

Typically, we would never request a specific room, but for our BWI stay earlier this year, we requested the following: "Boardwalk view, please. If possible, we enjoyed room 4261." When we arrived, we received a Boardwalk view closer to the lounge with a far smaller balcony, and we loved it just as much. The small balcony was cozy, the view was amazing, it was tucked away on the left side of Boardwalk Bakery, and it was super close the lounge. Our teens babysat for our youngest one night while we had a "mini date" in the lounge with coffee and dessert. In any event, we're back to just asking for a Boardwalk view, because we've discovered more than one perfect room at the BWI Innkeeper's Club!

A few photos of our most recent room:

It *IS* my first Disney run! What about you?
I'm booked for pool/garden view, and it'll just be me - traveling solo!

It will be my second Disney run, but first half marathon! I'm running the 10K at Disneyland with our two teens and my husband later this month (our youngest will run the kids' run.) I'm traveling with our three boys (ages 6, 13 and 14) for the PHM. We'll all run the 5K together and our youngest will do the kids' run on Saturday. My husband will join us for the last evening and race day. We booked standard CL - will help me out a lot when I'm on my own with the boys. As for the PHM, I'm running solo, too!

pixarmom  I think I would be happy with any room with a BW View which is what I requested when I first contacted IPO. I did send another email to IPO yesterday asking to please add "close to the lounge".

Fingers crossed. :)

Beautiful pics!

Thanks Seabean!! I was actually looking for that old thread. Over bakery sounded great too. Not sure why they picked 3257 but I'm sure it's fine. Being near club room not as important to me as bigger balcony. Sounds like they have me above the sweet sign. I'll let u know when I get there! Thanks.

Thanks pixarmom!! I've seen your pics before too! That balcony looks awesome. We are deluxe club level. They said 3257 us in between flying fish and sweets shop so I'm ASSUMING its one of the 3 rooms above sweets. I saw another thread and it was room 3255 and the balcony view looked like last one on left (of the 3 above sweet shop) so I'm thinking 3257 is in middle.

Pixarmom your photos have gotten me so excited to be at BWI in Nov! We are only standard view but can't wait to just stroll around the BW at night and enjoy that view! Beautiful!:thumbsup2

Yes, I have the direct line to the club level room. I'm driving them crazy because they all say something different. And if they are not there, you get routed to a central club level answering center which is in Grand Floridian. I have not gotten a solid answer so I can't say it's a good number to call. We have 6 people in our family so garden suites are too small for us but look adorable. I know u can request rooms (say with balcony ) but not guaranteed. We stayed here before and really enjoyed being right on boardwalk with balcony. People watching fun. Really depends what you are looking for.

Would you mind sharing the "direct line" to BWI Concierge? TY

By reading the post, I am sure the poster is talking about the direct line to IPO. The phone number for the Innkeeper's Club at the BWI is not published for obvious reasons. Those poor cast members would be over run with phone calls from guests. the cast members working at the BW are all fantastic and will help make your trip as wonderful as they possibly can, once you are there. I know there are a few repeat guests that may have access to this number, but it is not for use before your trip.

We have stayed at the BWI for years and the cast have become like a part of my family. we are all so sad when we cannot get a room there with either my cast or military discount.

Honestly the actual "club " level desk at the BW was helpful but the actual club level planners were great (they are actually situated at Grand Floridian she said). I did call them several different times getting different answers so they finally gave me the direct line but really, the direct line couldn't pinpoint exactly where my room was anyway. I think you should call again the main planning number to try and get somebody else. They were extremely helpful to me when I got different members. Really explain your situation and why you need to know. I'm sure you have these numbers:

No problem blushblush - have a great vacation when you're there!

Does anyone know the numbers of the 4 deluxe rooms above Seashore Sweets? We were just there last week and didn't think to ask. Those rooms are better for folks who prefer a more centralized balcony view, whereas the ones over Boardwalk Bakery are more of a broader side view (our preference)

BTW - I made a thread on the similarities between the GF and BWI if anyone is interested:

5 on the 3rd Floor and 5 on the 4th Floor
3225, 3227, 3229, 4225, 4227, 4229 - all above the Bakery
3255, 3257, 4255, 4257 - all closer to Flying Fish

I've been having trouble with e-mailing BWI, so I'm going to call once I go thru my e-mails & write out what I need, so I thought maybe whoever she was calling could actually help me! Lol

can you tell me where to find a list of activities in the community hall?

Thanks!

If you are staying in the villas (looks like you are), you should have the schedule for the week in your check-in folder. As far as getting an idea of what it could be before you go, you might create a thread closer to your trip for someone to post or send it to you. It will vary some from week to week, but close to your vacation, you will get the general idea.

This the best thing to do. I have always found talking to the cast members at IPO have been very helpful and it is so much better talking to someone rather than emailing.

I sent you a PM.

I appreciate it so much, for the PM..I don't want to regret my switch to BWI because I'm so excited about it!!
