I saw mention on another thread that newspaper delivery was going to end at the Deluxe Resorts. Has this happened or has it been confirmed that the practice will end?

Seems silly but being able to sit out on the balcony with his coffee and USA Today has been something DH enjoys, and grumbled more about that our last trip than anything else.(we stayed OKW, so no paper)

TIA

Anyone stayed in the deluxe room who can comment on the comfort of the pullout couch?

Thanks! :goodvibes

Surprisingly, it is pretty comfy! Last September, our DD (3 at the time) was very big into sleeping in the king size bed with us during vacation -- a habit we were trying to break. Thankfully, the pull out was something "neat" to a 3 year old and she slept in it with no qualms. :goodvibes When reading bedtime stories at night, dh or I would crawl into the pullout and found it to be very nice as well. Dh actually fell asleep in there after reading to her one night.

Very happy day! We just booked airfare for our Oct standard club stay. Is there a recommended time frame for when we should contact the planning office with our information, or do they contact us at a certain point?

Can you watch Ill from anywhere at the Boardwalk? Can you see it from the Lounge?;)

If you are staying Club Level you can watch it from the balcony inside the Innkeeper's Club lounge.

Also right next to the elevators on the 4th floor on the Boardwalk Inn side is a little sitting room with a balcony where you can also watch Illuminations.

I'm going to miss you by 2 weeks!!! After following you around the DISboards like a roadie, I'm going to miss a DISboard icon :worship: And I STILL haven't made it to CR yet! ;)

Can any guest staying at BWI or BWV use that sitting room / balcony?

Or, it is jut for CL folks like yourself?

Thanks
Dan

While The Innkeeper's Club is on the 4th floor, it's behind a secured door. The rest of the rooms on the 4th floor are non-CL rooms. So if the sitting area is next to the elevator, then it's not behind the Innkeeper's Club door and anyone can use it.

We stayed at BWV from Jan 17-23 and had a wonderful time. We had a Grand Gathering so had 24 of us in in 6 rooms. Everyone was happy with the rooms! Our 2 bedroom and SIL's 2 bedroom were next to each other on the 4th floor overlooking the quiet pool and community hall. We could see Tower of Terror. We used the community hall so much this trip!Just used the stairwell down from our room to pop right out by there. We got DVDs everyday and the kids played Foosball, air hockey and an old arcade game all for free! They all colored and for $1 made buttons. We did the Mickey tie dye shirts one day and they turned out great, the best part was all the mess stayed at Disney! The kids all loved the pools! One BIL had a studio overlooking the green common area on the Boardwalk, not sure what to call that area, but it had a HUGE balcony!! It was like half the size of the room! The CMs were wonderful everywhere! We loved the enertainment on the Boardwalk at night! Great place to stay!

We've enjoyed the Illuminations fireworks from the club lounge balcony and from the bridge between BWI and BC (see photo, below.) CRFAN, great tip regarding the sitting room on the 4th floor - we love that room and the balcony - didn't know about the Illuminations view - thanks!

Thanks for posting your review and it's great you had a wonderful time staying there.

Just want to say how thrilled I am to see so much activity on the BWI/BWV thread!

Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!!!
My fiancé and I are starting out our honeymoon at the Boardwalk Villas, then we will be whisked away on the Dream, and then we will finish off our adventure at Wilderness Lodge. Your hard work on both is much appreciated...
