Hi all- I am staying at WL at the end of the month and only need water for the room. I don't want to order it from Garden Grocer, b/c it is all I need and I don't mind going for it myself. We are using Magical Express, so I won't have a car. I was thinking of heading down to DTD and walking to Goodings. Is this possible? Is there a different place or other suggestions as to where I can get a case of water and maybe some juice boxes? Thanks....;)

You can order from Staples.com or Costco.com. Have it waiting it for you when you arrive. Delivery charge is minimal.

We ordered water this past Dec. and had it delivered to the WL. We ordered from Staples and there was no delivery fee. Now there is a fee, but I would rather order it than have to go to DTD and walk to a store and haul it back. Too much waste of time for me.

I will look into staples and costco, but is it possible to walk to goodings in case I want to pick up some other things. I have never shopped there, but have heard that it is on the expensive side. Will I save any money buying juice and snacks for the kids there or should I just get things at one of the resort shops? Also, do they sell beer and wine at Goodings?

Although I personally haven't done it, I have heard that the Hess gas station, which is located across the street from the Beach Club, sells water by the case. They don't sell water by the case in the resort gift shops.
If you choose that option, you could take a bus from any park to the Beach Club and then cross the street.
The Goodings is higher priced, but if you are only getting water, it may not be too bad.

the Hess station is across from BWV not bc.

there is also one across from DD.

either is a long walk with a very heavy weight. If you are strong enough - then take the bus to Studio - walk toward BWV (you will see the path) - before you get to BWV turn right - kept in that direction you will cross over the street (after the resort parking lot) - the Hess is the next left.

that say how about one of those water filters that you can carry on the plane. a whole lot less hassle.

Uh...the TAP in your bathroom sink.

Seriously...i dont understand this countries facination with bottled water.

Tap water has been in use for over 100 years, and quality and stadards are stricter than ever.

We by 1 or 2 bottles from the local food place in the resort, then keep filling them up and putting them in the room freezer for use the next day.

We ordered water for our June trip from Costco and it worked out great. As for snack food, we bought various boxes of granola bars etc. before leaving home and then everyone chose what they wanted and packed them in their own ziplock bags which we packed in our luggage.:flower3:

The water in Florida has a sulfer base and sediment. If you are use to clean and pure water the water in Florida has a taste and smell.

We ordered delivery from wegoshop.com. The cost is the cost of your items plus a $17 delivery fee. We ordered bottled water, soda, juice, beer, wine, cheese, crackers, breakfast things and snacks. We definitely saved over the cost of the Disney shops, even with the delivery fee. We scheduled our delivery to our convenience and it was right on time. I was very pleased.
You could also consider a taxi to Goodings if you are thinking you want more than just water. I don't know what the fare would be, but that is an option.

Oh man! :sad2: The Florida water just does not taste good at all.

I packed a few bottles of water and planned on refilling with the tap water during our trip. But it tasted so awful that I ended up buying water anyway.

Oh how I wished I could just have been able to reuse the bottles with the tap water!
