for one night.....

We are coming in on a Saturday and since we need two rooms for the six of us I simply Will Not pay what Universal wants for a Saturday night......so does anyone know of a real close decent hotel that would either fit the six of us in one room (hey its only one night okay and we are going to Hard Rock the next day so they can all deal with it) or really inexpensive.

Thanks.

I started this search for you...you can take it from there. ;)

There are a bunch of hotels that are very close. I'd try hotwire.

Thanks......I already see an Embassy Suite on Jamaican drive something that looks good AND a Holiday Inn that looks to be right across the street. Both these hotel are about $145 before taxes, free parking and will fit all six of us in a two room suite......

Watch out for that Holiday Inn heard a lot of horror stories about that place but I have stayed at the Doubletree on major Blvd and its a nice hotel and if you have AAA you can get a standard 2 queen room for $80.00 a night and its only a ten min walk to universal

Thanks - I do have AAA. Do you think Doubletree holds 6....I am going to look. I booked Embassy Suites...I have no idea where it is in relationship to Universal but we could also do Seaworld that day anyway....

UPDATE: THeir rooms do not hold 6 and AAA is $172 per night for 5 - that is so strange I though most Doubletrees have open up couches..

I thought I heard bad things about the Holiday Inn also but I know EXACTLY where they are and they are very close to Universal......but I am not taking a chance, we have a car so a short drive wont kill us the first day.

Sorry about that don't know what I was thinking cause there is only four of us and the reason I told you about the $80.00 a night cause thats the rate I am paying through AAA for our trip in July

There's an Extended Stay Deluxe on Universal Blvd that could sleep six in one room if you doubled up. You could get a room with two queens and they all have a pull out sofabed. Rates shouldn't be that high either, but not sure. I have always had pleasant experiences with Extended Stay while in Orlando....I have stayed at a few.

I booked the Sheraton Studio City on Hotwire for $52/night. Its half a mile from US/IOA. I limited my search to Universal area and a 3*.

Try Hotwire. I just got the Hyatt Place Universal for $39 a night over Christmas! The regular rate is $150 so we are very happy. It is a three star in the Universal zone and listed as a customer favorite. I think you will need two rooms though.

that is my problem with hotwire... how do u even know you will get hyatt?

Thats why I never use hotwire cause you don't know which hotel you get until after you pay for it and then they give you the info.
