Hey friends! Does anybody enjoy those ghost hunting shows like Most Haunted, and Fear? My DH LOVES those. He totally wants to go to one of those haunted places and go on a ghost hunt. We are going this summer to a haunted prison that was featured on MTV's FEAR. They let people sit in the old electric chair and everything. Spoooooky!! DH totally hopes to see a ghost. I believe ghosts exist, but I think what you see on those shows is a crock. JMO.
Well, we do pull our hair back (I do because its longer) plus I just cashier for the most part so no biggie. Not sure the visor really does anything but no complaints so far!
You'll have to tell me about subbing sometime Bonnie. I'm up in the air about that still.
Well, subbing is different in each school district. I know that here in Northern VA, you get hired to sub at a certain school and you fill in wherever they need you. But in Las Vegas (where I subbed for 3 years), the entire city is one huge school district and you are not assigned to a certain school. You can get called to sub anywhere, unless you narrow down the places you are willing to sub at. Then you are only called for the jobs in whichever areas you selected. You can also narrow it down by grade or even by school. I narrowed mine down to only sub in grades K - 3, in only the NW side of town.
Requirements to sub in Las Vegas were that you had to have 62 credits of college, and like 6 of those credits had to be in an education related field. But things like Sociology and Psychology classes were applicable somehow. They do interview candidates, but it is not hard to get hired on as a sub. We just had to go to a training day and apply for a substitute teacher's license and pay the fee and get fingerprinted. Once you are cleared you get set up in the sub system, which is done by phone and online. If you dont' want to wait for them to call you, you can check the system the night before and see which jobs are available and choose the one you want.
It's MUCH easier when you get to know certain teachers and they keep calling you back to sub for them. I had cute little business cards printed up, and whenever I subbed for a new teacher, if I liked her class, I'd leave her a card and ask her to call me again.
If you have any questions, let me know. Hope this helps.
Wasn't much of a croc fan until I got the fuzzy ones. They are so comfortable!!
We just got a Five Guys. Very tasty!
Although I always eat way too many fries.
I LOVE thier fries!

Soooo, how was the birthday, Joanne?
Sometimes when I am down at my sister's, she has two near her. The one here is just a little to out of the way, hopefully we will get one closer soon.
Remind me where in MD you live again, Merle? You're not that far from Janette and me, right? (I'm in Woodbridge).
I saw a few ppl mention they are lo carbing as well. So I figured I would share a great site for receipes. We make meals for the whole family using the site. The kids love the food too.

I was actually really surprised that she was married. I liked her a lot! I was surprised when I read the thread Phors linked us to. I had no idea she was feeding us all a line of hooey.

So of the three, which are your faves, Deb? I just have the capri flip flops. They are quite nice. If I run across the fuzzy ones though, I just may try them on.
