Hi there! My husband told me that for my birthday he is taking me to Citricos I'm way excited but haven't read much about it here on the boards anyone have any thoughts? pictures? favorite items?

Thanks!!

About a month or two ago, Kevin from the DIS Unplugged podcast reviewed Citrico's. He had such a great experience that he booked it for a holiday meal.

I knew a few others who had good experiences in October, so I wouldn't hesistate to return, since my last visit was a few years ago.

There should be links to the menu on the wdwinfo.com home page.

We've eaten at Citricos 4 times and have really enjoyed it. It's a more adult atmosphere with a sophisticated menu. They also offer wine pairings which is nice if you like wine.

I've never had anything here that I did not enjoy. I hope your experience is just as nice.

Thank you so much for the input! I'm eager to try Citrico's and the grown up atmosphere is part of the draw and just a nice night out.

Add me to the group. Citrico's is a fine restaurant and about as "adult friendly" as a WDW restaurant can get.
I always get the veal shank--delicious!!

Each time we have gone over the past 5 years the food and service has been wonderful. It is a fine dining exeperience with fewer children. The dining room is very large and the open kitchen is fun to watch.

The gateau of crab is like a crab souffle-it melts in your mouth. We also enjoy the goat cheese truffle salad-three goat cheese balls rolled in different coatings served with bacon, frisee and peaches. For entrees the filet, bone in ribeye, veal shank were all great. There used to be a lovely snapper dish on the menu, but it is not there as of now. The tirimisu and warm chocolate banana tart are a great way to end the evening.

The servers we have had there include-Chafik, Nadim and Bruce.

I hope you enjoy your experience and have a great trip. :goodvibes

We're fans too. Our last meal there was in October and was wonderful. I'm hooked on the veal shank now too thanks to Uncleromulus' reviews.

On our trip in November this was the best meal we had. (Even better than California Grill!) It was top notch all the way. I had booked it many months before I heard Kevin's review on the DIS Unplugged and was even more excited to get there after hearing the review. The service was wonderful and the food was out of this world! We did take our DS9 and DD13 with us and they enjoyed the food as well, also agreeing that it was their favorite meal on the entire trip. Considering this was a restaurant we overlooked for many years, I'm sure this will be on our "must return" list when we go on our next trip to "The World." ::MinnieMo

I have seen Citricos cited as a great restaurant for Disney Fairytale Wedding dining, like rehearsal dinners, if that means anything!

Well, I don't know about the adult atmosphere. We had quite an interesting "floor show" there once:

Fortunately that's not the norm, and Citrico's is one of our favorite WDW restaurants, along with Jiko and Artist Point. But remember, it's WDW so a grown-up atmosphere is never guaranteed.

That was some story!! I can't even imagine just abandoning your kids or that a restaurant would allow parents to sit far away from young children! Interesting but I am still very excited to try Citrico's in the hopes that the Von Trapp Family From Hell will not be present Haha! Jiko is also one of my favorite places I've been there several times but we're trying to change it up :)

If you're a Jiko fan, I think you'll really enjoy Citrico's. It's really an undiscovered gem at WDW. Sending you good vibes to warn off the Von Trapps from Hell!

I'm totally convinced you have Bad Psycho Diner Karma after reading a few of your stories.

But that makes me want to have a meal with you to see what would happen! :stir:

Be sure and try the Arancini appetizer. It's out of this world!!!

We've been on kind of a downswing lately. All really boring, normal meals at WDW lately. Oh well, it's a new year...maybe the Bad Psycho Diner karma will return. After some of the craziness we've witnessed, an uneventful meal is rather boring. The closest we've come lately is the Wall-E sized dude dining alone at the Butcher Block who was on his cell throughout the meal, holding loud conversations that seemed designed to alert everyone in the restaurant that he did have a significant other who just didn't happen to be there. Dude, I could care less! But that is dull in comparison to Race Horse Piss Lady...he was waaaay below her league.

Back from my fabulous birthday dinner at Citrico's and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. I think I'm going to do a dining review but it blew me away we ate so much, we had a great table, our servers were spectacular, I got a special birthday menu and they dressed up my dessert it was perfect!! Thank you for all of your advice!!

I had Christmas dinner there and I will definetly go back to eat there again, it was classy in every way :thumbsup2

Would you use two dining credits for each? or use two for one and pay OOP for the other person? Looking at the menu I could find online, it seemed like paying for one might be a better value when on the dining plan. Would love input from others ... thanks!

Guests under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian's permission to call to make an ADR, but in the restaurant a child is considered a nine year old or younger. I have discovered that Disney is very evasive in responding to any inquiries regarding what exact age a person can dine at a TS alone.
