Help me! I really cant decide on a signature restaurant.

im leaning towards citrico's because the menu appeals to us and the atmosphere looks so elegant. Just gorgeous.

I know a lot of people rave about Jiko, but we're not that adventurous with our spices. Also, we're not seafood fans if that matters. So im a little worried about my preteen (son) not liking it here.

Out of the two, which one would you choose?

We will be at MK on the day of the signature restaurant, so i guess it would make more sense to go to Citrico's. Thoughts?

Both are very good. I think Citricos would just be easier to manage on a long MK day. Also, the Filet entrée at Jiko is a very middle-of-the-road option, should you find yourself there and concerned about spices not being to your taste.

We love Citricos.

If you get there a little early for your adr and time it right, you may be able to relax in the lobby and enjoy the music.

Also it would be easier to get to, just take the resort monorail or boat.

We are going again this May. Cant wait!

If it were me, I would pick Jiko. But it sounds like based on your food preferences and your location at the MK that Citricos would work best for your family. Enjoy!

Jiko's entrees are not spicy or even unusual. Don't let that be the reason you avoid this place.

I think Citricos is more elegant, has better food and is more adult/romantic. I like Jiko also, I just think Citricos is better. My children prefer Jiko.

Location is never a factor for us because we always shower/change into nicer clothes before dining at the signatures. I would pick the one with the most appealing menu before considering convenience.

Given the info in your OP I would say that Citricos would fit you to a T. We really love eating there. And should you desire a beverage and a place to relax before (and/or after) your meal, may I recommend Mizner's lounge up on the mezzanine? Just lovely. Now I'm sad because I won't be able to go back there for a while:guilty::sad1:

Given the OP's preferences it seems like Citrico's is the best fit for them. It certainly is an elegant place and the quality of the food and service are both very good.

Citricos is wonderful, elegant, and the food is amazing. Jiko was the worst meal we had on our deluxe dining trip in May.

Citricos does NOT disappoint! It is a great atmosphere and a WONDERFUL chef! A great Jersey boy! Enjoy!

I agree with this post. We prefer Jiko, but also love Citricos, so you can't really go wrong with either.

Citricos feels a little more formal though. I'd be comfortable wearing capris and sandals in Jikos or even nicer shorts. For Citricos I always wear a sundress and my husband always wear nicer pants, as do most people I've seen in there.

Hardest poll ever. Love Citricos, Jiko . . . and CG. Enjoy Narcoosies too!! Happy eating.:goodvibes

Wow, majority rules. Looks like Citrico's is the winner! Thanks everyone for your input. I sincerely appreciate it. Makes it so much easier for me considering in indecisive by nature! :goodvibes
