Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

I'm curious about what the 90+10 means. I know that we are allowed to call 90 days prior to arrival for priority seating but am not sure what a previous poster was referring to with the 90+10. Thanks for any help.

Amy

We have the dining plan - when I go to make the call for CRT (or any other seating that typically requires a deposit) do I have to leave a deposit since I'm on the plan? Thanks -

Amy

I was up to get Cindy's for 11/22 and breakfast and lunch were both book. Will be back up Wednesday, the 90 day mark to try again.

I GOT IT!!!!!!
After about 10-15 times calling I landed CRT for my birthday lunch!!!!!! 12:05 on September 5th! I am so excited I'm practically speechless!
I am sitting here alone with my computer and I just had to tell someone who would understand how much this means to me!
You guys are awesome! If it wasn't for DIS I would have given up after the first try. Thanks for making my Disney Dream come true!

Amy,

If you are staying on site, you can call 90 days from your check-in date and make ADR for your entire stay (up to 10 days). That is where the 90+10 thing comes from. For instance, I check in on Nov 19... Sunday, Aug 21, was my 90 day mark. I was able to get ADR for Nov 20 (91 days out), Nov 21 (92 days out), Nov 22 (93 days out), and Nov 25 (96 days out). I couldn't get what I wanted for Nov 23 or 24 because all of the available tables were taken. Only SOME of the tables are available to book 90+10. I was told to call back on the 90 day mark (Aug 25 for Nov 23 and Aug 26 for Nov 24) because more tables would be released into the system. They don't put all tables into the system at one time... it gives more people a chance to get an ADR I guess. My only "problem" spots are Cindy's lunch and Thanksgiving lunch at LTT. Both are popular, so I wasn't too surprised nothing was available yet.

Still looking for cancellations for 9/6-9/10 I keep calling but no luck yet. Those who did snag cancellations how far before your trip did you get them? What time did you call? Please e-mail me casprelli@yahoo.com if you are cancelling bfast or lunch for my dates. Thanks!

 My DH, 3 1/2 yr old DD and myself are having lunch at CRT. Anyone else lucky enough to have reservations this day? If so I hope you enjoy yourselves as much as we will. This is our 2nd time eating in the Castle and I am thrilled beyond words. This is the only place where I can explain my excitement and have people feel the same way as I do.You all deserve a great big hug. :grouphug:

I have been looking through pages and pages of posts to find the "tips for calling" but I haven't found them yet. Can someone tell me which page and poster to look for? Thanks!! :flower:

MVA418, I had the same problem. I went back a couple pages and found this tip. Start calling at 6:58am eastern time. If they say "Our offices are closed", hang up right after they say "offices" and hit redial. When they open, you will get a different greeting. They ramble on for a couple minutes. As soon as they say the word "understand", push 11. You will be bypassing the options that require you to put in your phone number and such. Then an operator will pick up, and you say right away "I want Cindy's for however many people, anytime."

I did this Fri. morn. and got right through! We have PS for 8:45 on April 7. I thought I would have to call every day til I got through, but I followed these tips and got through on the first try. Good luck! It doesn't ask you for your
phone number when you do it this way. You give all that info to the CM after the reservation is made.

Will this help?

After reading a bunch of threads and getting some helpful (but occasionally conflicting) advice, I decided to write a quick "help sheet" for others who are doing the same.

Here is the process I recommend:

1) Determine the date that you can make your Cindy's reservation. Go to the DIS Priority Seating calculator and verify the earliest calling date for the dates that you can attend (90 days prior). Realize that there is a VERY good chance that you will be unsuccessful if you only try once. So plan on getting a PS for early in your trip and if you get it, GREAT. If you don't, you can still try the next morning.

2) Have your credit card ready. Disney now requires a credit card guarantee of $10 per adult and $5 per child. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

3) You should only make reservations using the (407) 939-3463 number. The (800) numbers used for Annual Passholders and other services sometimes have delays (as much as 12 seconds) that will seriously hinder your ability to get a Cindy's PS.

4) Syncronize your clock. Go to the official U.S. time clock for great results. I have DSL at home, so I leave the official U.S. clock up on my screen while calling.

5) Get up and 'at 'em! Begin calling at about 6:58am Eastern time. Plan on calling 10-15 times during this two minute period. The range seems to be picking up between 6:58:30am and 6:59:30am. Some people have successfully tried and used multiple phones to get through.

Please note that there are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling Walt Disney World. Our office is closed... (hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial immediately).
or
b) Thank you for calling Disney dining. At this time, we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have already arrived for your Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any Walt Disney World restaurant to make your dining Priority Seating arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Once you hear option b, you're in and on hold! Do NOT hang up or you may lose any chance of a ressie! Please note that you cannot select any options while this message is being read. You must wait until the word "understanding" is completed.

After this passage is read (i.e. immediately after the word "understanding" is read), immediately hit the number "1" key twice on your phone.

Here are the options that you are skipping:
If you are calling to make a Priority Seating for Victoria and Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, please press 2. If not, press 1.

If you are calling from the Orlando area, or to make a reservation for within the next seven days, please press 1. If you are calling to make a reservation for your upcoming trip, press 2.

I don't recommend that you select #2 in the second option because if you select it, you will then be asked to give additional information (i.e. how long it has been since you last visited WDW, how many times you have been to WDW in the past four years, your telephone and/or reservation #). You don't have time for these options, so select #1 as directed above to skip them. After hitting the number "1" key twice on your phone pad as described above, the following line will be read:

Thank you for your time and patience. All of our representatives are currently assisting other guests. We look forward to speaking with you momentarily.

Again, do NOT hang up. Wait for the next available CM. You are almost there! Cross your fingers AND toes!

6) Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CM and blurt out "I need Cindy's, for **insert date**, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.

7) Be sure to write down your time and PS #. If your PS is before the park opening, you'll have to present your PS# to get into the park.

Please note that if you can't get a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table, another excellent character breakfast is the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot!

Have any editorial suggestion? Please share!

Good luck to you all!

That was great! Thanks for sharing! My only minor addition is that I would do a test run if I were you the day before so you can see what the messages are like firsthand.

I will be doing a test run Saturday for when I have to call Sunday.

Just a question - I didn't think CRT had characters at lunch? I read that SOMETIMES Cinderella and the Fairy godmother show up but not to count on it. I'm planning my first trip with all three kids (3rd total) and could be wrong. Just wouldn't want to see anyone dissapointed. If they've changed, that would be wonderful.

Jennifer, 5 months and counting :cheer2:

I just booked for 11/22 for lunch today! I was suprised and asked the CM I booked with if the lunch is exactly like the breakfast. She told me the lunch is exactly the same as the breakfast as of July 2005 except that the food offered is different.

I am glad they finnally did this! It gives us more options. We are not breakfast people really anyway.

Just made my day!!!!

Since there are always people (like me!) looking for CRT cancellations or posting their cancellations, can we have monthly threads where people can post what they've cancelled or what they're looking for. The first post on this thread could have links for each month's thread (4 at a time) just like the Illuminations sticky.

How about it? What does everyone think?

Here's the thread I started for September (although I'm the only post on it right now):

:cheer2: Got Cindy's this morning thanks to the tips of this board. Thanks!! :cheer2: We will be eating breakfast at the castle on 11/23!! :cool1:
