Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Have I missed some change in the policy of calling 90 days out for Cindy's breakfast? I'm reading posts that people are getting/not getting PS for end of October and November, but that is over 90 days away. I have the date marked on my callendar so I wouldn't miss it, but now am afraid I've missed the boat. I live on the west coast, so am even prepared to wake up at 4am to get on the phone in order to get a spot in the castle for breakfast. What is the story? Can you help me out? I'll be so dissapointed if I've missed out.

Sorry for my misguided earlier post! I had no idea this post was SO LONG and started years ago! I must have been looking at a different year and panicked- tee hee. Glad to know I still have a chance.

Anyone else having a difficult time trying to figure out where and when everyone will eat 3 months in advance, especially with 2 little kids whose sleeping and eating routines will be all out of whack after travelling? So many plans to make, so little time. (But what nice problems to have!)

I don't know if it was just luck or not, but I never followed the coveted "calling rules" and I got ressies for CRT, Chef Mickey and Crystal Palace all on the same day about a week ago and even had to call back the next day to make changes and still got all three. I called at 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. CST and got through without having to wait more than a minute. Like I said, maybe it was just luck or timing. We're going Sept. 3 - Sept. 11, 2005. Sometimes I wonder if the reason why it's so jammed on the phone is because everyone is following the "calling rules"? I wish you all the best of luck as I know that it can be extremely frustrating to wait and wait and then, nothing. I wish there was something I could do to help, but maybe just try calling at an "off" time and see what happens. It couldn't hurt and it may even be helpful...

Well I called this morning at 6:57am, I was on hold for 30 minutes. I hung up and tried group dining but it was busy. I waited and called at 8:45am and CRT was full. I was trying to book for 10/10/05!

I have to agree. I finished making my dining reservations this afternoon at 3pm. I wasn't planning to dine at CRT because I've heard how hard it is to get in. At the end of the phone call I asked the CM to check CRT for me on a long shot, and sure enough, there was an opening on the day I was looking for. Go figure.

I too tried this a.m. for CRT breakfast reservation for Oct. 13 (90 days from today). I first called at 7:01 a.m and was on hold until 7:46 a.m, only to find out it was completely sold out for breakfast and lunch for the entire week (beginning Sun. Oct. 9 up to Thurs Oct. 13). I booked Princess Storybook breakfast at Epcot instead. Anyone have feedback on that one? We'll see if I am insane enough to get up at 6:30 am. tomorrow (Sat.) and try to call for a CRT breakfast reservation for Friday Oct. 14. I'm sure others can relate to my insanity!!! :earseek:

Thanks! I see your from NJ......me too, Monmouth County! Have a safe trip and great time at OKW. We are new DVC members and will be staying at SSR for the first time in Oct.

You have to start calling at least by 6:57 am - then you are hitting the 1 + 1 correct? If you are one of the first callers in, you will go staight to a live person, if not, you will wait in the que. If you call at 7:01 - there are MANY other people already on hold and the chances of you getting a reservation is slim. The trick is to call before the lines open, keep hitting redial until you know disney dining is open, then hit the 1 and 1 bypassing the questions. If you do that, you have a shot. I did it last year, and I got CRT, and I did it again last week and got CRT for Oct 3rd. Good Luck!!

We're fairly new DVC members too, we bought 200 points on re-sale with BCV as our home resort. We've only stayed twice before as members and only in a studio so this is our first time staying in a big unit and we've never even been to OKW before. We're really looking forward to it. My sister lives in Monmouth County (Manasquan). small world

Was CRT really worth all the effort in the end? I guess just the whole atmosphere of being in the castle is probably worth it. I may try again tomorrow..... if not, I'll make the best of the Princess Storytime at Epcot. Beautiful family by the way! My Lindsey was Minnie for halloween last year too!

After reading all the NJ stuff in the posts I had to post again. Even though I'm living in Alabama now (been here since 1984 after I graduated HS), I grew up in Toms River (good ole' Jersey shore), so HELLO to all my fellow Jersey-ites! Boy, do I ever miss REAL bagels and pizza!!! Wishing you all a great time at Disney!!!

I bet you miss Pork Roll (taylor ham) and footlong hot dogs too, because the way I understand it, NJ is the only place to get them! My sister has lived in RI and NC since leaving NJ and neither of those states have ever heard of Pork Roll. There is actually a mail order service that someone out of Long Branch, NJ has started to send Pork Roll and footlong hot dogs. I'm a born and raised Jersey girl, but don't know how much longer I'll be able to stay.......everything is sky high here! Not just the auto insurance anymore!

Not sure, but it's possible you got it because of a cancellation. Plus, Sep isn't as busy of a season. I know they recently extended breakfast hours too, so maybe that helped. Regardless, I think if you call at 3:30 on a daily basis and ask for CRT, you won't be so fortunate.

My suggestion.............Buy a lottery ticket! Based on my experience this morning, YOU ARE LUCKY!!!!!!! Congrats and enjoy!

That's exactly why we recently moved from East Rutherford, Bergen County to White Township, Warren County - just couldn't afford to buy a house in the Bergen/Passaic/Morris county areas. I read about the mail order pork roll too. I don't think that's something I'd miss if I moved from the area, but good bagels and good pizza - I'd miss those!!!

(ok, enough chit-chat - back to Cindy's breakfast) We're going Monday morning at 8:20. Our little princess stepgranddaughter, who's big for her age, is all ready with the Cindy costume - she's so excited. Her two stepbrothers (8 and 10) are considerably less enthused than she is, but I'm sure they'll love it anyway.

My little princess is 5, but small for her age and wants to go in the worst way! Had I got the ressie, it was just going to be me her and my mom. My son (10), husband and father were going to sit that one out and let us have a "girl's day"! As you said though, I'm sure your grandson's will enjoy it as well, just seeing her excitement! Have an awsome time! It's wonderful that you are able to share these special times with your grandkids... Enjoy them! I know my parents certainly do enjoy my kids!

In my opinion, it is worth the effort. The combination of sitting in the castle, looking out onto fantasyland with the princesses coming to your table is a very magical experience. Both my dd's were dressed as Cinderella and it was very special. If you don't get it, the Epcot breakfast is good too - don't worry too much about it. That picture was taken at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party last december - I love to dress the girls up - it looks so nice in the pics!

That's what I thought! Well, I was insane enough to get up at 6:30 am on a Saturday, but I got my CRT breakfast ressies! I had my home phone and cell phone both going and the cell got through first at around 6:59 am. We are going Oct. 14! I canceled my Epcot princess ressies once I got these (although I'm sure that one would have been nice too!) Thanks for the input and encouragement! Now I've just got to see if her cinderella costume still fits. She wore it when she was 3 and is now 5 so I may be turning to Ebay!
