Yeah, I got what I wanted!

I called yesterday (April 24) at 180 days +1 to get CRT for October 22 but they were sold out. The CM told me to call back at the exact 180 day (today, April 25) because more seats would be released.

Sure enough I called right at 7am this morning and got the time I wanted (8:05am) on October 22! Yeah! I got a bit worried because the CM took forever to offer a time ..... her computer was running slowly this morning.

Congratulations! The same thing happened to me. I called at 180 days to my arrival day and wasn't able to get it for the second day of my stay. I could only get a 9:50AM on another day. I called back the next day at the actual 180 day mark to the day I wanted and got the 8:05AM time slot no problem! Have a wonderful time eating in the castle. There is nothing like it!

Thanks! Yes, eating at the castle is so magical! It's so exciting calling for the ADR - - - when you get one (especially the time you want) it feels like you've won the lottery! :woohoo:

I even had a celebrity sighting at CRT once. In 2001 we saw Joe Piscopo of Saturday Night Live fame. HA! :rotfl:

Okay, I'm not really sure how this works, nor do I have any idea what these shortforms mean like PS and such.

Anyway, I'm going to Disney World August 28th to Sept. 2nd ...Is there any way I can get a reservation for breakfast or lunch?

PS stands for Priority Seating, but the actual term that is now used for "reservations" at Disney restaurants is ADR - Advanced Dining Reservation.

You would need to call Disney Dining to see if you can get ADRs during your stay. These are very popular meals, and fill up quickly. You also need to pay for it in advance. Breakfast and lunch have Princesses, but dinner does not.

The number that I call is 407-WDW-DINE - not sure if you need something else from Canada.

I wanted reservations for CRT at the end of a 7 day trip in September. So I called 180+3 days out. There were no openings for breakfast at that time. The CM told me they only release a limited number of tables 180+10 days out. Then they release the rest of the room exactly 180 days ahead. If you want to get a reservation more than 180 days out, your best chance would be 180+7 or 180+10 days ahead, assuming your stay is that long.

So I waited till 7:00am on the 180th day and had my choice of any time I wanted. I called on my cell phone as I was driving in to work. I was on hold for about 1 minute (just long enough to get out of my car and walk into my office building). However, this was just before the free dining offer was made available. It might be harder to get a table at CRT for August or September now.

Good luck to everyone else trying to get a seating at CRT!!! This will be my daughters' (DD8 & DD12) first time dining in the castle.

I called yesterday and was able to get a table for CRT lunch on Sept. 13 with no problem. I was kind of worried, but I guess maybe lunch isn't as popular as breakfast.

I just called today for our Aug 28-Sept3rd trip and I was offered CRT breakfast on 8-29 for 8:00. I actually wanted to do lunch and the CM saked if I wanted 12:00 (must have been available) , I said maybe a little on the later side and she had 2:00, so I JUMPED on it. I couldn't belive there were that many options for my 1st choice day for both meals during free dining.
I WAS SO EXCITED!!!!!!! :cheer2:

I have CRT lunch reservations for Sept. 7th at 2:45. I had originally planned to do a dinner, but after reading the reviews here I thought we would enjoy lunch better. :wizard:

Does anyone know if they still give the kids out the wands or do we just get the picture package????

Decided 2 weeks ago (after getting back Easter weekend from WDW) to surprise DD for her 8th birthday by going back June 9-June 17. After two weeks of calling off and on, today I was able to secure reservations for a breakfast on the 16th at the castle. Never know when someone cancels - keep trying. Over Easter break, I called on Monday and asked if they had anything the rest of the week - ended up with a Friday lunch. Just need to be available, persistent and lucky.

I'm confused. I called this morning to get ADR for CRT on Nov 7. This is exactly 190 days out. I was able to get two tables for 4 (we have 8 in our party.) From this info, should I try at 180-days out to get a table for 8? Will more be released then??? This is the first I've heard of this.

If we are stuck with two tables, will they try to seat us close together?

I am new to this site and am SO thankful that I found it! We have reservations for Cinderella's Royal Breakfast in June. We wanted to do this for dd6's first visit to Disney. However, after making the reservations I saw a list of the menu items, and I am afraid that my picky husband won't even eat anything here! I know he will eat bacon and possibly sausage, but doesn't like eggs and I'm sure won't eat the potato casserole (whatever that is). I also saw that there are assorted breads and danishes. What types of breads and danishes? And I can't remember if there is anything like waffles or french toast? My husband is very thrifty and this breakfast is a major splurge for us, so I want him to feel that there is food there that he likes. Can anyone help me out on what specifically the other types of foods are?

Also, I found out about the new photo package with the meal. Is this something that is included with all meals now or is it optional??

Thanks for your help!

We have a party of 7 and the CM told me I would have to take two tables. I don't know if that means they only have tables of four or if larger tables are in very short supply. However, I was told the two tables would be together so it was fine with me.

I believe the picture packages are for groups of four, so you will get two picture packages if you have 5 to 8 people.

can anyone tell me what the menu is for lunch????

When we had breakfast there, we were a party of 9. While we did have 2 tables, the tables were right next to each other, with some of us seated at banquettes along the wall & then chairs on the other sides of the tables. So it was essentially like a big table, we were all so close together. I don't remember seeing big tables - but that doesn't mean there weren't any - I just didn't notice.

I remember croissants and danishes (though not what kind) in the bread selections. I think there might have been some kind of sweetened bread - like a pumpkin loaf - though it's been 2 years, so I may not remember correctly... There was more, but I don't recall what. The breakfast potato casserole was excellent - we all enjoyed it. It is like an augratin potato with mild cheddar cheese & onions. They have - what they call - a french toast on the menu & I'd go back to CRT just for this. It's one of those things you either love it or hate it - very rich & fattening. Definitely a splurge! It's like a hot cheese danish with blueberries on top. There is also fresh fruit - I remember especially nice strawberries, and grapes... You can request a 'healthy' alternative with granola & yogurt too.

I believe the pictures are included with all meals now, not optional, though I'm not 100% on that since it wasn't offered when we were there last.

Hope this helps!

Hi. I'm putting together a last minute surprise b.day trip for DD who is turning 7. I knew my chances of getting ressies for lunch or dinner were a long shot, and of course, there's nothing available. Should I just keep calling everyday to see if something opens up? We've been to Cindy's breakfast, but wanted to try something a little different, but just as special. I'd appreciate feedback on the dinner, as well as any thoughts about how to land ressies - I'd take them for any of the 3 nights we'll be there, anytime.

I don't really have any "tips" for you on getting your reservation...other than don't give up, keep calling...and even check once you get to the world. BUT I did want to put in a word about dinner. We were unable to get breakfsast reservations at CTR..but were able to get a dinner reservation before our trip...and I have to say it was one of the BEST meals we had around the world. Although there were NO characters at the dinner...having a meal in the Castle was wonderful...we were able to get one table next to the windows...and another one right next to it...seeing the sunset thgough the stain glass was beautiful....anyways we had a great time at dinner..and would highly recomend doing dinner in the castle. :thumbsup2

Hi! I 'm the one who posted just a few posts ago that my DH is very picky and probably won't eat much at the CRT for breakfast. I looked on the thread with all the pictures of the foods (awesome thread, btw!), and it looks like there may be cinnamon rolls in the bread basket which he will eat along with the bacon and possibly sausage. I am wondering how the breakfast works. I thought it was an all you can eat sort of thing, but it looks like the food is served preplated. Do they keep bringing you new plates? And are there different breakfasts to choose from? I saw there is a different kids plate and a yogurt and granola plate. Can my DH choose a kids plate? At least he might eat the french toast sticks on this (if he had to!). Sorry so many questions! This is our first experience here!

We are eating at Donalds Breakfastosaurus earlier in the week and this breakfast looks like it has a lot of things my DH will eat, so I guess he can suffer through one meal at CRT--albeit an expensive one!!
