Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Hi! I 'm the one who posted just a few posts ago that my DH is very picky and probably won't eat much at the CRT for breakfast. I looked on the thread with all the pictures of the foods (awesome thread, btw!), and it looks like there may be cinnamon rolls in the bread basket which he will eat along with the bacon and possibly sausage. I am wondering how the breakfast works. I thought it was an all you can eat sort of thing, but it looks like the food is served preplated. Do they keep bringing you new plates? And are there different breakfasts to choose from? I saw there is a different kids plate and a yogurt and granola plate. Can my DH choose a kids plate? At least he might eat the french toast sticks on this (if he had to!). Sorry so many questions! This is our first experience here!

We are eating at Donalds Breakfastosaurus earlier in the week and this breakfast looks like it has a lot of things my DH will eat, so I guess he can suffer through one meal at CRT--albeit an expensive one!!

It is all you can eat. You just have to ask for more of what you want more of. The yogurt and granola plate is a healthy alternative they offer.

Yes, I'm sure they'll give your DH the kids plate instead if that is what he wants.

Hi mamagoose!

Yes, the food is pre-plated, & yes, they will keep bringing more food as long as you ask for it. The kids' food is a bit different. Your husband can also request the 'healthy option' which includes the yogurt & granola. I answered some of your food questions in a post above - don't know if you noticed it. Hope this helps.

Just wanted to let you know...

When I called for CRT ADRs initially for the week of October 22nd, there were no breakfast ADRs available :sad2: , so I made one for lunch on Wednesday the 25th. :)

BUT, I called back earlier this evening and I was just able to make an ADR for breakfast on Tuesday! :cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

So...

1 - if you wanted a CRT breakfast during that week, something may have opened up as it did for me, and...

2 - if you wanted lunch on Wednesday, one opened up a couple of hours ago (for a party of 4). Don't know if it's still available, but it can't hurt to check!

I don;t think they'll let you have more than 1 option but I'm not sure. When we went in late Janu they were very rushed and busy and didn't offer more of anything but we had been before and I knew the deal. The kids get only french toast sticks and not many either. We immediately asked for more of those and more eggs for the whole table so the kids could also have eggs. Tables around us asked how we got more and I explained that it was all you can eat despite how the servers were acting. It worked out fine but it wasn't a great experience like it had been on previous visits.

I have a lunch ADR for 12:00 at CRT. How long does it take to get your picture taken and to get seated? How much time should I budget for the lunch? Is an hour reasonable, or does a CRT lunch generally take longer than that?

We are hoping to leave the MK immediately after we eat. I'm almost thinking of changing to a late breakfast if there are any openings, but I think my kids would like the lunch food better.

TIA!

Depending on where you eat and when a meal can be anywhere from an hour to 2 hours (sometimes longer!). I'd say CRT lunch is about 1 1/2 with the added photo time, waiting for your table, waiting for the princesses to circulate and eating.

Thank you to everyone who responded to all my questions about the CRT breakfast menu. You were very helpful! I'll make sure that we ask for more of what we need regardless of what impression the servers are giving. My DH sure can pack away the bacon!(and he's still skinny as a rail! :) ) My kids do like eggs, my DH doesn't, I suppose we can all just share each others plates, too! Thanks again for all your help! This site sure is a great place!

We have ADRs for CRT at 9:20 on a morning when the park opens at 9:00, but I think they take ADRs for earlier than park opening sometimes. Will we be able to get in any earlier than 9am to take care of the photo w/ Cindy, or will we have to wait until the the official opening?

They will allow you to have a seating before the park officially opens. We have an ADR for CRT at 8:25 and the park opens at 9:00. You have to have your confirmation number with you for them to let you in the park early. From what I hear it is a great photo op to get in the parks before the other people - a nice view of Main Street and the castle with NO PEOPLE except the ones you want! ;)

Thank you Miss Magnolia! :goodvibes

I'm even more excited now, because I just switched my CRT ADR to 8:20 am on the last day of our trip!! (That way, not much time lost touring the park!) I can't wait to see the castle with almost nobody around! pixiedust:

I can't believe how much I'm obsessing about all this!!

I am also obsessing about ADRs, eating at CRT, the trip in general... :) My DH thinks I'm nuts. This is my DD3's "mastering the potty" trip and a breakfast with the princesses in the castle was a MUST DO!! I am also a photo crazy scrapbooker and am very excited to get photos at MK with just my two little ones on Main Street alone (I also have a DS6). The only thing that could make it better would be to "magically" create enough time for her to get a fairy tale makeover at the Bibbidi Boppidi Boutique before breakfast for her photo with Cinderella! princess:

I'm new to all this but have a question! When you book CRT, do you pay for the entire meal in advance? Or do you just give them your credit card number to secure the ADR? Thanks for helping this newbie out! :)

No matter what, they take your CC; if you are not on the dining plan they will charge you in full, if you are on the dining plan then they will not charge your CC; it will just be a hold in case of a no show/no cancel.

Sorry but I dont have time to scan 200 pgs!!! ha ha
Im making PS today, is breakfast or lunch better as far as characters? TIA :thumbsup2

I read on Allears that she is sometimes there but i want to know it anyone had actually seen her??

Thanks! I appreciate all of your handy information here and about the MNSSHP on other threads.

I decided to cancel a noon CRT lunch on 9/15 for 3 people. If anyone is interested, there should be an opening.

By all accounts she is - I haven't done it myself to confirm but I'm going in June to find this out! I know she wasn't at the breakfast when I did it last year...I have seen pics and no doubt some kind person will confirm for you. :wizard:

She is on the schedule to be there for lunch and dinner (and Belle in her yellow dress does breakfast) but of course, it subject to change. Some have reported seeing Belle at dinner though.

We ate there in Oct and Dec and Ariel was there both times at lunch.
