Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

my girlfriend went a week and a half ago and took her DD to the lunch. They had a wonderful time and the pictures are beautiful. She got an 8 x 10 and also 1 or 2 smaller ones. I couldn't believe how nice they were. They came in a little cardboard frame that was pretty decent too. I was impressed and so was she.

We could not get into breakfast so we went for the lunch at the Castle. I have already paid ahead for the meal and picture deal. I am just glad we got in. All of the character meals we are doing will be a surprise for our DD. I know this sounds weird but, should we just have our DD in the picture or should me and my DH be in it with her??? I plan to have several pictures taken in the park with the photopass card. I am a photographer myself so will have my camera attached to me. LOL :rotfl2: I just want some family photos too. Any suggestions? Do you think it would be better to have just our DD9 in the photo herself???

TIA

If you can afford it, when you get there ask them if it is possible to do both! I know at Chef Mickey's it wa a picture of the entire family...and of course I bought the pics.

need a little advise...we are going in OCt. last time we went we did the cindy breakfast with our twins...Wondering if you all think we should do that again or lunch, dinner,,?? Just wanted to see what if any difference??
Was thinking dinner then we would be there for the halloween party but heard at dinner not all of the princesses just cindy that true???

Also how far out can I call for my ressie?? thanks...

I called last night about 8:15 Central time and got it for June 3rd, well inside the booking window. Someone must have cancelled. I couldn't believe it. We've done it before, but we were always up dialing at exactly the moment the phone lines opened up. We would even use three different phones trying to get through.

I kind of thought what an earlier poster had said, "What the heck. I might as well ask." I was calling for other reservations. My DW was stunned, the girls were happy, and Papa was a Disney God again.

So, don't give up!!

when to go is completely up to you...but Cindy is the only princess that is for sure going to be there @ lunch & dinner. If it is important to your twins to see them all I would aim for breakfast. I think it is still 180 days out to make your ressie...just be prepared to pre pay!

Have you ever been to the Halloween Party before? VERY VERY VERY Crowded! Big night for the locals I think! Be prepared! I was disappointed that I paid an additional $100+ dollars for our tickets to the party and the kids only got a hand ful of candy, and the lines to ride anything were forever long! It is neat tho to see the park with all the flying Mickey Bats, and characters in costume.

I would never tell anyone not to try something. Just because I didn't care for it and wont do it again more than likely doesn't mean that you wont go and have a great time. I was just not prepared for the crowds. I guess I assumed that since the park wasn't to bad during the day it would not be bad for the party...especially since it was an additional admission price. I know we ordered our tickets several months in advance, and glad I did, since they sold out...and I think I remember a cm telling that that they usually sell out every year.

I am a total newbie, and had no idea you needed to book 180 days out. I just booked our vacation for July 26 through August 1, and came here, and then panicked when I realized I was well within the 180 day window. I called dining and was able to get CRT's for breakfast for my first choice of day and time. I was expecting to have to call back repeatedly and beg for cancellations, but it was easy! I was very surprised, anyone else finding it easier than they expected to get into CRT's breakfast?

oh now i totally understand I just wanted an opionion on it..DH and I were discussing it this morning....Not sure what to do?? I so appreciate the advice...thanks....I do not know if we are up to all of the crowds thoug..How was the park during the day???

We went to Cindy's Breakfast for Valentine's Day. It was a lovely day. I just felt that we were rushed and the waitor seemed to always in a hurry. He seemed to be upset if we asked for something else. The princesses were in a hurry to get to the next table. It was nice that Cindy was downstairs and that the pictures were taken. They did come out beautiful.

Are you guys sure about the lunch? From everything else that I read and the way that the CM explained it to me on the phone when making reservations, breakfast and lunch are the same package with pictures and toys for kids and a parade of princesses at the end of the meal. Only difference is the food served. Dinner is different with a different photo package and no parade of princesses after the meal. Please let me know since I have lunch reservations at CRT on Mother's Day; I am expecting the whole package.

We went February 15th for breakfast. I felt the same way...that we were rushed....that the entire event was rushed. Cinderella appeared....the pictures were taken..."WHOOSH"...then to the dinning room......we had to eat quickly....the princesses appeared...QUICKLY...I did mention that I had my Dinning Card and asked for the 20% off...Our waiter returned with a Disney Gift Card for that amount. I am the grandmother....this was my gift...I have nothing to compare it to from before.....I am glad we did it..but, would not do it again..... pixiedust:

The Halloween party crowds can vary greatly depending on which night you go and if it's the beginning of the month or towards the end of the month. Also, it can even depend on which part of the park you hang out at. Everyone has a different experience. I've gone sold out Halloween night twice and last year we went Oct 1.

I had a GREAT time all 3 times and would highly recommend trying it out for yourself. If you go with a plan and priorities set, you will do just fine. My plan is usually eating beforehand. Getting some rides in in the dead lands before the crowds come (right at 7:00p), get my free picture taken ASAP, trick or treat (no matter how crowded it is, those lines go SO fast). I then
get a spot for the 9:15p fireworks, and then get a spot for the second parade. It dramatically dies down during the second parade for rides. From then on it's dies down as those with small kids leave.

Try it once.

thanks so much...sounds like we should try it at least once...

The weather was GREAt...the Parks were not crowded at all, I don't think we really even used the fast passes. I would love to go back in Oct. again...maybe in 2008 we will.

Just check out the park hours, they are not open as late in the evening, but still have EMH.

Also, does anyone know if they accommodate vegetarians. I believe the meals are pre-plated so, at breakfast, will we get a plate each half full of meat that we don't need? Sorry, just a bit confused on this.

You have a choice between the eggs, bacon, sausage, etc plate or what they called a Healthy plate that had yogurt, granola, etc. There is also a bowl of fruit and basket of muffins, sweet rolls, etc that comes with either breakfast choice. Additionally they will also allow you to select the kids meal which is french toast sticks like you can get at any fast food place for breakfast.

I didn't want my kids to just eat frech toast sticks, especially for that price, so I asked for an extra plate of scrambled eggs for them which was no problem (beyond the fact that the waitress was extremely rushed).

I just wanted to thank you all for the information. We are planning on visiting WDW in Nov 07, for DD's 5th birthday and I was hoping to celebrate at Cinderella's Castle. I purchased the Unofficial Guide To Disney World and he says you can only call for reservations exactly 90 days in advance, Thank you all so much for the correct info. I would have been sick, if I couldn't get in on her actual b'day!!

I am sure when the book was published it was correct. WDW only recently went to the 180 days out to book ADR.
