Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

I have heard that same rumor about lunch. I also heard that restaurant Akerhaus (Norway) in Epcot now does princess breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have done both the castle with Cinderella and the princess breakfast at Akerhaus. We felt very rushed in both case and the food was old and cold. Some of it so hard we couldn't eat it.
Maybe with a new Cinderella lunch and Princess lunch and dinner they won't feel the need to rush people. It was a lot of money for horrible food and just a minute or two with Cinderella and the other princesses. Good luck with your reservation.

lunch is available and so is dinner..I heard the dinner was really nice since then you can stay for the fireworks..

5:45 a.m. (CST). My Mission: CRT for Dec 20.
My friend and I are camped out on her porch under the stars, sitting on towels to keep out the damp, and start our CRT dialing at 5:56 with four cell phones. The kids are asleep, so this is a covert op.
At 6:01, she gets in!
At 6:01.10 I get in!
The Horror! I forgot to tell her TGM's tips for getting past the marking blitz at the outset. I quickly explain, while I use his tips, and...
Medina picks up the line!
I blurt out my request, fingers crossed, hoping, praying...
:cheer2: :cheer2: YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS! :cheer2: :cheer2:
8:15 a.m. CRT breakfast, Dec 20th for 6
The only thing that could ruin this perfect moment? My friend snaps of a photo of me, sans make-up in glasses & sweats as I arrange the details. :rotfl:
Should be a good one for the scrapbook.

Best of luck, everyone! :cloud9:

Can someone tell me what page the hints for getting through are on? Thanks

Am I right in understanding that lunch is easier to get then breakfast? But the princess interaction/number of princesses is the exact same though right??

Thanks

Yes, I've found from my experience and reading posts here that lunch doesn't book up quite as fast as breakfast. But it will fill up too, of course.

Characters should be about the same but of course the meal is different.

I think it's just that many prefer breakfast times to lunch times...I'm one of them.

After reading a bunch of threads and getting some helpful (but occasionally conflicting) advice, I decided to write a quick "help sheet" for others who are doing the same.

Here is the process I recommend:

1) Determine the date that you can make your Cindy's reservation. Go to the DIS Priority Seating calculator and verify the earliest calling date for the dates that you can attend (90 days prior). Realize that there is a VERY good chance that you will be unsuccessful if you only try once. So plan on getting a PS for early in your trip and if you get it, GREAT. If you don't, you can still try the next morning.

2) Have your credit card ready. Disney now requires a credit card guarantee of $10 per adult and $5 per child. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

3) You should only make reservations using the (407) 939-3463 number. The (800) numbers used for Annual Passholders and other services sometimes have delays (as much as 12 seconds) that will seriously hinder your ability to get a Cindy's PS.

4) Syncronize your clock. Go to the official U.S. time clock for great results. I have DSL at home, so I leave the official U.S. clock up on my screen while calling.

5) Get up and 'at 'em! Begin calling at about 6:58am Eastern time. Plan on calling 10-15 times during this two minute period. The range seems to be picking up between 6:58:30am and 6:59:30am. Some people have successfully tried and used multiple phones to get through.

Please note that there are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling Walt Disney World. Our office is closed... (hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial immediately).
or
b) Thank you for calling Disney dining. At this time, we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have already arrived for your Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any Walt Disney World restaurant to make your dining Priority Seating arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Once you hear option b, you're in and on hold! Do NOT hang up or you may lose any chance of a ressie! Please note that you cannot select any options while this message is being read. You must wait until the word "understanding" is completed.

After this passage is read (i.e. immediately after the word "understanding" is read), immediately hit the number "1" key twice on your phone.

Here are the options that you are skipping:
If you are calling to make a Priority Seating for Victoria and Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, please press 2. If not, press 1.

If you are calling from the Orlando area, or to make a reservation for within the next seven days, please press 1. If you are calling to make a reservation for your upcoming trip, press 2.

I don't recommend that you select #2 in the second option because if you select it, you will then be asked to give additional information (i.e. how long it has been since you last visited WDW, how many times you have been to WDW in the past four years, your telephone and/or reservation #). You don't have time for these options, so select #1 as directed above to skip them. After hitting the number "1" key twice on your phone pad as described above, the following line will be read:

Thank you for your time and patience. All of our representatives are currently assisting other guests. We look forward to speaking with you momentarily.

Again, do NOT hang up. Wait for the next available CM. You are almost there! Cross your fingers AND toes!

6) Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CM and blurt out "I need Cindy's, for **insert date**, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.

7) Be sure to write down your time and PS #. If your PS is before the park opening, you'll have to present your PS# to get into the park.

Please note that if you can't get a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table, another excellent character breakfast is the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot!

Have any editorial suggestion? Please share!

Good luck to you all!

Is CRT set up like Crystal Palace? Do the characters move around from table to table?

I don't want to tie up the dining CM looking for dates early in my trip (my prefered date Tues Jan 3, day four of our 90+10) vs. simply asking CM to look for CRT for a later date (my not preferred date Sat Jan 7, day 8 of our trip).

Questions:
Due to the new ADR 90+10, I assume I would have an easier time getting CRT for day 8 vs. day 4 of our trip? So should I have the CM simply look for day 8 of our trip as soon as she/he answers the phone? I wouldn't want to tie up the cms time looking for day 4, be told NO, and then miss out on day 8 also (since she/he was busy looking for day 4 first).

Please advise, I am brand new to making ADRs.
Thank you

Also: just double checking: If I check in Dec 31, can I make my ADR's Oct 2 at 7am?
Thank you
Suzy

Your best best, it seems, is always 90 days from the actual ADR, because they do not release all of the ADRs for CRT at 90+10, but if you have your heart set on a certain day (day 4 or 8) I would ask for that one first 90 days from your check-in (10/2) and then go from there. Don't worry if you don't get CRT using 90 + 10. I didn't, and I was easily able to get CRT 90 days from the actual ADR day.

10/2 is the 90 day mark using Deb's calculator. If you are wondering about the 90 + 10 vs. 100 day ADR policy, I was unable to make any ADRS until it was 90 days from the day I was checking in. However, at that 90 day mark I was able to make ADRs for the next 10 days (in your case, Jan 1-10.) Hope that helps.

P.S. For CRT you should start calling (somewhat obsessively) at around 6:58 a.m., as suggested in the awesome UG (also in an above post.) Worked like a charm for me :wizard:

:cool1:

I am now Super Mom. I made our reservation for breakfast at Cinderalla's Royal Table for Dec 20. I tried Monday to get the reservation since that was 90 days out from our arrival at Wilderness Lodge. No luck. I was worried because the CM told me they were sold out. Fortunately I remembered that they release more tables exactly 90 days out from when you want to reserve a table. So, bright and early this morning while the kids were still asleep, I called. I waited with some nervousness but the CM said to me "just sit back and relax and I'll get your information". WHOO HOO! I got what I wanted.

The kids are really excited about going.

If I wanted to try to get CRT for breakfast the day we arrive, can I try do get it 110 days out or is it only 10 days after your arrival date. Sorry if this has been asked before.

I don't know. I have never considered CRT to be a romantic dining place from what I have seen and read. There are so many more romantic places to eat at WDW. :) We're trying Artists Point at WL next time we're there. Can't wait.

Yes! There are many more romantic places...It is great to eat at the Castle...and I would actually prefer dinner than character...are the dinner slots booked also? Since it's your wedding trip...tell them that and even the hotel when you check in...it's much easier to get a table for two even last minute.

But others I'd try would be Alfredo's, Le Cellier (it's dark in there and somewhat romantic), Chefs de France, California Grill, Narcoosee's...lots of choices!

Have a wonderful honeymoon!
Tara

Okay, this 90 +10 reservation system is still confusing to me. Does this mean that on your first day to be able to call (90 days), there is a possibility that you will be unable to get a CRT reservation for your entire trip? I'm not sure that I like this at all. I like knowing that if you didn't get in the first time, you have a fresh, new chance the next day. What does everyone else think about this? Do you feel that this really limits your chances of getting a reservation? Thanks for the info!

no , you can call 90 days from when you want to sit and eat and all the tables are opened then. only a few are released the new way. it worked well for us at the 90 day of seating and as I see on this board for everyone else to.

I called 90 days from our arrival of Dec 19th and could not get any breakfast. Only 1 day for a late luch was open. I started calling at 6:59 and was on hold for 40 minutes. then after I booked I heard she may not even be there for the lunch...Any advice on the lunch. I have a 4 year old who plans to see her for lunch. she will be heart broken if shes not there! princess:
