Cinderella's Royal Table - 8:00am or late breakfast?

Hi! We're looking to do breakfast at CRT but I'm torn when to make the ADR. I've heard a lot of people say that an 8am breakfast is the way to go because you get to see an empty Main Street. I've also heard that you miss prime RD riding time by doing that and a later breakfast is better.

I don't want to rush the meal since we're there for the characters so I'm leaning toward a late breakfast but I also like the idea of getting into the park before the crowd. This will be our first trip and it would be amazing for DD5 to see Cinderella Castle this way for the first time.

So the question is, do we go for the 8am reservation and hope we make it out before RD or head for the rides at RD and do a later breakfast ADR? Can anyone weigh in on this and let me know your opinion?

Thanks!

What time of year are you visiting? It really is magical to get in the park early and take some photos on Main Street. Honestly, they hustle you though pretty quickly anyway. If you are there in time for an 8 AM, you'll probably be done by rope drop without even trying. We love sitting in the castle planning the day ahead of us.

The one curve ball to watch for is if you're there during a busy season and they change park open to 8 AM. Then you really don't want to be sitting in a restaurant during the first park hour. And they sometimes make that change just a few weeks out.

We're planning for the end of April 2016. And we're staying offsite so we're avoiding any park with EMH that day.

.
When you say they hustle you through, do you mean for early dining reservations?

My opinion is that they sort of hustle everybody through all day, because most don't want to spend too much of their park day sitting in a restaurant, and because they want to turn over the table. But if you don't feel like hustling, you should absolutely take your time.

Both are good choices. What time would your family prefer to eat?
We're definitely breakfast eaters but we could do it either way.

I guess my plan is to hit Peter Pan first thing because I want to see the new queue but I don't want to get stuck in a long line. If we could make it to rope drop without super rushing then we would probably do the 8am reservation. If there's a good chance that we won't be done in time, then we would do the later ADR and hit PP at RD.

I bet you'll be fine with PP even if you miss rope drop by a bit. I have to think 7DMT and A/E have changed typical rope drop patterns. And if you want to see the extended queue, you need to wait a bit anyway. They don't necessarily open it straight up at rope drop.

That helps a lot. Thanks!

If it were me, I'd go for the 8am. There's nothing quite like walking down the empty Main Street- we got some amazing photos when we went in for breakfast at Crystal Palace. We were out and hitting the park there by about 9.10am. But you know your family best and know what your priority is! :D

We had an 8 am CRT 2 years ago and it was great. Really neat to see the Castle and Main St with very few people. Finished breakfast in less than an hour and after we waited right near the Castle for the park to officially open at 9am we walked right on PP!
