Cinderella's Castle....isn't it popular any more?

Maybe it has to do with all the negative reviews regarding the food??? We loved the Norway princess breakfasta and that one is only 1 credit, plus you get the free photo with Belle!

I agree. We've done both, but we keep going back to Norway. The food is better and I felt SOOO rushed at CRT. It is definitely not worth 2 TS in my opinion.

When we priced it out of pocket, there wasn't a great difference in the cost per person compared to Norway (which we have done before) so we decided eating in the castle would be worth it this one time. If we were on DDP, I think we'd do the breakfast in Norway rather than use two dining credits on CRT. We really liked the Akershus breakfast, just think the thrill of castle dining for our 3.5 year old will make it worth the extra money. I really didn't think I'd be quite so excited to dine at CRT, but I feel like a kid myself, all giddy about our January breakfast. We decided it's the only character breakfast that we'll do this trip. I can't wait!

My sister and I are also super excited even though the main reason we're going is for my 3.5 year old niece. We're wearing cute summer dresses that have princess elements to them, not costumes at all, just similar colors the princesses wear along with Disney Couture jewelry. So I guess the experience can be just as exciting for grown up princesses!;).

As far as the food is concerned I've read mixed reviews so I haven't set my expectations high. Again I think it's more about the experience and what you make of it. I'll definitely post reviews when we get back.:)

This will be our 7th time in the MK but our first time successfully booking CRT. I am taking my DD at noon to the BBB to get her hair done at DTD and then we have our first MNSSHP at 4 and I think our dinner is at 5:50PM. I am looking forward to it! We loved Askershus but aren't going to Epcot this time. Also we get to see the Princesses on our Dream cruise.

I was shocked today to see a CRT breakfast pop up for our trip in less than 3 weeks! We had lunch years ago and dinner last trip but never breakfast. I do love eating in the castle so I am very happy that someone cancelled at the right time for me to snag it!

I always thought it was hard to get reservations at Cinderella's Castle. I decided to try for our trip in January, and I had plenty of choices. Then I called back later in the day and was even able to change times. Was I just lucky? Or have the crowds moved elsewhere?
Just like today's overhyped restaurants running off reputations of long ago, so is your thought of CRT ADR is hard to get. When there was only CRT breakfast and no other princess option...it was hard. Today, CRT is breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus other princess dining options. It is not hard to get an ADR any more in comparison to the true past.

We had lunch at CRT in May. We found it overpriced for the quality of food and overall a disappointing experience. So, they might not be having a lot of repeat traffic. I would go back to Norway's princess dinner. The food was good, just wish they had a couple more "authentic" dishes. (I really loved this restaurant before the princesses took over!)

For us the cost is the reason we don't book it, and probably hitting a lot of other people in the wallet too. It would be 308.00 for us to eat their for breakfast and that does not include tip.

We ate their a couple of years ago, and it was good....but very cramped and almost impossible for the kids to get up and go get a photo with the princess/fairy god mother. Definitely not worth 2 TS credits when we were on that dining plan, but now that we pay OOP for our TS meals, we've chosen to eat at other places that cost less and have more room (although most restaurants on site have so many tables shoved in the dining area.....they are all crowded).

We'll probably eat in the castle again next year or the following one....that way our youngest 3 are older and will remember it more, they were 2, 3 and 4 when we ate their the first time. And probably for breakfast since I think that's the cheapest meal? But really.....no matter what the food taste like and no matter what the setting is, 350.00 is a LOT to pay on any meal so we don't book it yearly.

You get a free photo pkg with Cinderella also. CRT breakfast was absolutely fantastic!!! Service was great, princess interaction was great & we never felt rushed at all. Lots of food!! They even boxed up the leftover pastries & croissants for us to take. (no, we didn't ask for them, lol). Luckily this was a late bkfst & we were heading back to CR for a swim break so we didn't have to carry around the box. We had dinner at CRT on Thanksgiving in 2009 & got a great server then also & never felt rushed. The food was traditional turkey dinner so it was ok. We have done breakfast at Askerhaus twice & always enjoyed it also but CRT bkfast was better food wise & character wise & had a more relaxed feeling than Askerhaus.

I think people prefer Akershus to CRT its a better value and there are more princesses.

Agreed...I understand that eating at Akershus means you are not eating in the castle. But given our problematic economy, folks are going to be drawn to obtaining better "value" for their dollars. Value is subjective folks, so what one person considers great value someone else might not.

Also, CRT has the reputation for being a difficult ADR to secure. I'm sure some folks don't want to spend most of their time leading up to their trip trying to catch the so called "holy grail" of ADRs.

we used to really like the CRT but they food isnt that great and once there was a leak in the ceiling that kept dripping on my sleeping little brother

I'm sure what was leaking on your little brother was simply pixie dust.

Be glad Disney didn't charge you extra! ;)

I actually prefer 1900 Park Fare to either Akershus or CRT. The Stepsisters are a hoot and the food is better.

When we went this summer we loved the food. LeCellier was not even as good as CRT.
