Cinderella movie question/observation

Another non disney one but it has always bugged me, why in Spongebob do they have lifeguards? :rotfl2:
And Patrick & Spongebob don't know how to swim :confused3

Although I will say I LOVE Patrick's rock! That is one amazing rock -- you just never know what type of fancy place he might have under there.

I'm trying to think of Disney ones & I'm drawing a blank. I know I had a whole conversation one time about all these little things that if you take them at face value don't make any sense whatsoever.

thank god none of us work for disney...we'd bring up these questions and be fired! lol

the sleeping beauty thing i wondered yet again when i read it to dd last nite...again.....

This thread is too funny.:lmao:

Last week while watching Lady and the Tramp DS5 wanted to know why 3 of the puppies looked like Lady but only one of the puppies looked like Tramp. And he decided that wasn't fair.

At the end of Finding Nemo I always wonder how the fish from the dentist's fish tank were going to get out of those bags? I always think that if they don't get out quick they are going to cook in those bags. There they are floating in the Sydney Harbor in the hot sun. . .

And I have also wondered what happened to Max and Ruby's parents.

Caillou may be bald and whiny but he always does what his parents say. Very unlike my kids. . .:rolleyes1

I hate the Calliou episode where they stop the car and let him pee in the woods. Just what my DS needed to see!

What I hate it the wonderpets. My son has been a binky fan since birth and still is, which is probably why he has a lisp. Well, the one animal, can't remember which, on wonderpets slurs her words and talks "baby talk"... which drives me nuts. It's supposed to be educational, but yet they don't pronounce the words right, so when kids are singing along or trying to learn a new word... they are saying it wrong :headache:

Pretty big reason my good feelings towards Blue's Clues plummeted when Blue became "real", talked, and it turned into Blue's Room. I canNOT understand her...I understood her better when she was just making dog-talk noises than when she speaks English.

When DS imitates Blue, he does the dog-talk, LOL, even though he does like Blue's Room.

I think that's where we leave their thoughts, too...they're wondering the exact same thing...

Really, its Tico that drives the car (notice that the cabby doesn't speak English. Sterotype, much? Boots dad's the engineer... native English speaker. I'm just sayin'). I keep wondering what the heck is wrong with Dora's parents - they let her run off to the south pole with only a monkey and a squirrel. Someone really should call CPS.

I also wonder when she gets across crocodile lake and the boat gets destroyed on her way to tallest mountain, how the dickens she gets home.

DH and I have this whole theory about her grandmother being a Soviet-era spy in hiding.

It is not a stereotype. Half of the characters on there don't speak English. Are you saying spanish speaking people can't drive cars?

The one that gets me, though, is on Little Einsteins when they sing about the baby boo b bird. My kids giggle non-stop while trying to sing that.

Okay I'm watching An Extremely Goofy Movie now and my 3yr old goes "Where is his mommy if Goofy is his daddy?" Leave it to a 3yr old to notice.

I ask my daughters about Max and Ruby when we watch it and they just shrug and say "Their parents are dead!!!" :confused3

Sort of like the Manny question, I was always waiting for the Bob the Builder episode where Bob marries Wendy (I think that was her name).

And with Nemo, I always thought the sea gulls were so funny because it sounded like they were saying "Mine, mine", which is sort of logical. I knew they were saying "Mate" but no one believed me until I turned the captions on to read the words.

Did you ever wonder why the blond guy (what's his name?)and Daphne were always going off together to search for ghosts in Scooby-doo and left the other girl to go with Shaggy and Scooby? I thought those two didn't get much investigative work done. . .:cool2:

My biggest one is from the new Tinkerbell movie. At the end, she meets Wendy, who is 3 or 4. Yet, Tink took Peter away to Neverland when he was a baby, and by the time they meet up with Wendy in Peter Pan, wendy and Peter are around the same age. It just doesn't make sense chronologically, and I don't know why they felt the need to do it at the end of the Tinkerbell movie.

Does anyone else have a problem with the lessons taught on Max and Ruby. When Ruby was trying to get a scout badge for fist aid Max messed it all up and tied hundreds of knots into the bandage. Then the scout master saw it and gave her a knot badge and everyone was so happy for Ruby and her friend was jealous because she didn't even have that badge. Ruby was so proud of herself. Nice honesty they are teaching the kids there. Max should get the badge. This is not the only episode but it is the one that bothers me the most.

Seriously!! We always have thought they were saying "Mine" now I have to go find our dvd to watch it with the captions on...

I thought the birds were saying "Mine, mine" too. I would have never considered they were saying anything else until I read this thread.

I guess I always assumed the trap was not on their property and the mouse, since they talked and all, were polite enough not to do doo-doo in her room- they clean and sew after all....

I didn't look through all the answers/questions, so I am sorry if I am repeating anyone's.

1. On Franklin, why does Franklin actually have a real name, but the rest are bear, beaver, fox, etc....Shouldn't Franklin just be called turtle?

2. Where are Max and Ruby's parents?

3. How come Charlie and Lola switch from American to British vernacular? They live in a flat, but they play soccer. Shouldn't they be playing football?

4. How and why does Curious George get to visit the zoo so much? Wouldn't the zookeepers lock him up? Does George like seeing imprisoned animals?

5. How did Steve from Blue's Clues make it into college? He needs help counting to 3 and figuring out what letter comes between L and N.

6. When Oobi gets older and is looking for work, is he going to get a "hand" job?

. . .:cool2:

I was sure it was "mine" because my DS9 has a Disney shirt from a Disney store... it has the birds and underneath says "Mine, mine, mine" and he loves it!

You know, maybe I have a different version from the US one. We bought our Finding Nemo DVD in Australia, Region 4. The captions say Mate but I would be interested to see if the US version is different. . .

It's what they seem to be saying at Disneyland, too, with the Nemo ride.

Interesting. Captioning is only as good as the person doing it, so if the person doing it is hearing it as "mate" that's what they're going to write.

Plus, does saying "mate" even make sense? "Mine" makes sense b/c they are saying that the fish are theirs...but doesn't "mate" mean friend? And they're going to eat them, so they aren't friends, right?

Interesting.

Here's one... The character's on Franklin are all animal's, in fact Franklin is a turtle. So how does he buy a puppy as a pet? Shouldn't the puppy be his classmate?

I always wondered about this show...How come Franklin is the only one with a real name...everyone else is called whatever animal they are...Beaver, Fox, Possum...weird...
