Cinderella Castle Announcement

I think the color is a whole lot of nothing. I think that their was one or two reasons that it got to its current color. It was either they were seeing if it helped the clarity of the projections or it was to kind of match the color scheme of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland. To me either reason is good. I don't think that many people have be extremely upset by the current color that Disney would drop everything and redo it.

As for the Dream Light, well keep on Dreaming that is never coming back and they can kind of recreate it as a projection if they wanted too.

I've address the Castle Cake before and that is a matter of personal taste, but I personally thought it was not only a very clever idea for the 25th but it was done back when the imagineers were still having a strong say in what happened in the parks. It is a simple thing to figure out that it was a very expensive thing to create and build, but it was also a fantastic thing for a fantasy theme park. If you look past that "sacred" plastic castle and look at the detail and imagination as well as the skill to create it, one might be able to appreciate that massive project, that was only of one year anyway and was never going to be permanent. However, partially due to the loyalist complaining like someone took away their pacifier and also the change in Management now controlled by accountants and fear a few hundred thousand less in bonuses, we will no longer see that kind of creativity done just for the fun of it. That's one of the things that I miss about WDW. They managed to suck the fun out of it in the never ending quest to become enormously wealthy. It's hard work and physically exhausting to visit WDW now and has been for a few years, but never as bad as it is now. They are creating a few new attraction with their usual destroy and replace battle cry. Honestly I didn't work that hard when I was actually working for a living that is required to visit a allegedly fun theme park. It's probably fun for the accountants that get to play with all the money and a lot of long numbers.
