Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby Stuff Themselves Silly! THE END..on to the next TR!

Aloha!
Yay for the vehicle upgrade!

Have fun & please do a mini-TR for Hawaii!

Hope you're having fun in Hawaii! I'd love to read a mini-TR and, of course, see your photos!

So happy for you both! Enjoy your vacation and do please give us a mini-TR when you return! :goodvibes

Just wanted to stop by and say We're Back from Hawaii! We got in last night, and still recovering from the 5 hour time difference. (not fun) - luckliy DST went into effect during our trip and we only have a 5 hour difference, not 6. LOL. Still waking up this morning was so hard. I have the day off today but DH didn't. Tomorrow will be a challenge to get to work in the morning.

Hawaii was wonderful. Our time on the Big Island was amazing. It was the first time for the both of us, so seeing everything for the first time was so cool. We took a helicopter ride over the volcano (not as exciting as you'd think since the lava flows below the surface and is not spewing from a mountain) but we did get to see lots of smoke and just glimpses of lava. We drove all around the island, even to the southernmost point of the USA. We ate a TON of food, and have some new favorite places we will be sure to go to next time we are there. There was so much to see and do there that of course we couldn't do it all on this trip. I guess we have to save it for another time!

On Maui, which we had gone to last year, we went back to our favorite restaurants, and returned to do sights we had missed last time. We caught an amazing sunset from the top of Haleakala mountain, and snorkeled on our favorite beaches. Too bad the snorkeling was just not as good this year as it was on our last trip. But overall, we love Maui and had a great time!

I'll be sure to post pictures. I am downloading it all now. And tonight I will be posting Day 5 part 2 of our TR from Disney! Yay!

I still have a TON to catch up with, but I WILL get caught up on everyone's TR/PTR!!

Glad to have you back and that you had a fun trip! :goodvibes Looking forward to seeing pictures!

WE missed you and your updates! Glad you are back!YOu missed my Tonga Toast day hahahahhah

Day 5 Part 2: The World & Le Cellier

The ferry arrives at Epcot and we immediately walk into the WS area. DH takes my card and runs to get Soarin’ FP. I decide to walk around WS for a bit. We agree to meet up at Canada just in time for our lunch.

Here’s DH rushing off to Soarin’.

I walked around France for a bit. Didn’t want to ruin my appetite by getting a pastry from the patisserie, but you know, I was tempted to!

5040074385_0fd8053e7b_z.jpg

I had never explored Morocco much so I took the opportunity to look around a bit. It was really quite pretty inside. And actually quite empty too. Barely anyone around.

Then it was off to England where I got to indulge in a bit of tea and some toys. I love the England pavillion. It’s so pretty and proper, hehe.

Then finally it was time for our 1:10pm ADRs at Le Cellier. I made my way to Canada where I met with DH. Canada is REALLY pretty. The grounds are just so perfectly manicured and picturesque.

5040079747_c6833343c7_z.jpg

Yum! Lunch was calling out to us!

5040699586_d4eea273c1_o.jpg

Now when we checked in, they told me that my ADR was actually for 12:10pm, not 1:10pm. OMG really??? I was so scared that I messed up and I wouldn’t be able to get a seat, but they said to get them like 10 minutes and they were able to seat us. I think being a party of 2 helped, as I doubt they could have accommodated us if we were any larger. Darn. I thought I double checked the ressies earlier but I guess I didn’t!

While waiting, there were Cms doing a short trivia game. I don’t know what the question was, but DH managed to answer it correctly so he got a Mickey sticker for his efforts, LOL. It was something to do with Canada (obviously)

Luckily we got seated with only a 10 minute wait. I was worried that it would be longer since we had missed our original ressies, but I guess we did get lucky.

Our server, was a very friendly guy. I forgot his name, but he was super duper nice. He was probably one of the best CMs we had. He told us about the menu, and that they also had a prix-fixe which you could use the dining plan on. Since we knew that we didn’t want anything on the prix fixe, we opted to go a la carte. But I was definitely getting some of that cheddar cheese soup. Now, I’m a fan of soup, but not a huge fan. I mean I think it’s because I eat soup a lot for lunch. For me, it’s the easiest thing to eat when I’m in a rush at work, and it’s one of those things that even our building’s cafeteria can’t screw up that much on. (although sometimes it’s so bland I want to cry) but for the most part, I rarely order soup (unless it’s french onion) at a restaurant. But being that this soup has somewhat of a reputation, I thought I would order it just to see. DH wanted to try another appetizer, and so we settled on the appetizer trio sampler which you can see in the menu pic here

5040079999_501a27444a_o.jpg

I have to warn you, my pictures in Le Cellier are not good. It’s really dark in there, and I only had my point and shoot. Also I didn’t want to use flash so as to not disrupt other diners. It really is that dark inside. It’s cave-like almost. So I tried using light from my blackberry to try and provide some ambient lighting but it didn’t really work that well. It’s ok, I am sure on another thread there are much better Le Cellier pics to drool at.

Our bread sampler. It was warm and chewey. The pretzel bread was sooo good! But I liked them all.

5040700328_f002974a72.jpg

Our appetizers, 2 portions of soup, 1 tomato stack and 2 crab cake. They were all absolutely delicious. The soup was just amazing. I didn’t think a soup could make me have cravings but it’s a good thing they don’t make this near me or else I’d eat it ALL THE TIME. I even swaped half of my crab cake for half of DH’s soup. I think he liked the soup, but he liked the crab cake more. Yay for me.

5040700866_2b1351139f_o.jpg

For our main course, we both got the strip steak. We both prefer the flavor of strip over filet mignon. How was the steak? It was great.! Was it the best steak I’ve eaten? No, but it was a good grilled steak. The meat was tender and it was cooked well. I actually prefer my steaks broiled and not grilled, but it didn’t really matter that much. It was good either way.

For dessert, I got the chocolate cake, and DH got some sort of passion fruit semifredo, meringue thing. They were both good. The chocolate cake was delicious, I loved it. Sometimes chocolate cake is good but can be boring, but Le Cellier's version was so rich and full of delicious chocolate flavor! I was so full I could only eat half of it….ok maybe ¾ of it. LOL.

Wow what a huge meal. We were absolutely stuffed after, I could barely move. Le Cellier definitely lived up to all the hype it’s getting. It’s going to be a must-do for us on the next trip, especially if we are on the dining plan!

Next up…roaming around Epcot and starring in our own Video game!! Plus a mini TR from our time in Hawaii!!

I'm envious...I tried really hard to get an ADR at Le Cellier on this last trip (called every day, went online a couple of times a day) but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe next trip!

But it sounds like your lunch lived up to the hype! :goodvibes

Yumm Le Cellier! :lovestruc We went there for lunch last Thursday and it was great, as usual. Our reservation was on the early side and I wasn't too hungry so i didn't get the cheese soup this time. :( I love the Mad Hatter doll! And is that the Queen of Hearts doll on the shelf behind you in the Eeyore pic?? I want one now!

I just explored Morocco for the first time during our trip too, it is SO pretty in there! They have some really beautiful things to buy in the stores too!

Mmmmmm...Le Cellier! We just ate there twice and it was fantastic both times! I like the strip steak, but for me, there is just nothing better than their filet! And that pretzel bread is SOOOO good!

Yum! Loved your update on Le Cellier... I haven't yet gone myself but was able to sample the Cheddar Cheese soup at the F&W Festival a couple years ago and it was heavenly! They have the recipe for it on allearsnet... in case you want to venture a try yourself! (I haven't yet... but I've heard the recipe is spot on!)

Can't wait to hear about your Hawaii trip... SO glad that you had such a great time!!! :thumbsup2

Great update & pics of Canada & England. I would love to try that Cheese soup! It makes me hungry to think about it.

Yay for your husband winning a Mickey Sticker!!!!! :rotfl:

WELCOME BACK! Glad your trip went well and now you're here...with even more pictures! I had a morning like that in WS, where I swear, I felt like I was the only one there. I took a lot of pictures that morning. They did not come out as good as yours. :lmao: Glad to hear your perspective on Le Cellier. I've been hesitant because it is so hyped up, but I did score a lunch ADR there for our February trip as that cheddar cheese soup is calling my name. Filet mignon, on the other hand, I could live without. I'd probably go with something more along the lines of a strip steak, too. :thumbsup2

YES!!!! I'm finally ALL CAUGHT UP! I have no idea why I was MIA from your TR for so loong~ Please forgive me!

Wow, you guys went to NYCC! I would've loved to go there, since San Diego is just so far away. I had no idea you liked Square Enix games. That's so cool! What's your favourite FF game?

Our AK day was totally rained on too! We also chose to eat at Boma's on our AK day. It just made sense. I didn't take any pictures of my meal there, but I can just direct people to YOUR TR, since the pictures are so nice.

It's so weird about your Disney Visa discount. They should make it consistent across all their Disney stores.

I can't wait to hear about Hawaii!!!!

Mmmm, that cheddar cheese soup just looks so good! And I can't wait to try that pretzel bread. How was his passionfruit dessert?

I absolutely love your WS photos! Some of them have such an ethereal feel to them, very much unlike the harsh quality of the pics I take, haha.

The picture of the appetizer sampler plate at Le Cellier made me rethink our lunch plans in February! I was set on trying the DIS meal: cheese soup, mushroom filet, and chocolate moose. However, considering it's lunch (and I don't eat THAT much meat to begin with), I don't know if I can do that. Plus, it might be a waste for me. That sampler, however, looks awesome because it's a little bit of everything. I love bleu cheese, so even the tomato stack makes me drool! I just have to see if anyone's willing to share it with me! I'd like to have that, split a mushroom filet, and split a chocolate moose, but my fiance hasn't agreed to it yet. He still has to study the menu to figure out what he wants.

Haha, we're still 87 days away, and I'm already overthinking this anticipated meal.

I was set on trying the DIS meal: cheese soup, mushroom filet, and chocolate moose.

It has a name! That's exactly what I plan to order when I eat at Le Cellier, haha.

Your lunch plan sounds good too.

When I told Andrew he needed to choose what he wanted to eat at the places I planned to eat at, he just looked at me like I was crazy :confused3

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I surely ate too much! Trying to do some shopping for online deals on Black Friday, but for some reason I can't find anything that I want. Boo. :confused3 And I refuse to go into stores! Just too much madness for me. Here are some long overdue replies...

:goodvibes Glad you're back & that you had a great trip!!!!:goodvibes

Thank you!!

Happy to have you back and to hear that you had a fun trip :goodvibes

Thanks!!

Glad to have you back and that you had a fun trip! :goodvibes Looking forward to seeing pictures!

Thanks Cat! Am uploading them slowly but will get there soon

WE missed you and your updates! Glad you are back!YOu missed my Tonga Toast day hahahahhah

Thanks! I missed the Dis too! I will definitely have to read about your Tonga Toast day!

Oh no, hopefully you have better luck on your next trip! It's definitely worth the effort!

Yup, that is the Queen of Hearts doll. they were super cute! The look like those Ugly Dolls which are so popular now.

I just explored Morocco for the first time during our trip too, it is SO pretty in there! They have some really beautiful things to buy in the stores too!

Yes, that pretzel bread is to die for. I liked all the breads actually. Pretzel being my fave. can't go wrong with a giant soft pretzel in my book.
Lucky you got to eat there twice! yum!

Oh cool! I will have to attempt the cheese soup one day, although I think it would also depend on the type of cheddar cheese you get right? I hope I am able to get a nice brand that would really mimic the soup well.

Great update & pics of Canada & England. I would love to try that Cheese soup! It makes me hungry to think about it.

Yay for your husband winning a Mickey Sticker!!!!! :rotfl:

Thanks! You have to try that cheese soup one day! I have never had cheese soup that has tasted that good.

Yay for strip steak lovers! I don't know why, but I just never have been a fan of filet. But most everyone else I know are. I love WS in the morning! No crowds, and it feels like you are exploring the world on your own. It's actually really nice that way. Definitely something to think about for future trips. I think you will have a great time at Le Cellier!

YES!!!! I'm finally ALL CAUGHT UP! I have no idea why I was MIA from your TR for so loong~ Please forgive me!

Hey Yuki!! Glad to see you back! My favorite FF game is FF7. I absolutely love it. It will be my all-time favorite FF. I have completed 7,8,9,10, I did not play 11 since it's online, and I played 12 but didn't get into it. I have also played a lot of 13, and I think it is excellent, but I haven't finished yet. Actually got to busy and stopped playing for a while but I am looking forward to getting back into it again. I also love love love Kingdom Hearts 2. KH1 was good but 2 just blew my mind. It doesn't hurt that it has Disney characters too.

Dh's passionfruit dessert was good! It was like an ice cream dome covered with meringue. Kinda like baked alaska, if you know what that is.

I absolutely love your WS photos! Some of them have such an ethereal feel to them, very much unlike the harsh quality of the pics I take, haha.

Hi Rachel! Sorry, I know I owe you an email, I will get to it soon I promise. My inbox is a little overloaded right now. But I will reply soon!

I think the sampler would be a great way to try different things! The tomato stack was delicious. I love blue cheese too and it went so well with the vine-ripened tomato and balsamic glaze. Everything was so yummy, I don't think you can go wrong with it. I would however, like a larger portion of the soup, hehehe.

87 days will come sooner than you think! Whoopee!
