Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

Those Wishes photos are fantastic and you looked very snuggily :rotfl:

Desperate times.....

I can't get over the CM who put the hot pads in her bra. That just SOUNDS like a bad idea. :rotfl2:

I'm not sure of the logic of her decision, but it makes me cringe to think about it.

Heavens, can you imagine what pain that CM must have been in???

Beautiful pictures of Wishes, but I am cold just thinking about how cold you must have been!

I knnow it's hard to think of WDW as cold when you are there in the summer and every part of you is sweating, but it was bitter!!

There are so many ways that the hot pads in the bra is sick and wrong!! :rotfl2: Can't even go there!!:rotfl:

Something about that situation reminds of the saying, "If you can't be a good example, be a terrible warning!"

Not this year. Going to Europe in September and Disneyland Paris and then October I am going to WDW for Columbus Day weekend.

I love WDW in October!

Fantastic photos!!! :worship:

Hot pads in the bra... :scared:

As I look back on the conversation, I wonder, "Was that CM pulling my leg?"

:rotfl2: I'm not sure that you could make up a story like that! You'd be suprised at how stupid people can be. I worked as a welfare caseworker for four years and had an applicant put "human" in the space where it asked for "race". What???? As if another type of race would be filling out an application??:rotfl2:

Great pictures of Wishes! Oh yes, and the one of you wrapped up in the towels is pretty funny. Love it! So how cold was it?

The CM and the hot pads story...oh my...:lmao: :lmao:

IN the 40s, I think. Too cold for me!!!

I'll bet you all thouoght I had fallen off the face of the earth. No, just knee deep in life!!

I am determined to finish this thing!

Day Four Part One

DSCF1532.jpg

It’s time for another chapter!!

Saturday dawned bright, but still very cold. Today was the big Mega Mouse meet over at the Yacht Club Convention center. We decided to take a bus over to DHS and ride the boat over to Yacht club. Once we got to DHS, we still had a lot of time to kill so we decided to walk over and explore the other resorts on the way. It was cold in the shade so we did a fair bit of running to stay in the sunny spots. The Boardwalk was empty except for a few other runners and guests.

The boats were pretty active.

Our first stop was the Boardwalk. We’ve never been inside so we had a little trouble finding our way around. But once inside, I instantly fell in love with it. The lobby was lovely. And I found something that I never thought I would see in Florida.

DSCF0750.jpg

Yes folks, that is an honest to goodness fire! And I’m not crying about it, but I was very happy to see it.

With the beautiful fire and this chair…….

DSCF0751.jpg

I was like, “What MegaMouse meet?” LOL (the chair is even pink....)

The lobby was all decked out for the holidays.

This display was beautiful and even smelled good.

In a side room off the lobby, there was a flatscreen announcing different events and immenties offered at the boardwalk. As I watched, someone’s wedding announcement flashed on the screen for two oclock that afternoon. I turned to the lady beside me and said, “Wow, isn’t that neat? Someone’s wedding is happening today.” She responded, “That is my son!” LOL She went on to tell me how much fun she was having and how excited she was. It was nice to share a bit of her day.
This was above where she was sitting.

I needed a potty break while we were there and was surprised to find there were real towels in the bathroom!! Not paper towels, small real towels and a laundry bin to put them in. The deluxes definitely live differently! I really wanted to take a picture, but there was another lady in there and I didn’t think she would appreciate it.

Outside there was a nice porch with seating.

The resort had such a nice feeling to it. I would love to stay there someday!

Great pictures of the Boardwalk! I would love to stay there someday too. :goodvibes

I also love your pink WDW sweatshirt...I almost bought that same one!

You look so comfy in that chair by the fire, I want to stay there too, it looks such a lovely resort :goodvibes

Yeay, Lynn's back! I have missed you!

Lovely photos of the Boardwalk -- one day we will go explore over there -- I am surprised about the towels in the bathroom -- and that porch looks lovely to just sit and enjoy the view (when it's not too cold).

I was wondering....
I hate when life gets in the way of things that I love. I can't wait to go to Beaches n' Cream this summer so that I can see all of the Boardwalk resorts. The Boardwalk looks so beautiful!!! One day I won't have to buy 5 park hopper tickets and can stay at the Yacht Club!!

Yay an update! The Boardwalk looks so charming!

Isn't it cute?!

I wear it all the time. It is very cozy!

All I needed was a good book and I would have been set for the day. Maybe some Diet Pepsi too....

You missed me! I've been lurking around, just not enough time to post on anything much less here on my own report. I have a Spring Break goal to get this report finished.

The Boardwalk is my new favorite resort. It was so beautiful and next to EPCOT. It's a win-win!

You are gonna love Beaches and Cream! Take some time to walk around the Boardwalk. You love it.

Thanks for reading!!!

Day Four Part Two

Working our way over to the Convention Center, our next stop was the Beach Club. We started to see a lot of yellow lanyards. The Beach Club was decked out for the holidays with a carousel made of gingerbread.

The Beach Club has such a nice feel to it. I even found a hidden Mickey.

I really liked this little nook.
DSCF1544.jpg

Even the little fixtures are beach themed.
DSCF1543-1.jpg

I loved the ornaments on their tree!
DSCF1541-1.jpg

We met this lovely lady in the lobby enjoying the decorations. I loved her hat so much that I asked if I could get her picture. She made it herself. Very festive! She was so sweet and nice to talk to. Of course, I didn’t get her name. Hey there, if you are reading this!

DSCF1545-1.jpg

Another highlight of the trip for me was getting to meet Art, the greeter at the Beach Club. He is one of those people that instantly makes you feel good. He has such a joyful outlook. I wish I could have talked to him all day.

DSCF0806.jpg

But we don’t have all day!! Next stop: Yacht Club!

Are you on spring break this week as well?

The Yacht Club is gorgeous, too! That hat is fantastic!!!

Awww, that photo of you and Art is adorable!

Thanks to all your links in the first post, I was able to read your whole TR while at work today!

I've always wanted to read about a MouseFest trip so thank you for doing so. I'm loving it so far! :goodvibes

love the resort tours and pics:goodvibes
Thanks! I love seeing how the different resorts decorate.

Yes, we are! Jake and Em are down at my mother's until Wednesday, so I've got trip report writing time. And house cleaning time. And yard work time.....

I loved that lady's hat. I'm always drawn to people who aren't afraid to go all out expressing themselves. She was totally sweet and full of Christmas spirit.

You look so happy in the picture with Art!

Beautiful photos as always. :goodvibes

I was very excited to meet him! He was very sweet and humble even though people were lining up just to speak to him. I think he is the kind of CM Walt Dismey hoped for.

OOOHHH the Yacht Club!!
That lady's hat reminds me of Minni Pearl!

:lmao: It sure does!!

Welcome!! I had no idea it might be the last Mousefest. I hope they will bring it back in the future. Stick around! The MegaMouse Meet was a very good time!

Day Four Part Three

We weren’t exactly sure where to go at the Yacht Club to get to the Grand Harbor Ballroom North, so we decided to just look for people to follow. We found plenty. We did stop long enough to get pictures of the decorations. The Yacht Club was kind of understated in their Christmas decorations compared to the other resorts.

There were two matching small trees.

DSCF0789.jpg

And a pretty impressive train display.

DSCF0786.jpg

DSCF0785.jpg

We followed the crowds out past the bus stop over to the convention center. It was pretty impressive, too.

DSCF0808.jpg

There weren’t many people waiting when we got there so as always, I was in search of a bathroom. There were real towels in this bathroom as well and this time there was no one in there but me so I got a picture of how the other half lives!!

DSCF0810.jpg

We had preregistered for Mousefest so we could get in an hour before everyone else.

DSCF1547-1.jpg

As you can see a lot of other people had too. Do you see yourself in there?
