I'll bet you all thouoght I had fallen off the face of the earth. No, just knee deep in life!!
I am determined to finish this thing!
Day Four Part One
Its time for another chapter!!
Saturday dawned bright, but still very cold. Today was the big Mega Mouse meet over at the Yacht Club Convention center. We decided to take a bus over to DHS and ride the boat over to Yacht club. Once we got to DHS, we still had a lot of time to kill so we decided to walk over and explore the other resorts on the way. It was cold in the shade so we did a fair bit of running to stay in the sunny spots. The Boardwalk was empty except for a few other runners and guests.
The boats were pretty active.
Our first stop was the Boardwalk. Weve never been inside so we had a little trouble finding our way around. But once inside, I instantly fell in love with it. The lobby was lovely. And I found something that I never thought I would see in Florida.
Yes folks, that is an honest to goodness fire! And Im not crying about it, but I was very happy to see it.
With the beautiful fire and this chair
.
I was like, What MegaMouse meet? LOL (the chair is even pink....)
The lobby was all decked out for the holidays.
This display was beautiful and even smelled good.
In a side room off the lobby, there was a flatscreen announcing different events and immenties offered at the boardwalk. As I watched, someones wedding announcement flashed on the screen for two oclock that afternoon. I turned to the lady beside me and said, Wow, isnt that neat? Someones wedding is happening today. She responded, That is my son! LOL She went on to tell me how much fun she was having and how excited she was. It was nice to share a bit of her day.
This was above where she was sitting.
I needed a potty break while we were there and was surprised to find there were real towels in the bathroom!! Not paper towels, small real towels and a laundry bin to put them in. The deluxes definitely live differently! I really wanted to take a picture, but there was another lady in there and I didnt think she would appreciate it.
Outside there was a nice porch with seating.
The resort had such a nice feeling to it. I would love to stay there someday!
