We will be first-time HOLIDAY visitors next month and can't wait!:thewave: I am trying to make a PS or two for our final two days and would like the advice of those of you who've been before at this time of year. Which park would you be mostly likely to want to re-visit on your last day/night at WDW during the holidays? This will be our 4th trip to The World in 14 months, so we won't be worried about missing regular attractions - just holiday things/lights/music/tree lightings, etc. :)
We will have done MVMCP on Night 1; Candlelight Processional and IllumiNations on Night 2; Osbourne Lights on Night 3; MK in the morning and resort afternoon on Day 4; Sunrise Safari on the morning of Day 5. Which park will be the most festive for the holidays? At least in your opinion ;)
Thanks a lot!

I personally think that Epcot has the most unique holiday things to enjoy. I see that you're attending CP (which is fantastic, by the way) and Illuminations on your 2nd night, but then there are all the Holiday Storytellers in each country of World Showcase. We enjoyed these so much, and it really takes some time to see them all. The main thing at MGM is Osborne Lights, which you're seeing on your 3rd night, and you're doing MVMCP your first night, which is really the main thing at MK. So, I'd say Epcot will be the one to go back to.

Thank you Kaycee! This is exactly the kind of insider info I was looking for :teeth: I really appreciate it:wave2:

I agree that you really need two days at Epcot to see all the holiday offerings. It's almost impossible to see the tree lighting & do the CP package on the same night. You will probably need the extra day to fit in all the storytellers. For your 2nd night, I would go back to see the Osborne Lights a second time. They're incredible! One visit just can't do them justice, IMHO. Have a great trip! :)

I agree that Epcot is a must see more than one night. The tree lighting is fantastic with the lighted archway playing a big part of the lighting.

Also as has been mentioned the storytelling in each country. Try to catch the different santas around the world also.

As a suggestion, you might also want to take the time to check out other resorts. Each has some wonderful decorations and special holiday touches. The GF gingerbread house is a must see in my mind. I also love the hot cider and carolers at POFQ. There is so much to see and do at the holiday season.

It is gonna be so hard for me this year not being able to just run over to the resorts to get in the holiday mood.

Hi Johnsonet!

Be sure to pick up your "angel" glasses when you enter the Osborne Lights.

We loved the storytellers, in each country at EPCOT. My DGD liked making the masks and dreamcatchers at the kidspots in EPCOT. But that was back when they had a parade in EPCOT; not sure if they still do that.....

You're going to get to MVMCP! You'll see the Christmas Parade all lit up! One of these days.....::MinnieMo

There was an archway in EPCOT that was all lit up when we were there a couple of years ago. And with the countries all lit up, and the tree... WOW. I can't wait!!

Enjoy yourself! I hope to run into you and your daughter one day as we will be there the same time!

Merry CHristmas!!

Do you know if they have the carolers at POFQ the week after Christmas. I've been looking for a reason to go over and get some beignets, but people keep telling me I'll be disappointed in them, if I'm comparing them to the ones at Cafe du Monde. The promise of passable beignets, and carolers, along with the holiday decor, just may be enough to go over there for. :p Also, we've never visited PO. Is it possible to see the Christmas decorations at both resorts, while we're there? TIA :)

Sorry, to derail your thread a bit. I'll try to not let it happen again. :o

Can anyone help me with the Epcot details? Are the Storytellers there throughout the day and night? We would not be getting to Epcot (for the second time this trip) until around 4 or 5pm...Thanks :wave2:

Try this link for times for the different storytellers. I am not sure if this is this year's or last year's times, but someone gave me this link as a general guide for times. Apparantly they don't change much from year to year.

Happy planning.

Sorry, the link doesn't bring you right to the times. Click on Epcot at the top, then onto "Holiday's Around the World" and it will bring you to the times for all the storytellers.

We love Epcot the most during the holiday season. ::MickeyMo
