Ok...I know I'm not going to crazy  but I sware I saw on the Discovery channel about Disney World offering christmas trees to guests. It's a small one, and they decorate it for you and then they will ship it home for you after your stay. Of course this is all at a cost....but who do you contact? I asked the CM when I booked our christmas vacation, but they said they never heard of it. Is this something they still do, or did they stop this? Thanks for your help!

My understanding it's through DISNEYFLORIST and it's about $250 ( last year). They don't advertise it until it gets closer to X-mas.

I think they offer two sizes, a 3 foot & a 6 foot. I believe the 3 foot tree is a bit cheaper, like $125 or $150.

Yes, it is through the Disney Florist. They are very nice and yes, they are shipped home to you after your stay at an additional cost to the guest. Lots of people get them and they also decorate their doors and inside the rooms during Christmas. Just call the Disney Florist and set it up.

Your the best! Thanks for the help! :thumbsup2 I didn't think I was going crazy! For a while, I thought I must of made it up in a dream :lmao:

Does anyone who has done this before have a picture of the decorated tree from the Disney Florist?

Here you go, Christmas. There's also a photo of the stocking. The style may change from year to year. I don't think you'll see it on the Disney Florist website until the fall.

Thanks again guys.....I love the picture of the tree. Very Disney!! :thumbsup2 One more question....does anyone remember how much it is to send home afterwards?

Thanks again! :)

If you want to spend a little less, go to www. laughingplacestore .com (I'm a newbie so can't post real web links, just take out the extra spaces) and look for Disney Light-Up Christmas Tree. It's $57 and very cute, with fiber optic lights, runs on 4 AA batteries. I ordered one and am taking it with me in December.

I figured someone outside the parks is doing the same at a fraction--but can they deliver it to the Disney Resorts? We wont have a car while down there Christmas week?

I bought it on sale @60% off at Canadian tire. Bought little blue and gray shatter proof bulbs at Walmart for $1.96 each. I bought a silver old fashioned looking star to match for just $1.96 Then I found a package of mini Disney ornaments to put on the tree too. They were $3.49 each .

Total cost = tree $9.99
bulbs $1.96 X2
star $1.96
Disney Ornaments$ $3.49 X2

Total cost = $22.85

The Tree fits in my suitcase!!!!!

After last Christmas I hit the dollar general when everything was 50% off. We grabbed a small 3 ft tree, some cheap decorations and all the gift bags I thought I would need (i'm actually 3 bags short)When the kids fall asleep on Christmas eve, we are going to set up the tree, bag the gifts and go to sleep. We have been able to keep them completly convinced that disney is their gift. When the toys r us big book came in a few weeks ago, there was no asking when they looked through it, because they said no real presents, because we're going to disney. i can't believe that I haven't somehow let the secret slip out by now. The big secret is my hubby doing richard petty on christmas eve...I can't wait for that!

Oh yeah.. Disney also offers this tree.. for 140$. It's actually a live 2 foot tree I believe. Again, can be ordered by calling 407-827-3505.

This 24" live boxwood tree includes Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald huggers that are busy decorating the holidays just for you! After the holiday is over, use these 5 huggers for your tree next year…

Imagine the smile of a card message that reads:
"With hugs and wishes this holiday season. See ya in the parks real soon! Love, Your Disney Pals".

I just bought a 3 ft fibre optic tree from Walmart in Canada for 15.99 its a cute little tree. Now just have to get some small decorations for it and a tree topper and put it in the suitcase to go. Has anyone ever had trouble with flying with a christmas tree in their suitcase??? lol

I don't think you can fit a tree in one of the Lockers provided by Owner's Locker, but I do know that a lot of people who come to WDW every year for the holidays store a lot of their decorations rather than hauling/shipping them back and forth and risking things getting broken.

Owner's Locker is a new business and a proud sponsor of The DIS. there's a link to the site at the top of this thread. OL is a hit with DVC members and we're trying to get the word out to other WDW "regulars."
