Christmas Presents - Disneyland Paris OR Wicked?

I've decided to go all out this year for my immediate family. Thing is, I can't settle on one idea. I have two!

EITHER:

Park tickets to Disneyland Paris, 1 day/1 park (we never really rated the second park)
or
High end tickets to see Wicked in London's West End.

They are both pretty much equal in cost. The park tickets can be redeemed any time in the year. Wicked will need prior booking. Problem with Disney is, I can't afford to put everyone up in a hotel for the night and pay for flights/Eurostar too!

Which would you choose? Park tickets or West End show?

Disneyland tickets. Hour for hour, greater value.

If you can't afford the extras, probably Wicked.....but I would agree with Princess and say Disneyland if all was equal.....you can enjoy and experience together and actually talk all day instead of sitting for 2.5 hours and THEN talking of your enjoyment

Can the recipients afford flights and lodging? I’d take Wicked over WDW, but that’s me.

Wicked. It’s awkward to gift something that requires someone to spend a noticeable amount of money to use.

Can you afford a hotel that is not a Disney hotel? My understanding is that there are some reasonable accommodations a short train ride from DLP. Also, how does Eurostar ticket pricing compare to flight pricing? I know Eurostar can be expensive, and there are some cheap airlines over in Europe, so maybe that would help with the budget.

If you don’t think you can cover their travel expenses then I would go with the Wicked tickets, unless you know for sure the recipients can easily pay their own travel costs and would not mind doing so.

Disneyland is so worth it. I’d pick Disneyland. Even if you don’t stay in a Disney hotel, you can always hop over and visit…

My problem is that I can’t foot the trains/flights/hotel/meals/insurance expenditure that comes with Disneyland. They mount up. But Wicked? I can get really good seats and pay for the trains/connections myself.

Honestly, I'm torn.

I'd still rather pay for my own transit to DLP than get tickets to a show that's been running for 23 years on Broadway/19 years on the West End.

Choice…and that’s why we give cash gifts and let the recipient decide.

I would prefer a day in DL Paris, but I also wouldn't give someone a gift that requires a train and hotel to use unless they specifically asked for it.
