Christmas Party 2016

Is there a date that the Christmas party usually starts on?

We are considering the three night cruise on the Dream 11/4-11-6. Would love to follow it up with a quick run to the MK for the Christmas party on the 7th or 8th.

Until this year it was usually the first Friday in November, so there's no way to know. We rented DVC points and planned a 2 night stay around the first Friday in November since that's what it was before, and were really let down when Disney moved it to Sunday. We still went, just did F&W, but I really want to go to that party!

I wonder if the fact that they had it on Sunday instead of Friday had anything to do with the fact that Halloween was on Saturday.

I wonder as well. We plan to get there Dec. 17 and not sure if we will miss the last party.

Halloween is Monday so would the following Sunday be too soon? Maybe Tuesday (so a week and a day after Halloween)? If it was Sunday, it would actually fit our schedule better (we are basically extending our trip until the day after the first party).

We will be there Nov 8-13 and I am tentatively planning on the party on Friday the 11th. I sure hope there is one that day.
