Christmas....How do you decorate your tree?

Same every year and I still love it! White lights, snowflake garland, a ton of santa and snowmen ornaments. Then I put my favorite disney ornaments right front and center!:D Each year I try to add a new ornament. So far not a problem between the ornament exchange and my trips to wdw!!!;) I already have a new snowman my sister gave me...he's one of those smore'men. Adorable!!:D

No theme here, just a collection of ornaments from over the years. Though, last year I used a wide christmas-y colored ribbon rather than garland.

Oh....and we don't put it up and decorate it until after the kids go to sleep on Christmas Eve. They have quite a suprise when they get up on Christmas morning.

since this is only our 2nd Christmas together, we don't have a large variety of ornaments yet. so our tree is done in all purple, silver, and gold...we took glitter glue to about half of the ornaments and personalized them. we drew shapes on them or words that had significant meaning to either of us...like the states that we've lived in together...pet's names, our nicknames for each other (rhett and scarlett), significant dates...stuff like that. it's really kind of neat! but some of the ornaments while on the tree last year lost some of the glitter stuff and need to be touched up before they go back on the tree this year...as we celebrate more Christmases together, our ornaments will change and eventually, when the kids start coming along, we'll have that ecclectic tree!

I have 3 large trees. One is all the family ornaments and a kind of anything goes theme. It has green and gold lights with wooden Rudolph and red ball garland. It also has all the ornaments that the kids have made over the years. I also have a 12-ft. tree in my foyer which is all gold and ivory ornaments with white lights that I really love. The third tree is multicolor lights with blue, red, green, purple, gold and silver glass ornaments. This one also has dozens of red cardinals and red poinsettias on it.

It would be really hard to pick a favorite.

Everyone's trees sound so pretty!

I would love to do a different theme every year, but that would be too time-consuming and expensive.

I do our tree with a Cajun/Louisiana theme for Christmas. We get a white flocked tree. The ornaments consist of oyster shells, rubber crabs and crawfish and shrimp, small wooden boats, any kind of Santa ornament where he's fishing or boating, tiny white shrimping boots, plastic fish, racoons, red peppers, small Tabasco bottles. I use anything I can find that fits the theme of fishing/boating/rustic country looking.

Then on January 6th, I take off that stuff and decorate it with a Mardi Gras/New Orleans theme. I use Mardi Gras beads, crowns, trumpets, jesters, masks-all kinds of stuff as long as it's purple, green and gold. This stays up till Ash Wednesday.

I can't wait to decorate!!!!:D

Wow, it's amazing how many different ideas there are. Mine is eclectic, to say the least. There are a ton of ornaments the girls have made over the years, from clothes pin reindeer to cross stitched one. We have a ton of Hallmark (some Disney). We have given our girls an ornament every year for Christmas, so we have at least 36 different ones. I also have a ton of Disney ones. I was in an ornament club that sent me a Disney ornament every month for a long time. Those are my favorites. I have a few Disney sets I bought from WDW (Mickey through the years, Toy Story, Pooh, etc.). I have multicolored lights and change the garland each year. I want the new Minnie tree topper in the Disney catalogue, but the girls think that's taking my Disneyness a little far. I will probably get it anyway. I love my tree, and we have such a great time putting it up the day after Thanksgiving. Kimmi is terribly allergic to trees, so we have an artificial one. It's good because it lasts all the way to New Year's Day.

No theme here, other than white lights right now along with sheer, wide, wire-edged red ribbon as garland.

This is kind of a sore topic with me, as last christmas our tree fell. We have tile. Now picture me sitting in the middle of broken glass at 3 in the morning bawling my eyes out and we didn't (still don't:( ) have the money to replace them. (many of which were gifts and very meaningful to me) I did do a batch of applesauce gingerbread men as it was cheap, cute and made a lot.

When 11 foot real frasier fur trees fall, they fall HARD :( :( :( :(

I have a real tree with white lights on it, decorated with silver 70's style disco balls! Im not really into tradition that much :teeth:

Not really as a planned theme, but most of my ornaments are teddy bears. I collect T.B.’s of all kinds (not just Xmas), so naturally that’s what most of my decorations are. Since I don’t put up a full-sized tree anymore, I don’t wind up using all of the ornaments.

I would NEVER do a color coordinated or themed tree. That would be totally meaningless.

I have a "meaningless" tree. It's just like Princess Michelle's with a Victorian theme :)

I'm not religious, but I enjoy decorating a tree. I have a ton of seashells that I use, and other beachy things. I also put up ornaments that were given to me by friends or family. Things with sentimental value, like hand blown glass ornaments.

It's my celebration of nature, and the people that are close to me.:D
