Christmas Day at Magic Kingdom - Is TV Parade Live?

Just wondering if the Disney Christmas parade that will be airing on Christmas Day on ABC is shot live. My husband and I will be visiting Disney this Christmas and were wondering if we can see the parade and celebrity performances at the Magic Kingdom that day or if the parade is shot in advance. Thanks for any help.

Nope, they usually shoot it the first weekend of Dec. This year it was Dec 1-2, I think.

I was confused about this too! We were at the Magic Kingdom on December 2nd when the parade/singers were being filmed. I was wanting to see it on TV so I was looking for what time it would be on tomorrow. When I pulled the information on it up on my TV it said "Walt Disney World Parade Live". I can't figure out why it would say live if it was already shot in early December!

Speaking of the parade....how can I get a copy of the broadcast? We were there the day they taped Michael Bolton and Beyonce and we wanted to see if we were in the audience shots (doubt it, I know!) and it would have been fun to watch since we were there that time of year. I set the Tivo and we went to watch it tonight and it didn't Tivo!

I am really bummed! Any ideas?

Thanks for your help everyone. anns5, I don't know much about this youtube thing but i've heard lots about it. Its a site where people post all sorts of video clips to share with others. Maybe if you check out the youtube site there may be some parade footage available to view. Good luck to you and I hope you had a blast at the taping!
