Christmas Day and Housekeeping

When vacationing over Christmas, do you tip extra and/or leave a small gift on Christmas Day for your Housekeeper?

I have never been in a hotel any where on Christmas Day, but if I was I would give a bigger tip. We tip every day.

i have never gone to a hotel on Christmas day If i was there i would give a sligtly bigger tip and a box of chocolates, or a bigger tip and a card.

We are DVC members & were staying at AKV on Xmas Day.

We did not leave a tip, as we don't get daily Mousekeeping & did not have anyone in to clean that day.

I thought this was going to be a poll asking if we keep our house picked up on Christmas Day. My answer would have been no, toys will be found everywhere

We have stayed at the Paradise Pier at Disneyland over Christmas, and we left a tip, and a little card that said Merry Christmas on it. I loved staying thereover Christmas.. We got little Christmas rubber duckys that my kiddos still play with.

we stayed at a local place, tipped extra and gave a little gift (it was under $10). Then again the service was wonderful. We also left a gift for the pet sitter (3 cats, a hamster, a iguana, a few crickets, and three worms. not including the few we fed outside), I dont remember what we gave her but it was a nice ($30 range) gift.

I give the mousekeeper a gift-cash and then tell her that I will tidy up.
It's always appreciated.

I think I will leave a little extra tip and a box of chocolates with a card. This will be our first Christmas Day in a hotel so your thoughts were helpful (Even the comment about not picking-up on Christmas day).
