Christmas Cruising 2005

Copied and Saved Karen, thank you!

:wave: Hi again, Brittany's eating so I'm on the laptop.

I had chunky chicken noodle soup, they're having pizza.

DIS*skjerv*christmas:confused3 huh?

What exactly do you have planned for us on Dec 23rd?

Have you seen my AKL pictures? The place is awesome.

I plan to have breakfast at Boma's around 10am, shopping at DTD and swimming before evening end. Is this a dinner party you're planning?

they are going to be either Fruit of the Loom or BVD tee shirts. Does that help?
Karen, yes, that answers my question! I'll stick with the sizes I told you. Thanks. :)

I'm desperately trying to get an earlier flight out of NY on the 23rd. I originally booked a 5 PM so that Jesse can go to school, and I can go to work that day. We'd get out just in time to get to the airport. When I called Song a while ago to get an earlier flight, they said I wouldn't have to pay a change fee, but I'd be wait-listed even though the earlier flights aren't full. Anyway, we'll see what happens.

Tig, your pictures are AWESOME. Especially the Wishes ones. Beautiful!

Tig,
Did I miss the post where you explained this:
2005_October081.jpg

That is you, isn't it?

grim pirate:

Grim, was that picture of Tig really in her PhotoBucket, or did you finagle her picture?? I'm going back to look at her pictures again!!

OMG Tig, that's really YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You were in Fear Factor! Why didn't you tell us? Were you wearing a harness? What did you have to do? How exciting! Like Mama, like daughter, both superwomen.

Grim at first I thought you put Tig's picture in a Fear Factor background, until I saw it was real.

the Dis(ney)skjervenbonvoyageparty is our pre party at home, don't get your hopes up, unless you plan on coming it's on 12/3/05 around 4pm..of course you are all welcome. (karen you're helping me with food right :rotfl2: )

I'll have to come back later and hear the scoop on fear factor, we're out to dinner now....

BBL (please post and fill me in)

Nan

Hi Everyone! :wave:

Nan- I meant to comment on your dresses the other night! They're both great, although I really love the red one. You're going to look beaUtiful! :goodvibes

Tig- I'm going to check out your WDW photos tonight, and I'm with ya on having to eat at Boma for breakfast. I loves their pork loin with mustard sauce! Sounded kind of weird, at first, to have it for breakfast, but I'm hooked! I just love that hotel.....probably my favorite at WDW.

Oh, and FEAR FACTOR!?! That show just freaks me out! pureed pig liver, crunchy cockroaches....ewww! :earseek:

Karen- do you still have my email? If so, please send me your address and my total tshirt cost, or pm me. I'll stick a check in the mail this week.

Kris- how did conferences go? Mine are this Thursday and Friday, but I get to miss Friday because I'm being pulled out for curriculum writing, yay!

Well I'm going to play around with some new makeup I got for my "redhead" costume.

See ya'll later! :wave2:

::MinnieMo Dede princess:

pork loin (ha wrote lion the first time, kinda an African slip??) with mustard sauce, sounds interesting...but what happened at FEAR FACTOR...do tell or I'll have to start calling you again, and remember I think its okay to call east coast at 9pm, oh yeah thats only from Dland....

Redhead where for art thou redhead...pictures please....

We went to a resturant that had a lady dressed as Minnie Mouse, so I went up and asked her why (of course, being the Dis freak that I am) and it was a fund raiser night for a local high school, for Grad Nite at you guessed it Dland. So of course we took a flyer, (hey it doesn't cost us anything to support their cause) These seem like an effective way to raise funds. We tend to eat out a lot since we are lazy and for some reason it's just easier to work later when you're at home than if you are at an office, so sometimes it just gets to be late and we are all hungry and LAZY oh I said that, so we eat out. Fortunately there are alot of places close by, 5 minute drive we can get any kind of food you can imagin.

Well, kids are in their rooms cleaning up thier floors, for not cleaning them up last night, so the housecleaner couldn't vaccum their rooms, so now I have to be mean mom and get them to clean up and vaccum. The bad part is that when I vaccum I have an astham attack right after it, so not much fun being mean mom since I have to be so close to them while they vaccum. It would have been easier just to pick up their junk myself...being a mom is tough, huh?

I leave now, hoping to come back to Fear Factor updates (again)

Just checking in quick..
Karen--oh, hon, you are loved! But when I fall behind I SKIM big time...and unfortunately I know I miss some good stuff. BUT the print is so cool! I want 2-XL, 1 kis L, 1 kids M, 1 kids S. I think that will do...I dunno if Dan really wants one, but decided he's getting one!
Tig-FEAR FACTOR??!!
WILD!
Grim--still jealous of the car! Miss our Honda Prelude we bought 2 weeks before we found out we were pregnant w/ Marcus! (no back seat for car seat....)
Dede--conferences went well. Glad they are over. But I am about to PUNCH my principal--the one I have whole-heartedly supported for the last 4 years, even when others didn't--every time I turn around there is MORE crap to do.
I JUST WANT TO TEACH! And I am VERY GOOD at it--and all this extra CRAP is taking time away from TEACHING KIDS! How ironic...all these things they come up w/ to be 'accountable' to be sure we are doing our job well (the teaching kids part), actually takes time AWAY from what they want us to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to win the Powerball, I am getting too cynical for this job. (and then I can join all of you at WDW!)
Sorry, tired, getting punchy
Kris
PS Nan, Aisling---HI!

Do you know what this is??? I didn't until last year, when my friend got boo-ed.

7:00pmish minding our own business, cleaning the rooms, remember, door bell rings, Paul can ya get it, no response, oh ya he's in the office, I put the dog away and open the door and low and behold a boo bucket that looked like a ghost full of goodies. (twixs bars, pringles, 2 pez, witch and ghost, bag of dum-dums, a cute picture that reads "Boo", a happy halloween card that read boo, and a note that tells us we've been boo-ed and that we need to boo 2 people within 48 hours. (you have to hang the boo picture in your window or door so that people won't boo you again) So, I'm off to Target tomorrow to get boo supplies :cool1: I'm sure that I could be looking at this as the glass half full, but I love this kind of silly stuff.

btw, Paul vaccumed for the kids...I love that man :love:

Nite nite,

Nan

Nan - you have a fun neighborhood!! Sure I'll cook for you any time!
Tig - Spill - NOW - Fear Factor? I haven't had the opportunity to view your pictures yet - will do with Kayla tonight. She loves your pictures.
Dede - I do still have your address will write soon.
Kris - got it - 5 tees
Aisling - To answer from a few days ago - yes we are getting excited about our NYC & WOD trip!!

Do you know what this is??? I didn't until last year, when my friend got boo-ed.
Nan, I've never heard of this, bit what a really fun and cool thing to do. I agree with Karen, you live in fun neighborhood. I passed this idea to my sister who lives in a suburban neighborhood and would LOVE this idea.

Has anyone else done the pay-it-forward postcard thing?

Yes! I did Fear Factor Live at Universal Studios ::yes::

Rose had heard about the new show and knew we'd have to be cast to be in it. ROSE wanted to be in Fear Factor and out of the 15 who tried 6 made it. Rose did not, I did.

The good thing is, the food stunts gross me out too-Fear Factor Live pulls other people to do the food stunts, those who are in the show only do physical stunts.

The first stunt is to hang from a bar (harnessed) 35 feet in the air and be the last one to drop. The first two who dropped were eliminated, I was one of those two :blush:

I cropped two of the pictures of me hanging and put them at the end of that chapter in the Florida in October photobucket so you can see a little better.

(The links aren't cooperating, you'll have to go there to see these)

The first shot shows me standing on a platform, that platform drops out from under you and you hang there, on a bar that's handles are bent at a 45 degree angle. The second shot Rose actually caught me as I let go.

~~~
ok, now my notes:
Aisling, Good luck with Song and getting those flights changed. I'd worry about not making it at all if you let them put you on a waiting list. How sure are they that you'll not be totally bumped?
Dede, (and Nan-I'm sure) I'll make the ressies if you want. Boma at 10?
Nan, I have thought about paying someone to dust my house. Noone in my family will dust and I am allergic...til then, swiffers will do :confused3
~~~

I've been posting my pics each day, hopefully I'll get the rest of them in today. Wait til you see my new sunset on the lake shots. I am very proud of how well they turned out.

~TTFN~
colleen.

Karen-Tell Kayla all my photos are in from this last trip :)

I guess my weekend project will be to write my trip report to go with the photos.

I was having trouble posting photos here earlier, I hope it was just a glitch. I like to include my photos when telling the story. Makes it more entertaining doncha think?

Grim! I finally went over and perused your photo album! Awesome as usual ::yes::

If and when I get to DL, Halloween would be my preference. Nightmare before Christmas is my all time favorite...they keep that up thru the Christmas season tho don't they?

---quiet today, Nan must actually be working :duck: ---

:laughing:

yes the house cleaning is outrageous and I think about it every week as I write the check, but then I remember I'm working and that is why I have a housecleaner. If you can't enjoy some benefits from working, what's the point.

Hmmmm.. Boma....for Friday? Not sure if we have plans that morning. At this time please add 5 to join you in that ressie from our group. THANKS!!!! Mustard here we come.

you crazy fear factor girl you...

Nan

HA!! or not at my desk, but at Target, MIchaels & another darn craft store, looking for silly girl scout swap crap, oops stuff....I'm home now, but going into a call, yes I'm working what a shock!

back at ya :duck: :tongue:
