Hi everybody!
My name is Shannon and along with my husband, Rick, we have 3 children: DD17, DS14, DD6

We will be cruising on this date as well. We were originally booked on the Halloween cruise of 2010, but school constraints in Texas forced us to bow out and rebook for Christmas.
This will be our 3rd
Disney cruise and SECOND Christmas cruise. We sailed the Christmas cruise of 2008 and loved it!!!
DCL made it so magical and the decorations were fantastic. We also went to WDW for 3 days following the cruise and although the parks were beautiful, we have decided to go to the parks BEFORE the cruise this time. It's too much chaos to battle the parks following a peaceful Christmas cruise.
The Christmas cruise of 2008 had two stops at
Castaway Cay which made it all the more wonderful to be away from home for the holidays. This one only has one stop, unfortunately.

Our last DIS group did an ornament exchange, a secret santa gift exchange, FE gifts, and a dolphin excursion together in Cozumel. This time around, we may opt to participate in only one or two things because it became VERY overwhelming, expensive, and too much time taken away from "family" activities. We decorated the doors with Christmas wreathes, jingle bells in the rooms, and we brought a small Christmas tree with lights that we put in the corner of the desk.
We told our DD5

that Santa left her presents under the tree at home and she was fine with that. We got the kids all Disney gift cards for Christmas morning that they could use on the ship and in the parks.
I hope to taking to you all quite a bit over the next year, and let me tell you...it goes by fast and will be here before we know it!!
Shannon
