Christmas At Wdw?

Im set to arrive at WDW on 12/26/05 but am now thinking about being there on X-mas day. For those of you who have been at WDW on Christmas, do you like it better than being home? I guess Im traditional and wondering if I would regret not being home on Christmas. Opinions please!

Went two years ago with our kids. Loved it! The kids loved waking up at Disney for Christmas. We brought a few gifts with us for them to open. We had a relaxing day and skipped the parks. We had dinner at Chef Mickey's on Christmas day. It was a great trip. We are going again this year. Can't wait! We don't regret being away from snowy Kansas. Christmas memories are made wherever you are at. For us, we hope to make lots of them at Disney. No regrets here.

We haven't been there at Christmas before, but we'll be at the Contemporary December 23-26!! We can't wait to spend Christmas Day at WDW!

We have reservations at Chef Mickey's for brunch and at the California Grill for a late dinner.

I thought we'd avoid the parks on that day, since they will be a madhouse, but we may go to Epcot or MK just for the experience of it!

Our kids are older, and Santa may visit us at WDW or may leave some goodies at home. We'll just have to see what happens.....

To be honest, the parks are a mess on Christmas Day. Plus, the decorations will be there for the rest of your trip. But if you avoided the parks and just hit the resorts or something, it could be great. There really is no prettier time to be a Disney World than the Christmas season. Best wishes!

I would so love to be at DisneyWorld on Christmas Day.. I cant think of a more magical place to be..

I may try and arrive earlier and be there X-mas day. My kids are 5 and 7 and still believe in Santa Clause. How would you handle that? They will wonder why santa didnt deliver all there presents to WDW. I sure dont want to bring them along!

Santa still visits our house, but he only brings 3 presents each, and they are likely to be small in size, if not in price! I am planning on sending a box to myself, with a few Christmas decorations, etc. in it.

If the presents are going to be big, I would explain to my kids that Santa will leave them at our house (and maybe bring one or two small ones to WDW) as a way to make going home more fun - which may be a challenge when leaving Disney World. Also, how to get them home if you are flying?

Although Christmas-time at WDW is magical - Christmas Day is one of the (if not THE) busiest days of the year!

Having been in an MK crush on Christmas Day 1999, we skipped all theme parks in 2004 as the parades/decorations are still there afterwards for a while.

Santa left some small gifts and a letter telling DD about some of the things he left at home for her - she was delighted!

Depends on the person. I'm one of those people who wants to be home for christmas day. We always went on dec 27 and stayed through New Years Day. This way we have christmas at home and also at disney. The holiday decorations are breathless. Is the best most magical time to visit the world. Even though christmas is really over I still felt totally in the holiday spirit.

We've been at WDW twice for Christmas and both times it was an incredible experience. Santa came and left gifts at our RV. We spent Christmas EVe with the characters at Trails End. The decorations were beautiful and everyone was in the spirit of the holidays!
