Christmas at DL question

Do the fireworks go on during weekdays in December or just the weekends?

Anyone know the what the hours normally are in December?

And yes...we're already planning another one before we even leave for our March trip

Assuming this year is anything like the past years (which it probably will be) fireworks are nightly for at least the second half of dec and the main park is open from 8-12.

That's kinda what I was afraid of. We're looking at the first part of December though. We're already missing out on the fireworks in a few weeks.

Hum, early Dec is a time I tend to go myself (smaller crowds and better rates) but as a local I don't think about the shows too much... if they don't happen I just come back another day.

I searched a few websites after my first post and they seemed pretty positive about the fireworks although they indicate more limited hours during the week days which sounds familiar. I do know the offer a few cast member and special events in Dec. so that would account for some early nights but why don't you call the park and ask, I'm sure one of the affiliated hotels would be glad to tell you what they know in hopes of getting some business.

We saw the fireworks on a monday this past december but I can't remember exactly when we went since it was just a day trip and not a vacation. It couldn't have been too close to Christmas though because we are blocked out the week of Christmas. I think the park was open until 9 that night.

Nellie, they begin showing the Holiday fireworks nightly the Friday prior to Thanksgiving. They are shown nightly (weather permitting) through the end of peak Christmas season (sometime around the first weekend of Jan.).

We saw the fireworks on Mon, Tues & Wed (12/8-10) and the Mon & Tues were the nights of the CM parties! Hey no worries about planning already, we leave on 3/2 and a day or so ago I made 2 reservations @ HoJo's ~ one for mid Oct and then 11/29-12/17! We'll only make 1 trip and if it's not Oct. it won't be that whole block ~ we'll go for 4 days max I just don't know which 4 days but I wanted to book @ the ent rate, I'll just cancel what nights we don't need/want when I know of our dates.

The CP is the Candlelight Processional. Makes for a very busy weekend at DLR. Best to avoid Main Street during the two performances if you aren't planning on watching it.

I would've certainly preferred to avoid the CM parties but we flew, we wanted to go either the 1st or 2nd week of Dec, the 1st week airfare was quite a bit more (I assume because it was the week after Thanksgiving so since people would be flying home they charged more).

When I was there they went to two week days I was there, and then the saturday they got canceled due to wind.
