Christmas all year long!

The weeks are going quickly when you look at it like that! I was just talking to Damien's teacher about Halloween as though it was months away and she said "Heather Halloween is Monday!" I was shocked! I mean I know what day it is it's just WOW!
Oy I hope that was the last change for your Dh and Alex!

jealous!!!!!

I agree with Ann~ you will be missed!

Wow six more weeks until your trip! How exciting! Bummer on all the flight changes though. I hear so many people having that issue but I never have. Weird. Hope things come together really well for you now. It will be here before you know it! :goodvibes

Ann, I saw that Kira booked her dates and our dates mesh. There are two nights that we will be at the same park and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for her. :)

Cool! I am very excited for her...but sheesh...I really wish she could have gone during our dates. AND now I will be jealous cause she may run into you.

I know... I can't believe next monday is Halloween (and Alex's birthday) He just informed me of it in fact. I can't believe he will be 16!

And as for the flight... I am not sure why they were trying to change his itinerary. It seems odd. It isn't like it was the original one... Since all of Saturdays' flights out of Dullas to MCO are full, I wonder if they are trying to free up some space..

I have never had so many changes. Of course, this is the first time we are flying on the airlines we are booked with...and it is a time of year that we have never traveled...but :confused3

haha changes happen...as you've seen on my PTR. It's certainly keeps you on your toes! Hopefully after all the changes your vacation will go off w/o a hitch!

Wow! Only 6 more weeks ............ time DOES fly.

And more flight changes  but I so hear you on the connecting time issue. I just changed my February flight too because I think we won't have enough time to get from one plane to another. Yes, if the gates were close your guys would be able to make, but you never know with the airlines.

Your workload scares me! :scared1: You are so organized, I really look up to you, nothing like that here! :lmao:

I am sure there will be snags somewhere...but come what may I WILL enjoy the vacation.:goodvibes

Well, not quite 6weeks. Friday will be 6.

If they guys landed at 9:15pm and didn't get off the plane until even 9:30pm (it always seems to take forever to get off the plane so maybe I am over estimating? underestimating?) Anyway...If it was 9:30 when they got off and then crossed over to whatever gate there was I can almost bet that the plan would be boarding when or even possibly before they reached the gate since departure was set for 10pm. It just wasn't worth the risk to me.

And me..organized..:rotfl2: You should see my house and the chaos that surrounds me. Then you would see I am not nearly organized enough. Then again, maybe it is just the slobs that I live with and not my lack of organization that makes it look this way.. ;)

I can so relate! But I think I am the Queen of Clutter, which adds to their disorganization. My clutter is organized though.

Definitely the best attitude to have on a Disney vacation! Especially around the holidays. You'll definitely have fun no matter what! I mean, how can you not when you're in the happiest place on earth!? :cloud9::santa:

Oh happy early birthday to Alex!!!! Is he at that age that he doesn't celebrate? I find my 16 (going on 17 on Saturday) brother in law doesn't want anything but his girlfriend and 1-2 friends for pizza and video games!

He is at that age. I think boys get there much sooner that girls (if girls ever do) So yes, no big production for his birthday. he wants a couple things..but party wise,

Saturday, December 17 -Day 9

I really hate this part in a trip. You know, when you hit the point where you are closer to the end of the trip than the start? Still we have a lot of fun left to have and by God we are GOING to have some fun.

We will start this day off at our resort and will have a quick bite to eat at Roaring Fork. I assume by this day we might be starting to be a bit full so while Steve and Alex each use a full dp cs credit, Zoe and I will just share one.

We won't want to rush, but we also will want to get going since we have places to be.

The day will be day number 2 for
DSCN2526.jpg

The park opens at 9am and we will need to be there so that right away we can go get fast passes for

DSC07000.jpg

Now, this ride will be for only Zoe and Alex. The old people in the group get a bit sick when we ride these things. :rotfl:

Next three of us will go on another ride.
CIMG0085.jpg

Steve will not be riding as anything that goes in a circle in any way shape or form makes him violently ill.

The next ride we rarely if ever go on it. There is usually a horrendous line and even when using ridemax it has always given us a 30 or so minute wait. Zoe seems to really like this ride and was very excited to go on it last September. So imagine my excitement to see ridemax gave me a wait til of only 8 minutes. :woohoo: for

100_5312.jpg

Next up is something that in previous to the 9/2010 trip we did not go on in WDW. Why? Well, we thought it was different. In DL, it is more like Innoventions. Well, the floor rotates you see a show with a robot (can't remember his name) and then when the floor stops you are released to "play" in Innoventions. It was always a challenge to keep the older three kids (who were all obviously younger then) together when they all wanted to run in different directions. Oh, and did I mention the building had multiple floors? Yeah, so imagine that we pretty much swore off that ride of thinking it would be another stressful attraction for us. Well, imagine how surprised I was when I went on it in 9/2010.

P4070017.jpg

Next we will be getting some fast passes so we can try and save a galaxy...or something
201_4336.jpg

I look forward to our next ride. I just don't know when I got so old that this is something I get excited about rather than a big rollercoaster.

P1000731.jpg

Now here is another tricky moment for me. Alex and Zoe will want to ride SM. We will have acquired a couple fast passes for them. Yet, I feel a bit :scared1: at the thought of sending the two of them off to go on this ride. I did just mention I am getting old, right? Hmm.. maybe it is due to that? In any case, if I am brave and allow my two to go off on this ride, Steve and I will go and pick up some snacks. I am not 100% sure what everyone will want. If it is warm outside at all I might want a smoothie, while Alex is sure to want a pretzel. We wont go far and when they get off the ride we will have their snacks ready for them. (again...assuming I can handle letting them go)

After we chug or gobble down our snacks, we will be going to see
IMG_0586.jpg

On our spring 2010 trip, Zoe was picked as "Boo" It was fun to have her be on the screen. What wasn't fun was that I too was on the screen since she was on my lap

After the show we will get to use our fast passes on Buzz Lightyear.

Then we are going to leave the park and head over to the GF. Our plan while there is to see the decorations like

and
395d.jpg

We also intend to try a new-to-us cs restaurant.
GasparillaGrillGames.jpg

I never hear anything about this place, but the menu looked quite interesting and since we wanted to tour GF it looked like a good place to use a cs credit.

After we are done with our lunch, we will head over and grab some fast passes for one of my only "thrill" rides that I do like. I know... hold on to your seats cause this is a scary one. :rotfl:
DISNEY2008375.jpg

Now here is where I had to do some tinkering with ridemax. If I added in spash mountain, it had us going between frontierland and tommorowland all day. Yet leaving it out gives us this nice break. Also, not knowing if it would be warm enough for Splash Mountain, I didn't know if I wanted to force it into the plan.

So at this point we have free time about 2 hours. I figure even if the line is long (and I mean really long) we would still have time to go on this should the weather permit.
Course, this is a ride that drops so no go for me...well, sometimes I can go. It kinda depends on how brave I am that day.

If weather is not good then we may just head back to the hotel. Given what is planned for the rest of the day though, I am not sure this is our best option.

No matter what we do, our next attraction will be

scan0038.jpg

The itinerary gives us 45 minutes to play, but I know the guys won't be all that into it...and Steve hates the underground tunnels (he get a migraine when we go down there )

Next up will be
IMG_0338.jpg

I can't wait to see this without a sleeping 5 year old draped over me. She was SO heavy last trip and I had to carry her since the stroller had to remain outside.

Finally we will use our fast passes for my favorite thrill ride before yet again leaving the park and hoping over to a near by resort.

Where are we eating this evening?

I think this is a picture of it. Again, this is a new-to-us restaurant...
IMG_1389.jpg

Dinner is rather early (6pm) yet despite this we have no further plans for the day. The park is open until 10pm, but we will most likely go back to the hotel. Well, everyone but Alex. I am sure he will want to venture out on his own this evening. So now you can see why I am not anxious to just head back to the resort in the mid afternoon.

This day we will use 4 snack credits (leaving 20), 7 quick service credits (leaving 17) and 4 table service credits (leaving 20)

Ridemax gives us a total wait time of 81 minutes with 57 minutes of walking between rides for the day.

Sounds great! I love the GF at Christmas! Often there are carollers in the lobby. Be sure to check outside, usually 1st floor entrance, for hot apple cider and chestnuts roasting on an open fire!! The cider is amazing and complimentary! Their tree is breath taking. A great place for a photo opportunity is the stair case. Sometimes there is a photopass person there for someone's photoshoot. If they aren't taking pics at the moment, they will often be willing to take a pic at random even if you didn't hire a photoshoot.

I completely know what you mean about the 'past middle of the trip day'. I try not to think about it, but everyday of a WDW trip starts with me counting how many days we have left. So sad that we ever have to leave!

This sounds like a very fun MK day!
We really enjoyed the Wave, though that was the place where they never bussed our table, and we ended up with a teeny spot to eat dessert. But we actually found that kinda funny :rotfl:

Day 9 plans sound terrific. I am so happy that BTMR is open while you are there (I can't believe is is closing down for almost five months in January...Kira and I will both miss it).

When we were there last month, the cars were a mere 10 minute wait...I couldn't believe it.

:rotfl2:I have used the phrase "organized clutter" many times:lmao:! I think that a lot of people would call their house that!

Also.... I guess it is that age:confused3

I really like the MK plans! And I want some gingerbread too! I really like ginger cookies, but am the only one in the family!

Great MK plan...I arranged today for our car service to pick us up a little earlier from RPR when we make our transfer to BWV...I am hoping to squeeze in a stop at the GF and check out my favorite cookie giant size and buy me a couple of roof shingles before we head to breakfast at Chef Mickey's around 10:30 am.

I know how you feel about leaving the kids to venture on a ride by themselves. In my AK plan, I have me running to get FP at EE...Jeff taking Jo to Tricertops and Ab and Goo to Primeval Whirl (if it is working).

Those are awesome tips! I had no idea about the cider or pp person. Chestnuts I can probably live without, but I am such a HUGE fan of cider. :goodvibes

It is sad that we ever have to leave. Oh well, I guess it just gives us something to look forward to again. (assuming there is always a trip in the future.;))

This sounds like a very fun MK day!

 hopefully we will have a bit better luck with our server. The food does look very yummy though.

I know, Kira almost didn't want to plan her trip during that time because of it. You helped, btw to sway her opinion. A mother's opinion doesn't count as much. ;)
When we were there last month, the cars were a mere 10 minute wait...I couldn't believe it.

I wonder if fewer people are planning to go on it?? And this is causing the wait time to be down.

I don't think I've ever seen a 10 minute wait on the cars!!

It sounds like GF is a place to see around the holidays. I knew it was...I just didn't know HOW MUCH it was. After the tips from lovethattink, I am even more excited to go there!

I know how you feel about leaving the kids to venture on a ride by themselves. In my AK plan, I have me running to get FP at EE...Jeff taking Jo to Tricertops and Ab and Goo to Primeval Whirl (if it is working).

Yeah, I don't know why I am feeling so odd... I have let Kira take Zoe numerous times. I have even had her take her to the parks without me. Course, Kira is a girl and 5 years older than Alex.... maybe that is why. Kira has always been the kid I relied on cause she was the oldest and Alex is my baby..or was THE baby for 10 years before Zoe came along. I guess in a way it feels like I am sending both my babies off on their own.
