Forgive me if I have already mentioned this... I cant remember.

Things are going much better with Zoe. She has learned to do the cathing herself. (I supervise) and I think giving her that control has done away with all the anxiety. So this is kinda new to us though. We have to take potty breaks for her. (before she just was in pullups... so no need )

Her infection that she got could have been the cause of some of the fussiness too since as she is nearing the end of this round of antibiotics she is more like herself.

The district school nurse called me to see how things are going. She was actually, in some ways, more helpful than the nurse up at Children's. I learned that she has staffed a nurse full time at Zoe's school and the district is sending this nurse to get special training on how to care for Zoe's mitroffinoff. Also, if things go sour again.. I learned that Zoe qualifies for in home care...so that is awesome. I have had 3 kids go through this district and even though Kira graduated in the to 10 of her class and top 10% of the state... I never felt this district has supported my kids well...and has actually failed them on numerous occasions. It is nice to see that with Zoe that may not actually be the case.

As for Steve situation... his boss quit. Dust is settling from the "no work from home" fiasco. It is looking like a possibility that they will not doc him a weeks pay. Even crazier still... since his boss quit he may actually get a promotion. Funny how things can seriously change in a matter of days. Course, nothing of that is set in stone and it is still as possible that things will get worse not better and he will be looking for another job. See.. apparently there are 2 "camps" and the one that Steve's boss was in..if that team wins the current political battle going on.. all will be well and Steve will get the promotion...not loose pay.. get a better benies package.. If they don't.. then he will lose pay and things will be more difficult. Kinda one end of the spectrum or the other.

On my never ending where to stay at WDW debate... it has to be tabled. Why? Because of the uncertainty of Steve's job? No. Because of the uncertainty of his vacation time? No. How about because we don't know if or when Kira, Zach and Josh could go? No again. How about because a good chunk of the resorts (for our dates) are full with the fd promo! I can't even switch to WL under fd. I am sure that as things settle down from people switch around and around due to the release of fd things will open up again... but does this mean the resorts are going to be pretty full??? I could still get (as of last night) POR (not POFQ) I could get OKW for a little less than our current reservation. But that was about it. I don't even think any of the other mods were available. I didn't check the values... and there were rooms at the 3 big deluxe resorts. Crazy, eh????

Well, I should tackle that laundry I didn't do yesterday...

Sorry that the situation with Steve is still up in the air, but we will keeping our fingers crossed that it all works out for the best.

I would hold off on any decisions regarding your resort until all the hubub dies down for free dining. And you could wait until we get back and i post pictures of OKW!

I am sure that as things settle down from people switch around and around due to the release of fd things will open up again... but does this mean the resorts are going to be pretty full??? I could still get (as of last night) POR (not POFQ) I could get OKW for a little less than our current reservation. But that was about it. I don't even think any of the other mods were available. I didn't check the values... and there were rooms at the 3 big deluxe resorts. Crazy, eh????

I think there are a few reasons behind this, and its the reason we changed our resort that crazy morning with a 2hr and 28 min hold time... we were able to upgrade to a moderate, have FD, two rooms and still pay less than the both packages at a value resort. with the FD promo and only QS at a value, i bet alot of people upgraded to mods and thus filled the resorts up???

Im very sorry about all the job questions and uncertainties. we just went through this with both of our jobs this past month, thankfully things worked out for the better. crossing my fingers all stays well for you all

Not planning a switch at this point. I was driving myself nuts trying to figure out what to do when I thought Steve was not going to be able to come. Given that there is all this hubub.. I don't have a choice but to relax about it.. and that is a good thing.

I figured as much too. I know the moderates become a very very good deal when fd is offered. Basically I could get two rooms and add three people for the cost of what my 40% off pin at WL is costing. FD saves me basically nothing at the deluxe level

I was quite pleasantly surprised by it to be honest. It helped me a ton though. I just didn't know what we were going to do with Zoe and school.

That area of Downtown can be a lot of fun. Crab Pot is great. I assume that is where you are talking. Did they throw all the food on the table? When you went there did you go to the curiosity shop? The real mummies that they have on display seriously freaked Zoe out last time we went in there.

Yep...the crab pot! I loved all the stuff just thrown on the table. The salmon was to die for! I have not eaten salmon since then...if it ain't fresh I don't want it anymore!

Funny how all things work themselves out in the end...Steve's job...hoping it continues to look better! As for the WDW...I know it will all work out in the end...but YOU and I are both tired of stressing about it...but then again that would take all the fun out of planning!

Well, Ann...I'm glad to hear that things are looking up, especially with Zoe. And its true...wait a while and things will change, hopefully for the better.

Ah...the saga of the resort changing. The FD promo is pretty incredible. I can't believe they're extending it well into 2012. In fact, if I had wanted, we could have even gotten it for a trip in February. Unfortunately, at this point, I don't think FD would save us all that much.

Agreed, what would be the fun in that? Seriously though, I do need something trip related to obsess on. My newest is a kinda a secret since it has to do with the game and prizes. Needless to say I have had a bit of fun..and a bit of frustration in what I have been working on.

Last night we watched The Princes and the Frog. I made red beans and rice with andouille (sp?) sausage and beingets. Steve had said that he had never sat to watch the movie in its entirety before. I thought I had... but I somehow had missed the entire "gonna be human again" song.

Just 17 more to go.

I have yet to see that movie. We have no plans next weekend, so maybe we can rent that and Raphunzel which we still ahve not seen.

Yep its andouillie sausage and sooo good, a meal my grandma made every monday, put it on to cook while you did the laundry. I love this movie, its so very good!!

I like both movies. Personally, I prefer The Princess and the Frog. I think it ranks up there near the top of my all time favorite Disney movies. Ruphunzel is good too.. but I just really enjoy the animation in Princess and the Frog.

Sounds like a fun evening! I really like that movie, at least the parts of it I've seen. The animation was beautiful and I love the music.

Oh, and for the game pic...that's Zoe, in the Living Seas, specifically (I think) waiting to go into Turtle Talk, she's at the displays just outside the the theater doors.
