Christmas all year long!

so it indeed is a shade that I probably shouldnt be wearing to work. If the light hits.. it is purple. However, it is pretty dark and if I keep to the shadows, it will just look black. I will take a pic outside for y'all though.

For now I have to run to the store and see if the pharmacy was able to get a cath in for Zoe that might work. The order I placed on monday from a supply co. was back ordered and won't be here till next wed. Since we are almost out... have to get something. Crossing my fingers that the pharmacy was able to get something... cause if not I am going to be driving up to Children's. Hospital.

Fingers crossed the pharmacy has it and you don't have to drive all the way to the hospital.

hmmmm Ann, I'm not sure your ALLOWED to cancel anymore! :rotfl::rotfl::lmao:

We ( and by that I mean mostly ME!) really want to see you actually get there after all the stressing and planning and stressing and changing and stressing and booking and did I mention stressing! :lmao::lmao:

I know it is not up to me, but I would hate to see you cancel and miss out on the fun and magic. In some ways it is coming up very quickly but in others.... it's a lot of time for hubby to start feeling better, Zoe to get back to her normal happy self and time for you to sleep and find a routine again BEFORE you go.

Just my 2 cents!

I agree...I am gonna hang around too...makes me stressing a lot more bearable! I KNOW things are going to get better because after the summer you have had you need some serious :wizard:!

Sorry it took all day. Traffic was horrific. It took an hour to get up to Steve's office.. another hour to the hospital from there. Then back to his office (another hour) and then he was not ready to leave so decided to head to Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle..only a few blocks, but another half hour to drive (we should have parked and walked) Just as we got there he was ready. Anyway..more drive time to get him... then back to where we wanted to eat. I was in the car all day it seemed. We did have an amazing meal (very spendy though) and we got the boxes of caths from the hospital.

And now.. without further ado... my hair

Over all..not bad... except on top. (where I thought the worst gray was so I would apply some there first and thus had it on much longer)

IMG_0174.jpg

And a close up of the top of my head... just to show the color. I have not grown my hair out in so long I think I may have to cut it since it seems a bit damaged.

IMG_0178.jpg

Ann, that is too funny. I think you should definitely post a picture....or it didn't happen. :lmao:

I posted. I keep thinking it isn't too bad... and then I look at the very top. Oh my. Well, maybe the fact I have lost so much darn hair on top over the last couple of years makes it worse. :confused3

AND for my shot at a point.... Ann and Kira are both 'smirking' at the photographer/camera! :goodvibes

Oh and Zach had much longer hair in this pic!!!

Ladies...it's Friday - my last day in this particular decade of my life and I'm in a mood.... :rotfl:

Bring on the 40's!! :banana::banana::banana:

1pt for noting that Zach had longer hair. Course.. a more correct detail would be that he HAD hair. He and I are going bald. I swear!!!! :lmao:

Happy early birthday!!! (although not by much since it is almost midnight here)I know it is weird turning 40. 30 didn't bother me... after all, I was FINALLY an adult. But 40 is no longer a kid. I don't know.. not that 30 is.. but  Hang in there. at least you look young and beautiful still. Not like you are balding and gray and attempted to color your hair and got PURPLE. :rotfl: Kira and Josh kept telling me today that I looked like an old woman trying to go emo. :sad2:

Can't wait to see it!!! :rotfl:

:rotfl: Yeah.. I posted it. Maybe if I just wear a hat for a while?

:rotfl: I want pictures!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I once dyed my hair green! And not a nice vibrant green, oh no, it was more like the shade of puke .... :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl: I think that the problem with hair coloring is that for blonds.. you have to watch so that you don't' go green and for brunettes that you don't go purple.

:crazy2:Usually when I color my hair, I now have so many greys I color it every two months. I just did it and I can already see the grey. :headache: Most dark colors of dye lol some maroon/purple color as it develops. Although I've never seen purple crayon color!

Well, let me take that back..... in college I bleached my hair :crazy2: and then decided to color it purple, that dye was purple crayon colored. But no one noticed unless the sun hit it or I washed my hair (because it would smell like grape bubblegum)

It is mainly when the sun hit... I am hoping tomorrow when I wash it again it will lessen.

I agree...I am gonna hang around too...makes me stressing a lot more bearable! I KNOW things are going to get better because after the summer you have had you need some serious :wizard:!

Thank you so much. I know that things are starting to get better. MUCH better so I am feeling more like my positive self. Even with today's traffic it was an awesome day.. we had a great meal together and got the caths that Zoe needed. No complaints!

Was it a box with a red highlight to it? Like instead of light dark brown they have chestnut dark brown, which is a reddish brown, that could be the problem. I don't really think its that bad. I've learned to stick to the neutral versions of the color. Like Dark brown or Black, don't try for the lighter or redder of the color cause it just doesn't work with me. Maybe that would help? :confused3

On an off note, you couldn't have been that far from my friend b in Seattle since she lives and works there for now. She's hoping to get transferred to San Jose, and STILL has not booked her flight for our October trip. :headache:

Stay tuned to see what happens with that!popcorn::

I so love Pike's Market...jealous. There were two places down from there that I loved eating at the Boiling Pot and I can't remember the name of the other place...at the end of one of the piers...I hade the best whole snow crab!

Hair does not look that bad...I was expecting to see Barney!:lmao: I so need to cover up my greys and lighten this dirty dark blonde mess but I am chicken and once you start you have to maintain. I am so not good at th maintain part!

Hi Ann,

Found my way over here from Angela's pre-trip (from the FaceBook group). Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Ya know.. I have found that to be the case with boxes too. Anything with a red tone can go horribly bad...and I am not sure why I had this one. Oh well... I will wash it and it will tone down over the next week, so I will just live with it. Besides... I need a wig cause of how bald I am... maybe this will push me to get one just that much sooner.

As for your friend.. does she not like Seattle then? I totally forgot about this being seafair weekend... I can't believe I drove up there like I did. :sad2:

That area of Downtown can be a lot of fun. Crab Pot is great. I assume that is where you are talking. Did they throw all the food on the table? When you went there did you go to the curiosity shop? The real mummies that they have on display seriously freaked Zoe out last time we went in there.

Hi Ann,

Found my way over here from Angela's pre-trip (from the FaceBook group). Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Fred

:welcome: Hi there, Fred. Glad you found your way here. Yep, I was crazy and started this back in January so there has been lots of banter... (mainly me rambling;))

I don't think it is bad at all, Ann.

Sorry for all the time in the car -- that is never fun (unless on way to vacation). But glad you got a good meal out of it. :)

Thanks, Kathy. :goodvibes

Living where I do... I spend way too much time in the car if I want to get anywhere. Just to go to a Target or Walmart or a mall is going to take me at least 30 or 40 minutes.

The meal was awesome. It reminds me of Ohana in that they bring you meat on a stick that they cut off and serve to you. Only at this place, there are too many kinds to mention. Everything from bacon wrapped turkey to shrimp. Oh.. and the best thing ever to be cooked on a (is it called?) spiket over a fire?? Pinapple dusted with cinnamon. Yum. It also reminds me of Tusker with the rice dishes and the seasoned fruit or vegetable salads. It is all you can eat.. and at the price pp you want to stay for HOURS. :rotfl: And we did. I wanted to get more pics, but... here are a couple.

IMG_0186.jpg
I wish that I had not used the flash, but I am not sure that the crowd of people in this restaurant were the types to take pictures of food. :rolleyes1

IMG_0187.jpg
Josh was thrilled to go here. He is a total carnivore so he stuck to mainly the meat last night. The various salads were not his thing

IMG_0180.jpg
I surprised Kira with this pic. Can you tell???:rotfl:

IMG_0184.jpg
Just to make sure to get a shot of everyone... here is Steve and Zoe. (yes, sadly Alex was not with us... he never likes to go anywhere with us. :sad2:)

After dinner, we walked back to our car and passed by a chocolate shop. We saw so many yummy looking things. However between being full and dropping $50pp on dinner.... we chose not to spend the $24 per pound on these... as cute and yummy as they looked.

Cant wait to see the pics of your hair and i really hope they have the cath for her, it wouls stink to have to go all the way to the hospital

Yeah it's sad that the hospital is not really doing what they should be with physical therapy and telling you important things you should know! I hope that everything with Steve works out for you guys! I am so sorry that so much is going on with you in a bad way..... you are really strong I wouldn't have been able to deal with 1/2 of what you go through! I don't get here in time to play the game! And I don't know anywhere other then when I see other pictures! Welll I like the hair when it's all together, when it's close up it does look a little...... purple like you said! mmmm..... that food looks so good! I would have spent hours at that place just to try everything!

I posted some... not too horrible. Still... I think the worst part of the pictures are the wrinkles and thinning hair. :rotfl2:

Sadly, we did have to drive up. However, it was not so bad. I had good company and we ended the day with a nice dinner.

Just look below you post and there is the game pic of the day. :goodvibes

We spent so much time at that restaurant. And.. just as we were leaving, they put different things out. I had wanted the parmesan pork too..and they didnt bring that around until I had ditched my plate. :headache:

Things are starting to work out. I tend to panic and get upset and then work through it... so not sure how strong I am... just deal with what I can when I can. :goodvibes

game pic, magic kingdom, on buzz lightyear, you and zoe.. finally think i got one!!

And the hair isnt bad at all, i was expecting crayon purple...

Forgive me if I have already mentioned this... I cant remember. :rotfl2:

Things are going much better with Zoe. She has learned to do the cathing herself. (I supervise) and I think giving her that control has done away with all the anxiety. So this is kinda new to us though. We have to take potty breaks for her. (before she just was in pullups... so no need :rolleyes1)

Her infection that she got could have been the cause of some of the fussiness too since as she is nearing the end of this round of antibiotics she is more like herself.

The district school nurse called me to see how things are going. She was actually, in some ways, more helpful than the nurse up at Children's. I learned that she has staffed a nurse full time at Zoe's school and the district is sending this nurse to get special training on how to care for Zoe's mitroffinoff. :woohoo: Also, if things go sour again.. I learned that Zoe qualifies for in home care...so that is awesome. I have had 3 kids go through this district and even though Kira graduated in the to 10 of her class and top 10% of the state... I never felt this district has supported my kids well...and has actually failed them on numerous occasions. It is nice to see that with Zoe that may not actually be the case.

As for Steve situation... his boss quit. Dust is settling from the "no work from home" fiasco. It is looking like a possibility that they will not doc him a weeks pay. Even crazier still... since his boss quit he may actually get a promotion. Funny how things can seriously change in a matter of days. Course, nothing of that is set in stone and it is still as possible that things will get worse not better and he will be looking for another job. See.. apparently there are 2 "camps" and the one that Steve's boss was in..if that team wins the current political battle going on.. all will be well and Steve will get the promotion...not loose pay.. get a better benies package.. If they don't.. then he will lose pay and things will be more difficult. Kinda one end of the spectrum or the other.

On my never ending where to stay at WDW debate... it has to be tabled. Why? Because of the uncertainty of Steve's job? No. Because of the uncertainty of his vacation time? No. How about because we don't know if or when Kira, Zach and Josh could go? No again. How about because a good chunk of the resorts (for our dates) are full with the fd promo! I can't even switch to WL under fd. I am sure that as things settle down from people switch around and around due to the release of fd things will open up again... but  does this mean the resorts are going to be pretty full??? I could still get (as of last night) POR (not POFQ) I could get OKW for a little less than our current reservation. But that was about it. I don't even think any of the other mods were available. I didn't check the values... and there were rooms at the 3 big deluxe resorts. Crazy, eh????

Well, I should tackle that laundry I didn't do yesterday...

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! :goodvibes
