Aww, how cute! Jilly, I wish we lived near each other.. I want to see the movie, but am a bit nervous... I get so emotional when I think of what HE did for me. To actually see a portrayal would be so hard. Anyone see it yet?

So, is everyone accounted for? Thanks for letting the others know, cause we sure don't want anyone out there wondering where we are. What a neat thing... that HE always knows just where we are. In our ladies Sunday school class this morning, we were talking about how God has numbered the very hairs on our head. Isn't that so AMAZING? (Thanks for that song, Jill).

Hey, Mercy, you are our first Romans. I am Ephesians. (Yup, it fits).

Love ya all...

You are the source of the life
I can't be left behind
No one else will do
I will lay hold of You

I need You Jesus
To come to my rescue
Where else can I go
There's no other name by
Which I am saved

Capture me with grace
I will follow You
This world has nothing for me
I will follow You
This world has nothing for me
I will follow You

Lord of the Dance

I danced in the morning
When the world was begun,
And I danced in the moon
And the stars and the sun,
And I came down from heaven
And I danced on the earth,
At Bethlehem
I had my birth.

Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the Dance, said he

I danced for the scribe
And the pharisee,
But they would not dance
And they wouldn't follow me.
I danced for the fishermen,
For James and John -
They came with me
And the Dance went on.

Chorus
I danced on the Sabbath
And I cured the lame;
The holy people
Said it was a shame.
They whipped and they stripped
And they hung me on high,
And they left me there
On a Cross to die.

Chorus
I danced on a Friday
When the sky turned black -
It's hard to dance
With the devil on your back.
They buried my body
And they thought I'd gone,
But I am the Dance,
And I still go on.

Chorus
They cut me down
And I leapt up high;
I am the life
That'll never, never die;
I'll live in you
If you'll live in me -
I am the Lord
Of the Dance, said he.

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once, upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss, Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save, Alleluia!

But the pain which He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation hath procured, Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s king, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing, Alleluia!

Sing we to our God above, Alleluia!
Praise eternal as His love, Alleluia!
Praise Him, all you heavenly host, Alleluia!
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

I am really glad that I found this thread. The songs are really great to read.

I am a minister in The Salvation Army. We have a long history of music (not just the little brass band at the kettle) and I will share some from time to time. Blessings to you all.

God gave His Son for me,
O wondrous love!
From sin to set me free,
O wondrous love!
A guilty rebel I,
Bound and condemned to die,
He did not pass me by;
O wondrous love!

There, there at God's right hand,
O wondrous love!
I see my Saviour stand,
O wondrous love!
He makes my nature pure,
In Him I am secure,
Whatever I endure,
O wondrous love!

He'll give me needful grace,
O wondrous love!
Soon I shall see his face,
O wondrous love!
Join those who've gone before,
Sorrow and pain all o'er,
Heaven, heaven for evermore!
O wondrous love!

Hey! Sarah, Sheree' and Jilly Boo all made it! :teeth:

Jill, that would actually be Stephanie of the Michelle drags Stephanie to the parks so she doesn't have to go alone! LOL I didn't have to do any dragging to get her to agree to the cruise though. ;)

Hi Mercy! I do believe you are our first Romans! ::yes::

Do you guys remember about a month ago when Sarah (zen1) told us about her cousin Rachel? She sent me this picture of them when they were little girls and asked me to post it for her. :)

The little cutie bug is Sarah and the bigger cutie bug is Rachel. They were dancing at a family member's wedding. :)

Thanks Michelle, your the best! Just looking at that picture brings back so many wonderful memories and it brings a tear to my eye too. I still can not believe that she is gone. Thanks again Michelle for being such a wonderful friend to me, Love ya- mean it!

I appreciate you guys so much!! I just want you all to know that you bless me! Thank you for all that you share and for allowing God to use you. :)

Bowing down before Your holy throne

Hi Everyone!

Hi Mercy and Brack and "Welcome"! I am so glad that you guys found us and I hope you post often.::yes::

Jilly and Jeanne, I too was thinking on going to the movie. I am just like you Jeanne, I am really nervous and I too get very emotional. It would be really nice if we could all see it together, but we all live so far a part from each other.:(

Michelle, How was your yard sale? Did you get rid of everything that you were trying to sell?

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!:sunny:

Jill, I haven't seen The Passion of the Christ yet. We are planning to see it this week, though. I would love to have a discussion about it! :) Great idea!

I think this song fits good in memory of Rachel, may you rest in peace.

Carry You To Jesus

I will not pretend to feel the pain you're going through
I know I cannot comprehend the hurt you've known
And I used to think it mattered if I understood
But now I just don't know

Well, I'll admit sometimes I still wish I knew what to say
And I keep looking for a way to fix all

But we know we're at the mercy of God's higher ways
And our ways are so small

But I will carry you to Jesus
He is everything you need
I will carry you to Jesus on my knees

It's such a privlege for me to give this gift to you
All I'd ever hope you'd give me in return
Is to know that you'll be there to do the same for me
When the tables turn

And if you need to cry go on and, I will cry along with you, yeah
I'll give you what I have but still I know the best thing I can do
Is just pray for you

I'll carry you
I'll carry you to Jesus on my knees

There, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Colossians 3:12-13

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.
Proverbs 4:23

The power of Your love is changing me
Changing me
Changing me
Oh Lord, change me by the power of Your love

You've drawn me to Your side
And what else can I do
My heart is open wide
My hands reach out to You

I'm calling out for more
I'm asking in Your name
That by Your Spirit Lord
I will never be the same

The power of Your love is changing me
Changing me
Changing me
Oh Lord, change me by the power of Your love

I'm singing out my praise
I'm pouring out my thanks
For the power of Your love is changing me
I'm lifting up my voice
I'm dancing in the joy
For the power of Your love is changing me

Oh I'm singing out my praise
I'm pouring out my thanks
For the power of Your love is changing me
I'm lifting up my voice
I'm dancing in the joy
For the power of Your love is changing me

You're changing me
Jesus, You're changing me

JillyFish, Funny that the two songs you posted (Love Song by 3rd day, and When I survey the wonderous cross) mean a lot to me.

Love Song was one that a good friend of mine signed in church. It made me look up other music by 3rd day, which is great!

And our choir is singing an arrangement of When I survey the wondrous cross next week.

Thanks for the reminders! Lisa

Good Morning everyone! :sunny:

You guys have been busy filling our new home with wonderful songs of praise and some awesome scriptures!

Sarah, we actually got rid of most of it and I made a nice little profit. :teeth:

March 20-21, 2004

"Let Thy glory be above all the earth." Psalms 57:11

And all I have to remember today is to look up a little more often. :sunny:

March 22, 2004

"For Thou hast been a shelter for me." Psalms 61:3

Protecting me when life feels cold...

I see the Lord
Seated on the throne
He's exalted
And the train of His robe
Fills the temple with glory

And the whole earth is filled
And the whole earth is filled
And the whole earth is filled
With His glory

CS glad you made it! LOL about the road construction!

Fortunately non of us got kidnapped by our Toy hating neighbor, strapped to a rocket or chased by a snarling dog! Has stampy found our new home yet??? I hope she's not stuck at Sid's house...now I'm just being wacky!

On a serious note: I would love to see the movie but I have reservations...I think timing wil be crucial for me because I know I will bawl...even Bryan Duncan (my fav CCM artist) on his website said he was extremely emotional and wished he hadn't gone alone. But he also said that afterward he needed some time...didn't think he could talk right away. So I know God has the right time for me to go...Dan and I want to go together and we've had people who want to go as a group ask us but we have had trouble coordinating times.

Lisa, I'm glad the songs posted ministered to you...songs about the cross and Jesus' sacrifice are the most incredible I think. I love this time of year for that reason!

Thanks for all of the songs and scriptures above Jeanne, sarah, Jen, Michelle and Sheree! :teeth:

I wanted to post something from a book I am reading. It is called "The Passion of Jesus Christ" by John Piper and this passage hit me as so amazing and worth meditating on this morning...

"Oh, that we might worship the terrible wonder of the love of God! It is not sentimental. It is not simple. For our sake God did the impossible: He poured out his wrath on his own Son - the One whose submission made him infinitely unworthy to receive it. Yet the Son's very willingness to receive it was precious in God's sight. The wrath-bearer was infinitely loved!"

BTW, Lisa did you ever report on how your solo went last week? If you did I missed it. I was thinking about you...I wasn't sure if it was on the 14th or the 21st so I prayed for both! :)
