Right now I would have to say my fav is Jackie V. and Rachel Lampa. I also like Big Dismol since a friend let me hear it the other day. I was saved four years ago and honestly the hardest thing for me is being nice to people who are mean to me. I really need to work on that!!!

Hi southernclass! Thos are some great artists you're listening to! Thanks for posting and come back again! Being nice to those who are mean to us is not easy for anybody. Allowing ourselves to daily become more of Jesus and less of "US" is a lifelong process! Only when we can allow Him to continually INCREASE in us will we be able to love so fully EVERYONE as He calls us to do. I always look to His example of forgiveness to not just those who crucified Him but to ALL of us when He was on the cross and I am in AWE at His great love, grace and mercy! He calls us to live that out too and EMPOWERS us by His Spirit when we are willing to surrender and submit to Him! Prayers to you!!! :)

Hi Everyone!

Hi Tasha! It sounds like you really had a busy day yesterday. Sorry to hear about your son's finger, that must have really hurt. I am glad everything went okay with your one dog. Prayers are being said for all of you. And I love the song, You Raise Me Up, I hear that song on the radio all the time!

Hi Jilly! What wonderful pictures you posted! It's so nice to be able to put a name to a face! ::yes:: I love the one of you, princess: and your boys at the Rainforest Cafe! And the one of your boys with there Mickey Mouse hats on is so cute! Thank you for posting some of your pictures!

Hi southernclass and frustrated! :wave2:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I am going to this Transplant House, it's for people that have major transplant surgery done on them. When they are done with there surgery they go and stay at this Transplant House until they recover. This is a volunteer event that my work is involved in doing this year and we try to do other volunteer events in our area as well. We are donating a bunch of different items that they are in need of, such as toilet paper, garbage bags, hand soap, etc. So at about 4:00p.m. today when I get off of work two of us are going up to the Transplant House and donating are items that we bought. And then they are having a nice banquet dinner for us at about 8:00p.m. tonight. Since this event is about 2 hours away from are homes we are going to be staying at someones house for the night. Then the next morning they are going to be having a breakfast banquest for us. After breakfast is over we will be heading back home again. I was wondering if you could please say a prayer for us today, that everything will go well at the Transplant House for us and that we have a safe trip going up there and coming home again.
Hi Sarah :sunny:! I will be praying for your volunteer event...that sounds like a neat experience!
I was just noting my hair length chages in those pictures I posted! My hair is currently about the same as it was in the picture with Tasha. In the picture with Michelle my eyes were kinda squinty...it was a HOT DAY!!!! In the tash picture I had on sunglasses so I am looking for a picture with my eyes more open! I can't wait until I have some free time to get those pictures of of Dan's laptop we have a lot of more recent ones from our trip last summer to WDW.
I would like to request prayer for our children's SUnday this coming week. I am pretty busy as I am running it and my DH and kids are all involved. I pray everybody continues to get healthier and no one else gets sick! TIA!
Phil I hope your VBS went well today!
Jilly, those pictures are wonderful!! I love being able to put a face and a name together, especially when praying.
Stampy, it is good to see you there with Jilly, and you too, princess:
Can I play, too? I used to post on a Christian scrapbooking board, but they shut it down :( I've missed my Christian friends!
Hi ElizK, we would love to have you join us here!
Hey all...My dad just sent me the coolest picture. Please PM me if you would like to see it, it is a picture of Christ... but the profile of His face is made from His life story. So cool!
Hugs to you all!
As I look back on what I thought was living
I'm amazed at the price I choose to pay
And to think I ignored what really mattered
Cause I thought the sacrifice would be too great
But when I finally reached the point of giving in
I found the cross was calling even then
And even though it took dying to survive
I've never felt so much alive.
For I am crucified with Christ and yet I live
Not I but Christ that lives within me
His Cross will never ask for more than I can give
For its not my strength but His
There's no greater sacrifice
For I am crucified with Christ and yet I live
As I hear the Savior call for daily dying
I will bow beneath the weight of Calvary
Let my hands surrender to His piercing purpose
That holds be to the cross but sets me free
I will glory in the power of the cross
The things I thought were gain I count as loss
And with His suffering I identify
And by His resurrection power I am alive
And I will offer all I have
So that His cross is not in vain
For I found to live is Christ
And to die is truly gain
Wow! I am so glad the Lord lead me to this thread. I was just feeling down after reading one of the "debate" threads. I guess I should have known better huh? Oh well. This thread really lifted my heart to the Lord again. What a delight to see believers posting and "singin" the praises of God!! How awesome!!
Here's my song before I go to bed:
Shout to the Lord!
All the earth let us sing!
Power & majesty
Praise to the King,
Mountains bow down
and the seas will roar
at the sound of your name.
I sing for joy at the work of your hands
Forever I 'll love you, forever I'll stand,
NOTHING compares to the promise I have in you!
Blessings,
Winnie
Power of Your Love
Lord, I come to You,
let my heart be changed, renewed,
Flowing from the grace,
That I found in You
Lord, I've come to know,
The weaknesses I see in me,
Will be stripped away,
By the power of Your love
Hold me close,
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near,
Draw me to Your side
And as I wait,
I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your Love
Lord unveil my eyes,
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love,
As You live in me
Lord renew my mind,
As Your will unfolds in my life
In living every day,
In the power of Your Love
1This letter is from Paul, chosen by God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus.It is written to God's holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus. 2May grace and peace be yours, sent to you from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3How we praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we belong to Christ. 4Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure. 6So we praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. 7He is so rich in kindness that he purchased our freedom through the blood of his Son, and our sins are forgiven. 8He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. 9God's secret plan has now been revealed to us; it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to his good pleasure. 10And this is his plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ--everything in heaven and on earth. 11Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God,* for he chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as he decided long ago. 12God's purpose was that we who were the first to trust in Christ should praise our glorious God. 13And now you also have heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. 14The Spirit is God's guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God. Ephesians 1:1-14
14When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,* 15the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit. 17And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. 18And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. 19May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. 20Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. 21May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
This Is The Air I Breathe
This is the air I breathe
This is the air I breathe
Your holy presence living in me
And I, I'm desperate for you
And I, I'm lost without you
This is my daily bread
This is my daily bread
Your very Word
spoken to me
And I, I'm desperate for you
And I, I'm lost without you
This is the air that I breathe
Welcome ElizK and Winnie Olbear! Winnie, I love that song you posted and I love POOHBEAR!!! So glad to have you both here! Please post whenever you can!
Jeanne, AWESOME SONGS AND SCRIPTURES! Thank you so much for those wonderful words of life and truth!
I have a praise to share...I got a job! I was just made an offer yesterday!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: I will be teaching part time which fits in perfectly with my youngest son starting Kindergarten...it was the exact answer I needed for this year with my time schedule! God moved mightily and taught me alot along the way as I waited...I learned I can be impatient waiting on His answers to be made clear...I learned that while I wait on Him I should NOT be focused on what I will do if He doesn't come through like I thought He should. I should be focused on waiting for Him to work out the details since He knows my needs better than anybody. I wasted a lot of time worrying and being upset over the "unknown" I learned that peace doesn't come when we are wrapped up in ourselves. Somehow I know that I already had learned these things before in other trials I have been through...so I guess I can conclude that like most SHEEP...I am a slow learner. :rolleyes: Thank You Father for your patient gentle hands that truly HOLD me!
A prayer for us today...
FATHER GOD, who reigns both in heaven and on earth I CRY OUT to You now. I PRAY for Your SPIRIT TO BE POURED OUT ON US. I pray for STRENGTH for the journey. Lord, Jesus You are not a stranger to suffering and you desire for suffering to remain only so that your purifying touch can restore us and make us not only whole, but HOLY and Righteous! Father, Your Word tells us that Your eyes are upon your righteous children and your ears are attentive to our prayers. (1Peter 3) You remind us that You are awesome and that You give great power and strength to your people.(Psalm 68) We know that even when our bodies and circumstances are in turmoil, Father that our souls find rest and salvation in You.(Psalm 62) Father, I lift up my dear friends. Jesus, bring us all your peace and assurance that You will never leave or forsake us. Keep our gazes fixed upon you, the source of our hope and strength and joy. And Father God, bring your rest Lord so that we may rise up renewed and refreshed and singing your praises for Your goodness and mercy to us and to all Your people. Thank you that You are near to those who call on You...call on You in Truth! (Psalm 145).
I pray these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus, our most precious Savior and the Suffering Servant who humbly laid down His life and took our sin and shame upon Himself on the cross,
AMEN!
