OOPS, sorry Jeanne...that SCC song is from his Declaration CD, 2001.

Thanks for the info and the prayers! He is pretty comfortable right now, but the doctor warned him that once the long term anesthesia wears off he might be in a lot of pain... so I sure appreciate your prayers!
God bless you!

Hi Everyone!

Hi Jeanne, I am saying my prayers for your DH.

I have this song in my head but I can't remember all the words to it and I am not sure who sings it. This is all I can remember:

Somebodys praying me through
it may be my mother
it may even be my dad

"Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever".
PSALM 136:3 NIV

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :sunny:

Morning All! :sunny:

Thank you for all the wonderful songs and scriptures! I just love coming here and fellowshipping with you guys.

Jeanne, I'm praying that your husband has a quick and pain free recovery! ::yes::

We had our annual Missions Banquet at church last night. What a wonderful evening! I will tell you more about it later! :)

For Sarah ;)

Somebody's Praying Me Through/Allen Asbury

Pressing over me like a big blue sky
I know someone has me on their heart tonight
That’s why I know it’s gonna be alright
‘Cause somebody’s praying me through
Somebody’s praying me through
It may be my Mother, it might be my Dad
Or an old friend I’ve forgot I had
But whoever it is I’m so glad that
Somebody’s praying me through
Somebody’s praying me through
Through the tears, through the rain
Through the sorrow, through the pain
It keeps bringing me through
Over and over again
So when you’re drowning in a sea of hurt
And it feels like life couldn’t get any worse
There’s a blessing waiting to push back the curse
‘Cause somebody’s praying you through
Somebody’s praying you through
Someone got down on their knees and prayed for me
Somebody’s, somebody’s praying you through

Michelle! So looking forward to hearing about your missions dinner!

I love the words to that song too! I can sure see evidence of the truth from that song in my life everyday! Thanks Sarah for thinking of it and Michelle for finding it! :)

What a blessed feeling, to know we have been prayed for! I know that while I was growing up, my dear dear mom was praying for me. It was after her death that I found Jesus (THANKS MOM) and I know it was because she was on her knees petitioning the Father for my life. Thanks for praying for Otto, we both appreciate it very much!

Weak and wounded sinner
Lost and left to die
O, raise your head, for love is passing by
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus
Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden's lifted
And carried far away
And precious blood has washed away the stain, so
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus
Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby
Don't be afraid to crawl
And remember when you walk
Sometimes we fall...so
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus
Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain, then
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over
And music fills the night
And when you can't contain your joy inside, then
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus
Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat
Kiss the world goodbye
Then go in peace, and laugh on Glory's side, and
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus
Fly to Jesus and live!

Hi Everyone!

My mom got this email from a friend and I thought it would be a good idea to post it on here. I hope that it is ok that I post it here, it's kind of long. Once you read this, please pass it on to everyone that you know.

Please read this, a new twist on kidnapping, a very smart survivor.

About a month ago there was a woman standing by the mall entrance passing out flyers to all the women going in.

The woman had written the flyer herself to tell about an experience she had, so that she might warn other women.

The previous day, this woman had finished shopping, went out to her car and discovered that she had a flat. She got the jack out of the trunk and began to change the flat.

A nice man dressed in business suit and carrying a briefcase walked up to her and said, "I noticed you're changing a flat tire.

Would you like me to take care of it for you?"

The woman was grateful for his offer and accepted his help.

They chatted amiably while the man changed the flat, and then put the flat tire and the jack in the trunk, shut it and dusted his hands off.

The woman thanked him profusely, and as she was about to get in her car, the man told her that he left his car around on the other side of the mall, and asked if she would mind giving him a lift to his car.

She was a little surprised and she asked him why his car was on the other side.

He explained that he had seen an old friend in the mall that he hadn't seen for some time and they had a bite to eat and visited for a while; he got turned around in the mall and left through the wrong exit, and now he was running late and his car was clear around on the other side of the mall.

The woman hated to tell him "no" because he had just rescued her from having to change her flat tire all by herself, but she felt uneasy. Then she remembered seeing the man put his briefcase in her trunk before shutting it and before he asked her for a ride to his car.

She told him that she'd be happy to drive him around to his car, but she just remembered one last thing she needed to buy.

She said she would only be a few minutes; he could sit down in her car and wait for her; she would be as quick as she could be.

She told a security guard what had happened; the guard came out to her car with her, but the man had left.

They opened the trunk, took out his locked briefcase and took it down to the police station. The police opened it ( ostensibly to look for ID so they could return it to the man).

What they found was a rope, duct tape, and knives.

When the police checked her "flat" tire, there was nothing wrong with it; the air had simply

It was obvious what the man's intention was, and obvious that he had carefully thought it out in advance.

The woman was blessed to have escaped harm.

How much worse it would have been if she had children with her and had them wait in the car while the man fixed the tire, or if she had a baby strapped into a car seat. Or if she'd gone against her judgment and given him a lift.

I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know. It may save a life.

Sarah, thank you for being a sweetheart and passing along information to keep us safe but this story is just an urban legend, it's not really true. It is a good reminder though to pay attention when you feel like something isn't right.

Guys, I saw something today that totally grieved my heart and I know it must have grieved God's as well. I honestly don't even know what to think about it but I know we must pray. On our way home from Church this morning my mom and I were stopped at the red light and there was a man there holding a sign, we actually saw him last week as well but were unable to see what his sign said, today we were able to read it and I have to tell you I was shocked and saddened by what I saw. His sign read "All churches are spiritually dead, all believers must leave the churches now!" Well, let me tell you, while I sat there with my mouth open my mom rolled down the window and yelled across three lanes of traffic and tells this man "My church is not spiritually dead" to which he replies "I'm sorry", I guess to imply that she is wrong, the light turns green and we have to be on our way but gosh, I would have liked to have been able to talk to this man and find out what the basis for his misguided belief is. The only person who would want believers to leave the churches is Satan. When people stop gathering together for corporate worship, when they stop gathering together to receive God's word and the sermon's that He has impressed upon the heart's of the Pastors, when they stop gathering together with the purpose of spreading the Gospel to our country and to the nations, even when believers stop gathering together for times of fellowship with one another, if those things come to an end, the Body of Christ will fall apart. Being with your fellow believers is so important that God made sure it was in the Bible for us. In Hebrews 10:25 He is clear that we are NOT to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as some are in the habit of doing but that we should exort and encourage one another as we see the day approaching (my paraphrase). My friends, that day is approaching and we need to pray, please join with me to pray for this man, for those who share his beliefs and to those who may be led astray.

Thanks for the reminder of how satan will attack using any means, princess: . We do need to pray hard.

I agree. Satan will do everything in his power to make us not stand united. However, he is so wrong. Church is many of our saving grace.
