Hey everyone! :)

CS, congratulations to you and your BF, I hope you have many more wonderful years together!

I'm celebrating an anniversary myself around the same time. I'll have been at my current job for a year at the end of this month. I just got my second raise today! :teeth:

Tasha, I'll be praying for your safety as you travel. I hope you have a nice trip. I'm glad you had such a great time at VBS! Love that song, however, I think you are talented enough to have done the motions as you typed. :p ;)

This was my "Word for the day" email for today, I thought I would share it with you guys. :)

Melodiousness comes when I allow God to bring harmony and melody into my life through positive and negative experiences. As I respond to life's challenges with faith and a teachable spirit, God touches others with the music of my life and creates a hunger for His sweet song of salvation.

"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God..." Psalm 40:3

Thanks Michelle! Obviously I'm not *all* that talented 'cause I think that second part is really supossed to be "I've got LOVE"(not peace again)....ahhhh well, I never claimed to be singer after all!

Has it been a yr. on the job already - time flies!

Take care all! :p :earseek: :earseek: That is for my DH who just snuck up behind me and scared me out of my skin!!! AC and fans are on so I didn't hear him.....

With a Little Faith:Stacie Orrico

I'd say I'm always happy if you want me to

But sometimes it's not that easy

My life is not as perfect as it seems to be

It's simply God's amazing grace

I'm here to share His love with you

There is no need to fear to live this life of love

With a little faith, with a little love

I know we can make it

I know we can make it

With a little help sent from God above

I know we can make it

I know we can make it through

I know what it takes to be yourself

Instead of when they put you down

I can't understand why you choose to hide

When you should run to the strength I found

If only you'd see for yourself

Then you could know the one

Who loves you so much more

If only I could help you out

But God's the only one

What are you waiting for

repeat chorus

It seems to wash away

Can't find a will to go on

But I am here to say there's hope

You must carry on

Jesus will light your way

He'll give you all that you need

No need to be afraid all you've got to do is believe

repeat chorus

Don't Look at Me: Stacie Orrico

Don't look at me If you're lookin' for perfection

Don't look at me, I will only let you down

I'll do my best to point you in the right direction

But don't look at me, no,no,no

Don't look at me, look at Him

Sometimes I have a fear

That you will see a mirror

And get the thought that it's the main attraction

But all that you detect

Is just what I reflect

Of the object of my own affection

I'll lead you to the One I found

He'll give you everything you need

Don't look at me If you're lookin' for perfection

Don't look at me, I will only let you down

I'll do my best to point you in the right direction

But don't look at me, no, no, no

Don't look at me, look at Him

It's understandable to want a hero

But people can't meet all your expectations

Still some can teach you things

About the love He brings

Just know the source of life is in the Savior

repeat chorus

He's the One who lived a perfect life

He's the One who always gets it right

He's the one and only guiding light

Ohh, yea

He is everything you want to be

He's the answer to your every need

If you follow Him then you will see He's like no other

repeat chorus

Song of the Cebu: Veggietales

Narrator: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Larry the Cucumber presents, in a sequential image, stereophonic, multimedia event, the "Song of the Cebú!"
Larry: cebú! This is a song about a boy ... a song about a little boy and his cebús ... a song about a little boy and his three cebús ... the little boy who had a sick cebú, a sad cebú and a mute cebú. And also a hippo.

Um ... um ... this is a picture of me at the airport. This is my Aunt Ruth. This is me at a bullfight. This is me fighting the bull.

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Ohh!

Larry: This is me and the bull.

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Ahh!

Larry: This is me and the bull and ... I think that's the bull's cousin. He's a cebú!

Archibald: Hold it! You call this a multimedia event? This is a slide projector and a bed sheet! And what on Earth is a cebú, anyway?

Larry: It's kind of like a cow. See?

Archibald: Yes. Well, very good. This could be interesting. Carry on!

Larry: Cebú! Sing it with me! Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

Larry: Boy is riding with cebú

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Boy is riding with cebú

Larry: Into town in his canoe

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Into town in his canoe

Larry: Sick cebú is rowing and sneezing. Achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo moo moo

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo moo moo

Larry: Hippo chewing on bamboo

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Hippo chewing on bamboo

Larry: Can't see boy and three cebús

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Can't see boy and three cebús

Larry: Sad cebú is rowing and crying. Boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo moo moo

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo moo moo

Larry: Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

Larry: Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

All: Achoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, achoo moo moo, boo-hoo moo moo, cebú!

Larry: Hippo seen by mute cebú

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Hippo seen by mute cebú

Larry: Tries to tell the other two

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Tries to tell the other two

Larry: Mute cebú is waving and grunting. Mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm mmm mmm

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm, mmm-hmm mmm mmm mmm mmm

Larry: Uh-oh.

Archibald: Wait! What happens next?

Larry: Um ...

Archibald: Does the hippo see them? Is the poor mute cebú successful in communicating the imminent danger to the other passengers? Is the boy injured? Why is the sad cebú sad? Is the canoe wood or aluminum?

Larry: Oh, look! There's me and Bob at Sea World! Oh, wow. Forgot about that one. There's me and that bull again.

Archibald: You can't just start a song and leave it hanging like that! You know, I've come to expect a lot more from you. This is quite disappointing! I'm going to have to speak to Bob about this.

Larry: Oh look, a cebú! Cebú!

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: Cebú!

Larry: No, wait ... that's a water buffalo.

Jimmy, Jerry & Junior: No more song about cebú! Need another verse or two! Audience is standing and leaving, bye-bye moo, bye-bye moo, bye-bye moo, bye-bye moo moo moo moo

Jimmy: I want my money back!

Jerry: Yeah, that'd be ... that'd be good.

Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: Veggietales

Narrator: "Joining Larry are Pa Grape and Mr. Lunt, who together make up the infamous gang of scalliwags, the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything!"
Larry, Pa, Mr. Lunt: "We are the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! We just stay home and lie around. And if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you ..."

Larry: "We don't do anything!"

Pa: "Well, I've never been Greenland and I've never been to Denver, and I've never buried treasure in St. Louis or St. Paul, and I've never been to Moscow and I've never been to Tampa, and I've never been to Boston in the fall."

All: "'Cuz we're the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! We just stay home and lie around. And if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you ..."

Mr. Lunt: "We don't do anything. And I never hoist the mainstay and I never swab the poop deck, and I never veer to starboard 'cuz I never sail at all, and I've never walked the gang plank and I've never owned a parrot, and I've never been to Boston in the fall."

All: "'Cuz we're the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! We just stay at home and lie around. And if you ask us to do anything, we'll just tell you ... We don't do anything!"

Larry: "Well, I've never plucked a rooster and I'm not too good at ping-pong, and I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall, and I've never kissed a chipmunk and I've never gotten head lice, and I've never been to Boston in the fall!"

Pa: "Huh? What are you talking about? What's a rooster and mashed potatoes have to do with being a pirate??"

Mr. Lunt: "Hey, that's right! We're supposed to sing about pirate-y things!"

Larry: "Oh ..."

Pa: "And who ever kissed a chipmunk? That's just nonsense! Why even bring it up? Am I right? What do you think?"

Mr. Lunt: "I think you look like Cap'n Crunch!"

Pa: "Huh? No I don't!"

Mr. Lunt: "Do too."

Pa: "Do not!"

Mr. Lunt: "You're making me hungry."

Pa: "That's it, you're walkin' the plank!"

Mr. Lunt: "Says who?"

Pa: "Says the captain, that's who!"

Mr. Lunt: "Oh, yeah? Aye aye, Cap'n Crunch!"

Larry: "And I've never licked a spark plug and I've never sniffed a stink bug, and I've never painted daisies on a big red rubber ball, and I've never bathed in yogurt and I don't look good in leggings ..."

Pa: "You just don't get it!"

All: "And we've never been to Boston in the fall!"

Pa: "Pass the chips! Who's got the remote control?"

Larry: "Here is is!"

Mr. Lunt: "Time for Geraldo!"

Pa: "It's definitely time for Wapner."

Mr. Lunt: "Oh, I don't like this show ..."

Everything to Me/Avalon

I grew up in sunday school
I memorized the Golden rule
And how Jesus came to set the sinner free
I know the story inside out
I can tell you all about
The path that led Him up to Calvary
But ask me why He loves me
And I don't know what to say
But I'll never be the same
Because he changed my life when He became...

Everything to me
He's more than a story
more than words on a page of history
He's the air that I breath
The water I thirst for
And the ground beneath my feet
He's everything, everything to me

We're living in uncertain times
And more and more I find that I'm aware
Of just how fragile life can be
I want to tell the world I found
A love that turned my life around
They need to know that they can taste and see
Now everyday I'm praying
Just to give my heart away
I want live for Jesus
So that someone else might see that He is...

Everything to me
He's more than a story
more than words on a page of history
He's the air that I breath
The water I thirst for
And the ground beneath my feet
He's everything
And looking back over my life at the end
I'll go to meet you saying you've been...

You're everything to me
You're more than a story
More than words on a page of history
You're everything to me
You're more than a story
More than words on a page of history
You're the air that I breath
The water I thirst for
And the ground beneath my feet
You're everything to me
Lord, you're everyting to me

Hey Everybody! :)

Michelle, I love that song!!

I've just decided with all of the stress in my life, (separation, ex's cancer, DS#1 getting engaged - again!, DS#2 leaving for college, money, etc.) I'm finally "letting go and letting God". What peace! What freedom!

Thank you all for your prayers. And please know that even if I can't post every day, I read your posts and lift each of you up in prayer.

So, I'm singing again ....

BRIGHT STAR BLUE SKY

Scott Krippayne – BRIGHT STAR BLUE SKY
From the album – BRIGHT STAR BLUE SKY
Label – Spring Hill (1999)

You are the wisdom when I can’t find the answers on my own
You are the chisel when I let my heart turn into stone
Every moment You’re the one I depend upon

You are the sanctuary when my soul’s in need of peace
You are the hunger when the world lays treasures at my feet
You’re the portion where all my strength comes from
A light on the horizon, a diamond in the dark

chorus:
Bright star blue sky, my hope day and night
My Lord my life, bright star blue sky

You are the haven where my deepest secrets are confessed
You are the friend who loves me at my worst and at my best
And it’s amazing how well you know me
At home up in the heavens and right here in my heart

(chorus)

Bridge:
A mercy with the dawn of each new day
A fire that burns when all else fades away

(chorus)

In Him,
Edie

{{{hugs}}} Edie, you are so precious, you have so much on your plate right now and the way you are handling it is such an inspiration. Life would be so much better if we could all adopt the "Let go and Let God" attitude through all our circumstances.

This is my "Word for the day" and I think it is appropriate for all of us. I know it's something I need to be believing daily.

God gives me rest as I wait on Him daily. I can turn to Him in troubling times and know that He will fill my spirit with a calm peace and assurance that He is in control.

"Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him..." Psalm 37:7 KJV

Wait/Steven Curtis Chapman

You wonder when
The Lord will renew the strength within you
You wonder how
How can He use you as you are
Seems like you're wasting precious time
But then a voice comes to remind you (to wait)

Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
You will understand in time
Why you must wait
Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
Yes He hears you
But for now you must wait on the Lord

Answers come slowly to your cries of desperation
But time is His tool
Teaching the greatest lessons learned
So let Him do His work in you
And watch the miracles come true as you (wait)

Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
You will understand in time
Why you must wait
Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
Yes He hears you
But for now you must wait on the Lord

They that wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength
They will rise up with wings as eagles
They will run and not get weary
They will walk and not faint
That's a promise to us when we (wait)

Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
You will understand in time
Why you must wait
Wait, wait, wait on the Lord
Yes He hears you
But for now you must wait on the Lord

Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin' for to carry me home
Swing low, sweet chariot
Comin' for to carry me home

I looked over Jordan and what did I see?
Comin' for to carry me home
A band of angels comin' after me
Comin' for to carry me home

Swing low...

Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down
Comin' for to carry me home
But still I know I'm heavenly bound
Comin' for to carry me home

Swing low...

If you get there before I do
Comin' for to carry me home
Tell all my friends that I'm a-comin' too
Comin' for to carry me home

Now if I get there before you do
Comin' for to carry me home
I'll cut a hole and I'll pull you through
Comin' for to carry me home

Swing low...

The Hairbrush Song: Veggietales

Narrator: "Our curtain opens as Larry, having just finished his morning bath, is searching for his hairbrush. Having no success, Larry cries out ..."
Larry: "Oh, where is my hairbrush? Oh where is my hairbrush? Oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where, oh, where oh, where ... is my hairbrush?"

Narrator: "Having heard his cry, Pa Grape enters the scene. Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Pa regains his composure and reports ..."

Pa: "I think I saw a hairbrush back there!"

Larry: "Back there is my hairbrush. Back there is my hairbrush. Back there, back there, oh, where, back there, oh, where, oh, where, back there, back there, back there ... is my hairbrush?"

Narrator: "Having heard his joyous proclamation, Junior Asparagus enters the scene. Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Junior regains his composure and comments ..."

Junior: "Why do you need a hairbrush? You don't have any hair!"

Narrator: "Larry is taken aback. The thought had never occured to him. No hair? What would this mean? What will become of him? What will become of his hairbrush? Larry wonders ..."

Larry: "No hair for my hairbrush. No hair for my hairbrush. No hair, no hair, no where, no hair, no hair, no hair, no where back there, no hair ... for my hairbrush."

Narrator: "Having heard his wonderings, Bob the Tomato enters the scene. Shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of Larry in a towel, Bob regains his composure and confesses ..."

Bob: "Larry, that old hairbrush of yours ... Well, you never use it, you don't really need it. So, well, I'm sorry ... I didn't know. But I gave it to the Peach - 'cause he's got hair!"

Narrator: "Feeling a deep sense of loss, Larry stumbles back and laments ..."

Larry: "Not fair! Oh, my hairbrush. Not fair! My poor hairbrush. Not fair, not fair, no hair, not fair, no where, no hair, not fair, not fair, not fair! My little hairbrush!"

Narrator: "Having heard his lament, the Peach enters the scene. Himself in a towel, both Larry and the Peach are shocked and slightly embarrassed at the sight of each other. But recognizing Larry's generosity, the Peach is thankful ..."

Peach: "Thanks for the hairbrush."

Narrator: "Yes, good has been done here. The Peach exits the scene. Larry smiles, but, still feeling an emotional attachment for the hairbrush, calls out ..."

Larry: "Take care of my hairbrush. Take care, oh my hairbrush. Take care, take care, don't dare not care. Take care. Nice hair. No fair. Take care, take care ... of my hairbrush."

Narrator: "The end!"

God Loves You: Rachel Lampa

Just about the time that you

have the whole world figured out

That would be the time that you

enter in a season of doubt, I'll tell you

That every time those thoughts begin to

enter your mind

Your Father picks you up again and

that's how you find that

God loves you

You know it, you know it, you know it, know it

God loves you

Forever and ever and ever, ever

You know just how cold it feels

When there's no hope left in sight

All alone and scared you pray

For strength to make it through the night, remember

When every turn you take just leaves you

cold in the dark

Light breaks through and shows you

He was there all along cause

repeat chorus

You never really wanted to believe it was true

You never really thought that this could

happen to you

But just as soon as you begin to throw up your hands

Your Father whispers gently and then

you understand that

repeat chorus

All: There's never-ever-ever-ever-ever been a show like VeggieTales!
There's never-ever-ever-ever-ever been a show like VeggieTales!
It's time for VeggieTales!

Thanks for the song silky, don't hear that one too often unless I'm watching old movies.

JILLY!!! Haven't seen you in awhile. I'm glad you liked the "Words", I get those in an email every day and just post the ones that I feel like I should. :)

In fact, I was just about to post today's as it something I really need to adhere to!

Teachability understands the value of listening to others. It is keeping my spirit open to weigh the thoughts and opinions of others and choosing to approach life as a student and learner under God's tuition.

"Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance." Proverbs 1:5

I hope you are doing well, pinch your boys cheeks for me! :teeth:
