Tiff, wow about the tornado stopping! My cousin(one of the 25+ of them ) and wife are in Tulsa.

What an afternoon we had yesterday! I picked DD up and took her shopping for a friend's B-day. While in the shop were heard sirens. We went home and my DH called to see if I'd heard....my BIL had been in a head-on crash(his fault) and was life flighted from our local hospital to a bigger one! I made some calls and found out that he was transporting students from our Christian School from a field trip...my Sis was in a different car doing the same(she is a teacher there and this was her Spanish I +II classes). He had crossed the turning lane and gone into oncoming traffic and hit a lady from our old church! He had chest pain, difficulty breathing and they suspected internal bleeding...all of which were eventually ruled out - thankfully. He will be a hurtin' unit for a while. They were to be leaving Weds. on a train trip AR for his son's graduation - not sure if that willl happen now. The worst of the student's injuries is a broken collar bone and the other car's passengers were fine(scrapes and sprains and bruises). I had my niece and nephew until my Sis could come home.....they are fun, but I'm beat! Very thankful all is well - or at least better than it could've been!

Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms - give your kids an extra hug, they are the best gift!

I gotta go...DS starts T-ball today and DH is working...so I'm on duty!

Jill, you asked what versions of the Bible we use. I read the NIV. I also like the New Living Translation. The NIV is the one I use consistently, though.

Tasha!! I am so glad that your BIL and everyone else are ok! Wow, how scary that must have been!
I like the name for your Dog Kennel. I like that verse in your signature, too!

CRB, that song is called More Than Enough, just as you suspected! Chris Tomlin sings it. He is a worship leader that is often involved with the Passion conferences. I soooo wish you could hear the song. I love it!

Finally found us on the third page of the BB, so I'm bumping us back up! No real words of wisdom, except to tell you that my visit to my new church was fantastic! One of the female pastors spoke about the woman who was healed by touching the hem of Jesus's cloak. It was so moving!

AND the final hymn was my theme song, "I Will Never Be"

Edie...I'm glad you enjoyed your new church yesterday. I keep waiting for God to tell us that we are "home" - while we enjoy the church we have attended the most, it doesn't feel like "home" yet.

Yesterday was nice, my kids are so sweet! At church we sang lots of my faves....Shine Jesus Shine, Be Thou My Vision, Come Thou Fount....I don't remember the others.

My BIL is fine....his knee is quite swollen and bruised. One of the Students has a broken collar bone and has severe pain in her tail bone. Policies for field trips will be changing....better late than never I suppose.

DS had T-ball on Sat. and we had a great time! DD spent Sat. with a friend and now we are all exhausted from such a hectic weekend!

It is coming to Oklahoma City the weekend of August 8 & 9, and I wish that I could go. However, we will be moving into our new house at that time (supposed to be anyway) so I can't go off that weekend.

I'm stopping in to let you, my friends in Christ, know that I'm going to be taking a break from the DIS for awhile. While I love this particular thread and get great joy from it, I'm hurt by what I see happening to many good people that are on the DIS. I thought it stopped a while ago, but now I'm seeing some backlash from things I thought were gone, and it hurts. I can't watch it and I'm not strong enough to ignore it. So a break sounds good! (especially with a wedding to plan!)

I may be back, I may not.
