Good morning everyone.

Broken & Beautiful
By Mark Schultz

There’s a businessman, there’s a widowed wife
A smiling face with a shattered life
A teenage girl with a choice to make
It’s crowded here in church today

And the preacher says as the sermon ends
“Please close your eyes, bow your heads
Is there anyone in need of prayer,
Oh Jesus wants to meet you here”
Cause we all fall short, and we all have sinned
But when you let, God’s grace break in

(Chorus)
It’s Beautiful, Beautiful
Come as you are
Surrender your heart
Broken and beautiful

Well he’d never been to church before
But he came today as a last resort
His world was crashing in
And he was suffocating in his sin

But tears rolled down as hope rushed in
He closed his eyes, raised his hands
Worshipping the God who can
Bring him back to life again

(Chorus)
And it’s beautiful, beautiful
Come as you are
Surrender your heart
Broken and beautiful, beautiful
Come as you are
Surrender your heart
Broken and beautiful

Cause there’s nothing more beautiful at all
Than when His sons and daughters call, broken

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Come as you are
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Come as you are

(Chorus)
Broken and beautiful, beautiful
Come as you are
Surrender your heart
Broken and beautiful, beautiful
Come as you are
Surrender your heart
Broken and beautiful
Come as you are
Broken and beautiful, beautiful
Come as you are
Surrender your heart

Broken and beautiful
Broken and beautiful
Broken and beautiful
Beautiful

Our local christian radio station announced yesterday afternoon that Steven Curtis Chapman will be on Good Morning America and Larry King Live next week. I called the station and asked what day. They told me that it will be next Thursday, August 7. I have already set my DVR. I have not been able to confirm the day based on info on my cable guide. I will keep watching and listening to verify the date. I also plan to check out Larry King's web site, GMA's web site and SCC's web site.

Hey everyone, I've found another favorite song I really like, and I'm sure you all will too! Its a song by the band MercyMe. Here's the song:

I Can Only Imagine
by: MercyMe

I can only imagine what it will be like, when I walk by Your side...

I can only imagine, what my eyes will see, when Your Face is before me!

I can only imagine..
I can only imagine..

Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus? Or in awe of You, be still?
Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing 'Hallelujah!'? Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine, when that day comes, when I find myself standing in the Son!
I can only imagine, when all I will do, is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

Yeah! I can only imagine!

Yeah! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine! Yeah! I can only imagine!! Only imagine!!!
I can only imagine.

I can only imagine, when all I do is forever, forever worship You!
I can only imagine..

Good morning everyone! Hope you all are doing well! Heard this song on the drive in this morning and wanted to share. Isn't is wonderful to know that no matter what we face or go through.....we don't go alone!

Merideth Andrews - I Am Not Alone

You're Not Alone

I search for love
When the night came and it closed in
I was alone
but you found me where I was hiding
and though I'll never ever be the same
It was the sweetest voice that called my name
singing

You're not alone
For I am here
let me wipe away every fear
My love I've never left your side
I have seen you through the darkest night
and I'm the one that's loved you all your life
All of your life

You cry yourself to sleep
cause the hurt is real
and the pain cuts deep
All hope seems lost
With heartache your closest friend
and everyone else long gone

You've had to face the music on your own
but there is a sweeter song that calls you home
**sayin'

You're not alone
For I am here
let me wipe away your every tear
My love I've never left your side
I have seen you through the darkest nights
And I'm the one that's love you all your life
All your life

Faithful and true... Forever
For my love will carry you....

You're not alone
for I... I am here
let me wipe away every fear... Oh yeah
My love I've never left your side
I have seen you through your darkest nights
Your darkest nights
And I'm the one that's loved you all your life
All of your life

The song above also made me think of this one:

Natalie Grant - I Am Not Alone

You’re here in my heart
You’re the light that guides me through the dark
You walk beside me, the night seems cold
Each time I fall, You’re arms are there to hold
You walk beside me, giving strength I’ve never known
I am not alone, You walk beside me, I am not alone

You’re here in my mind
I talk to you and all my fears unwind
I know I’m loved for who I am
You make me want to be the best that I can
You walk beside me, giving strength I’ve never known
And I am not alone, You walk beside me, I am not alone
Wherever the road leads

And I rely on Your patience when I face the unknown
And because of You, I am not alone

I am not alone, You’re always beside me, I am not alone
In the sun, in the rain
Through the good times, and in the pain
You’re always beside me
I reach out for Your hand, I know that You understand

***** May God bless each and everyone of you today! *****

Hi everyone.
I don't know if I mentioned this already or not, but I am a homeschool mom. This is our first week of school..........yes, back to school time! :thumbsup2So we are now back to a daily routine. This year, though, my oldest DD is doing the A Beka video academy so I am able to finish my day a little faster. That is a blessing!
I listened to this song this morning during my workout time. I listen to it often, but today the words hit me fresh and new, just like I was listening to it for the first time. I was reminded again of why I love it so much. These words express how I want to go deeper with Him!

Deeper Still
by Scott Krippayne

Here I am in this familiar place again
Standing on the shore of my complacency
Ankle deep in love I once was swimming in
Shallowness has taken over me

But the current pulls the sand
And moves my stubborn feet
From the dryness of the land
To where the wave pound over me

CHORUS:
Take me deep enough where I can see
The bottom of Your heart
Deep enough that I can know Your will
Deep enough to know that we
Will never be apart
And when I get there
Take me deeper still

Take me through the wonders of Your faithfulness
Help me see the depth of my own need
Lead me to the water where Your mercy is
For You and You alone can set me free

I am covered by Your grace
Far away from shore
As You're taking me to places
I have never been before

CHORUS

I want to drown in the water
I want to drown in Your truth
Take me all the way under
Where I have to trust in You

CHORUS

I looked for the video to post, but I could not find it online anywhere. Sorry. :guilty:
However, you can go to this page, http://www.scottkrippayne.com/music.htm Find the "All of Me" album (3rd one down from the top), and click on "Deeper Still" (first song). It will play part of the song for you.
Enjoy! I think it is a great song!

We've recently discovered the movie "Facing the Giants". If you haven't seen it, it's about a small Christian school football coach who's life is unravelling util he decides to allow Jesus to lead his life. It's one of the most powerful movies I've ever seen. You MUST see it.

http://www.facingthegiants.com/

This song was on the sound track and it is wonderful:

Casting Crowns - The Voice of Truth
Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves

To step out of my comfort zone
To the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He's holding out his hand

But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again. 'Boy, you'll never win!'
"You'll never win"

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a Sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again "boy, you'll never win!
"You'll never win"

But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Yes, BellvilleDad, that is a great movie!
Have you seen the other one that the same church made/put out?
It is called Flywheel. (http://www.flywheelthemovie.com/) I have to admit that I still have not seen it. I have noticed it on the shelf at Blockbuster; I just haven't picked it up yet. Have you heard the story behind the making of those movies? A church made them! The actors, writers, etc. are all from the church! Amazing!
Our local Christian radio station announced that this Georgia church will soon be releasing their newest movie in September. The same church of creators is making this one, too. However, Kirk Cameron has a starting role. Here is the link for the movie, Fireproof -- http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/main.php
Based on the trailer, it looks great, too!!!! I can't wait to see it.

Also, have all of you seen The Last Sin Eater? http://www.christiancinema.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1713
It is an AMAZING move!!!!!!! It is a beautiful story of redemption!!!!!
It does get scary for little ones, though.

I am sorry that I have gone on and on. I understand how wonderful it is to find family friendly movies......especially movies that share the GREAT news of the Gospel!!!!!

I've seen Flywheel, and it has a great message, too. It was their first movie, and the production quality is not quite the same as Facing the Giants, but it's still good!

Yes, the church is Sherwood Baptist in Albany, GA, not far from me. It's an impressive accomplishment.

We've been looking forward to Fireproof for a while now. I know Kirk Cameron is in it, but I expect, with Alex Kendrick running the show, it'll be a better movie than the Left Behind series Cameron did. **crosses fingers**

I heard an awesome song for the first time this morning at church. The choir sang it as a special, and one of the choir members sang the lead part. It was one of those songs that the words were so powerful that I found myself wanting to stand and shout. I came home today and searched for it online. It is done by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. All of you may have heard it already, but it was new to me. I thought I would share it just in case it is new for any of you, too.

I'm Amazed
by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir

No one knew how alone I was feeling,
And the emptiness I tried so hard to hide
Though I laughed and said my life was fine without You,
I was covering up the secret tears I cried
Then one day someone told me of Your mercy
And the love You showed on a hill called Calvary
There you died and purchased my redemption
When you broke sin’s power and set my spirit free

Chorus
I’m amazed that you love me
I’m amazed how you care
Through your precious blood,
I’ve found pardon
And my sins are washed,
They’re all washed away
All my sins are washed away

It’s true there have been days when I’ve failed You
Lord, you know the many times I’ve gone astray
But I’ve learned that Your love is stronger than my weakness
And your ear is open every time I pray.
No one else has ever cared for me like You, Lord
Other friends could never be as close to me
I’m not afraid to face the problems of tomorrow
Knowing You are everything I’ll ever need

Chorus

Our choir has performed "Orphans of God". It'll touch your heart...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taZljgrWCF8&feature=related

Who here among us has not been broken
Who here among us is without guilt or pain
So oft’ abandoned by our transgressions
If such a thing as grace exists
Then grace was made for lives like this

There are no strangers
There are no outcasts
There are no orphans of God
So many fallen, but hallelujah
There are no orphans of God

Come ye unwanted and find affection
Come all ye weary, come and lay down your head
Come ye unworthy, you are my brother
If such a thing as grace exists
Then grace was made for lives like this

O blessed Father, look down upon us
We are Your children, we need Your love
We run before Your throne of mercy
And seek Your face to rise above

Good morning everyone!

Chris Tomlin - Indescribable

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea,
Creation's revealing Your majesty.
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring,
Every creature unique in the song that it sings. All exclaiming...

(Chorus)
Indescribable, Uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God.
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees and we humbly proclaim,
You are amazing God.

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go,
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow?
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light,
Yet conceals it to give us the coolness of night?
None can fathom...

(Chorus)

Incomparable, Unchangeable,
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same.
You are amazing God.

by:
Switchfoot

yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
yesterday is a promise that you've broken
don't close your eyes, don't close your eyes
this is your life and today is all you've got now
yeah, and today is all you'll ever have
don't close your eyes
don't close your eyes

this is your life, are you who you want to be
this is your life, are you who you want to be
this is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be
when the world was younger and you had everything to lose

yesterday is a kid in the corner
yesterday is dead and over

this is your life, are you who you want to be
this is your life, are you who you want to be
this is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be

Just had to say that I love that Switchfoot song as well! It gets played quiet often on our local Christian radio station. The first time I heard it I was driving in to work and didn't know who it was so I emailed the morning host to ask the artist.

Hi everyone.
I wanted to share this beautiful song with you today.
This song has helped me through many tough times. My cousin is in the hospital today delivering her baby. When I told her that I was praying for her, this song came to my mind. I am so thankful for the power of prayer!!!!!!

Somebody's Praying
by Ricky Skaggs

Somebody's praying; I can feel it
Somebody's praying for me

Mighty hands are guiding me
To protect me from what I can't see
Lord I believe, Lord I believe
Somebody's praying for me

Angels are watching; I can feel it
Angels are watching over me

There's many miles ahead till I get home
Still I'm safely kept before your throne
Cause Lord I believe, Lord I believe
Your angels are watching over me

Well, I've walked the barren wilderness
Where my pillow was a stone
And I've been through the darkest caverns
Where no light had ever shown

Still I went on cause there was someone
Who was down on their knees
And Lord, I thank you for those people
Praying all this time for me

Somebody's praying; I can feel it
Somebody's praying for me
Mighty hands are guiding me
To protect me from what I can't see

Lord I believe, Lord I believe
Somebody's praying for me.

Somebody's praying for me.
