Wednesday - I ran 7 miles to pick up DDs at school. It was HOT (85+) and my JRT Zoe started to slow a bit. I slowed my pace for her...because she is always having to slow down for me. I did have H2O for both of us and we drank every bit!

Thursday - It is raining a bit today. I was going to bike, but I do not bike well in the rain. Should have biked yesterday and ran today. My LR is tomorrow though, so I may just rest. Do not know how far I will be going tomorrow.
 
Ran 6 miles today with sis. We sis the trails. Her 1st 1/2 is 14 days away. I am so excited that I have the honor of running her 1st with her.:cool1:
 
I went out and ran 3.2 miles in 25 min then I got on my bike and did 11 HILLY miles. I was getting ready to go back out to run another 3.2, but DH called and was called into work. He is on call this week.... ! My plan was to run 3.2/bike 10/run 3.2/bike 10....only got half of it in. But got to take to the park and play with them.

Monday - Ran 3 short HOT miles...so bad that I had to take JRT back home after 2 miles and do the last one by myself. Was going to do more, but just ran out of time.
Had a "show" tonight for a fund raising thingy...met Panther players...:3dglasses

Tuesday - Nothing...except rehearsal tonight. But that won't count for much. May run afterwards, but may be too tired. It will end late.
 

Wednesday - Got in a quickie today between clients. Running I mean!:lmao: 7.1 miles. Did an out and back. Out 32 min ( I forgot to look at my watch and went 2 min too long) and back 28 min. Yeah! Neg splits!:cool1: This was around an 8:27 min mile.:banana:

Thursday - Biked 30 miles today.
THe longest I have ever been.
Here are the 10 things I learned!
This is copied from the running thread!

1. My tri shorts don't cut it on a 30 mile ride. I need some new bike shorts.
2. Wipe off your H2O bottle b/4 drinking or you may get a mouth full of dirt!
3. If you are walking 50,000 dogs, and taking up the whole trail...Do not wear headphones so you can hear me YELL "Passing on your left".
4. If you (well me) are going to yell pass on your left, don't pass on the right....I guess I need to learn my left form my right.
5. I need new bike shorts!
6. After riding long, it is not easy to get off the bike. Swinging the leg over the bike hurts.
7. Make sure a police car is not behind you when the light turns green. This is mainly if he is going to pull someone over and turns on the real loud siren! Yes this happened today and I almost fell off my bike in the middle of the intersection.
8. I need new bike shorts!
9. My legs get cold on the bike even at 60 degrees!
10. And last! I need to put a warning out before I ride b/c the WISH shirt is so bright, that people were blinded as I passed them.
 
Good job training Christa. Your posts crack me up. So I have a question for you. Do you need new bike shorts?
 
i COPIED THIS POST FROM THE wish BOARDS...i GUESS i AM TOO LAZY TO RETYPE...ahhhhh, MY GIRLS HAVE THIS THING ON CAP LOCKS AGAIN!

Ran an out and back course 2x. 2 miles out and (duh) 2 miles back. I like to run the route b/4 I run it with sis so I look like I know where I am going.

here is the break down:
Me by myself! The 1st 2 miles are totally UP HILL! Sis is going to kill me is what I am thinking...well at least the back part is down hill. I did that in 17 min (8:30 MPM) and this includes 3 rather long stop lights.
The 2nd 2 miles are down! Well kind of...how can this be up hill both ways? Did it in 16 min with the same 3 stop lights....8 MPM!
Sis joins me and we do the 4 miles in 44 min....we were at the turn around point at 22 so she ran a strong 11 MPM! She is going to do great next weekend! Oh, this still includes the 3 stop lights!

I GOT NEW BIKE SHORTS! They make my bum look huge though!:scared1: At least that is what I was told by my sweet little princess: princess: . Got a med but they are a bit big on me. They did not have a small though.:sad2:
 
Xtrained with dressing up like Spot the dawg (that is how we say dog in the south :rotfl: ) and dancing around like a crazy fool for 300+ children and some adults.
I always feel like I have run a 1/2 marathon after the show...not a full, bu ta 1/2.:confused3 I am so OUT OF CONTROL!

SAD NEWS! But I am really not that upset about it too much......
We most likely will not do WDW 08. DH isn't really that interested and I can go either way. That is not final but, I am planning other races to take WDWs place (like anything could take WDWs place).

I just don't have the heart though to officially post it on the WISH race thread yet though.:sad2:
 
Monday - Took DDs to the park and played some running games. After DH came home from work and his run, I went out and ran 3.4 miles around the neighborhood. Normally this is no fun for me. I hate running in my neighborhood. Don't know why...maybe it is b/c it's so hilly. But today it was cool. I had fun with it. I think I took it slower than normal, but not really sure b/c I did not have my watch with me.

Tuesday - xtrained with dancing in my normal Tuesday show.

Wednesday - It is rainy here today so not sure what I will do. I am getting ready to go to work (a little later than normal, but I did not feel like WO this morning) so I will just have to see. Sis and I are running a 1/2 this weekend so I may just take the day off from WO.
 
OK! Here is what I did Wednesday
I have to work most of the day but got a quick ride on a stationary bike:eek: (b/c of the rain) and sit ups.
6 miles on the bike...told you it was quick and 150 situps....not much to write home about, but got something in.
 
That lite WO I had Wednesday 4/11....kicked my abs....OOOOO!:rolleyes1

4/14 (Saturday) I ran a 1/2 marathon with my sis! Race report on my blog under the Racefest!

4/16 (Monday) Today I had an early Dr appointment. Afterwards, I went out and rode my bike 20 miles in some kick'n chick'n wind to clear my head from the appointment.

4/17 (Tuesday) I danced! And fell off the stage during rehearsal. I twisted my knee and it was kinda hurting so tomorrw will be a mandatory rest day.

4/19 (Thursday) Speed play with JRT for 4 miles. 3 miles FAST and 1 mile recovery.

4/20 (Friday) Rode the bike with DH on the trails. He did 15 and I went on to do 20. It is funny how 20 is no longer a big deal on the bike.

4/21 (Saturday) Had a dance event for most of the day due to travel time so no training....but I got paid!:cool1:

4/22 (Sunday) DH did not get to come home from work today like normal (He is a minister) so I did not get to ride or run.:sad2: But I got to watch movies with my sweet DDs!:cheer2:

Hey, I just saw this Christa... oooh, that's too bad. What's the WISH team going to do without their fastest member? You have to do what's best for you and your family though. We'll understand, and maybe we'll just have to come find you at another race.

You are too kind! I thought I would be just a basket case, but I am OK with it. I have run 4 WDW marathons (including my Goofy) so I think I am OK with trying others now. Who knows though, we may be there.

Monday 4/23 - I biked today. It was beautiful! I went 40 miles! The longest I have ever gone.
The computer thingy on my bike was messing up for the 1st 7 miles so this messed with me a little. I almost bagged the whole thing, but then (after asking God to heal the computer) it started working!:cool1: I felt great until mile 30ish. Then I started getting thirsty and it was very warm outside. But other than that, it was a perfect ride. I was even able to dismount well!;)

OOOO...I also got NEW SHOES! Mizunos!

Tuesday 4/24 - Ran 3 on the dreadmill to try out the new shoes. They worked well!
Then did:
100 sit ups on the ball
50 calf presses
around 50 leg presses
some arm work

Right now I have no idea if I will be there or not. I think DW would rather not spend the money, but I would really like to run the race again, see how I can do a second time, and get the mystery/surprise medal. I think DW would rather I find a cheaper marathon to run. If I wait too long, I may not be doing anything this Fall.
 
Wednesday 4/25 - Ran outside 3.2 miles. Don't know the time b/c I am trying not to time every run right now...so running will stay fresh and fun. I did hill work during this WO. Ran really fast up the hills and recovered on the down hill.

THursday 4/26 - Ran on the greenway trails. Went around 10 miles in 1:30. I was trying to push but could only get a 9MPM out of the old body. It may have been the heat. It was 88 when I started the run. Shoes did not really do too well on this LR. But it may be the socks. They were kinda thick for the heat. They were the same socks I wore during WDW 07 and my feet felt the same way during that run.

Friday - Today I xtrained by eating Edy's THin Mint icecream!:love:

So far my totals are 40 on the bike and 16.2 on the run. We will see what happens tomorrow.

My running is a little on the low side so I may need to up the mileage a little.:confused3
 
Sunday - Ran 3.2 miles in 25.20 min.
The goal was to see how fast I could run it. I sounded like a steam engine..with my puffing. My legs felt great, but I was sucking air. But the run ave out to be around a 7:55 MPM!:eek: Now I know what that feels like!:woohoo:

Monday - Cleaned the house all day.

Tuesday -
Ran 6.6 miles in 58:24 min on the greenway. The goal was to keep it at an easy pace. Around a 9 MPM.
Out: 30 min .....9.05 MPM
Back: 28.24......8.36 MPM

Wednesday - Biked around 13/14 miles. Cannot remember. Ave pace was btwn 16/18 MPH.

THursday - Ran 7.6 miles on the greenway. Took me 1:04. Was just trying to get mileage in.

Friday - Ran 10.2 miles on the treadmill in 1:22 for an ave of 8:15 MPM. Started on a 7 then pushed it to an 8 when I had a really rock'n song. It is amazing how easy a 7 is when you have been running on an 8!

Saturday - Ran around an hour on some muddy and technical trails....so cool! We could not run down the trail due to the slipperiness! Is that a word? I am thinking it was around 5ish miles.
 
32.6! THis is my total running mileage for the week! Cool!
13/14 is the total biking mileage!

When/if we get the money...I am signing up for the Grandfather Mountain Marathon. I looked at the training schedule and I really needed to run a 16 mile LR this weekend. I may try this b/4 signing up.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? DO YOU THINK I COULD DO IT?!

DDs are home today (monday) so not sure if I will get much training in. Sunday, I was really tired so I opted to take a nap instead of training. I am getting the week started with a bang with training...NOT!
 
Does mowing count as xtraining....and working in the yard, and cleaning the house? If it does, I got a great WO today...If not, then I did not WO at all!:confused3
