Crossing my fingers that you get your date and time! We are planning on getting married on our anniversary so I totally understand where you're coming from. I so wish DFTW would just do first come first serve. Oh, well. Happy thoughts!!!

So much has been going on since I posted last! I’m so sorry for the delay! Less than a month from now I’ll be heading to Florida to work for almost a month so I have loads to do before them! Back when I had last posted, I was freaking the heck out about the possibility of having our wedding on another day. I’m much calmer about it now. Hopefully we get our date! We’re only 91 days out today from June 27, 2012 which is when we can book!

Anyway, moving on to life and some updates:
Chris and I had our 18 month anniversary yesterday. I gave him Oswald the Lucky Rabbit Cartoons and he gave me a set of pearls. I’m lucky to have him. We went to see the hunger games and then went to his ice hockey game. It was a playoff game so it was pretty good! This was my favorite photo that I took at the game. It’s not terribly clear but it’s my favorite. We decided to wait and go out to a nice dinner in Disney when he comes down in May to drive home with me. How does Narcoosee’s sound?

I went on a girl’s trip last weekend with my mom to PA and we got some wedding things accomplished. We did some floral picking, did some planning together and found some things we have to go back and get for the wedding. I also bought some more charms for my garter. I’ll post the floral and garter progress in a different post.

I also spoke to Dara from Disney’s Fine Arts and Photography a few days or so ago. I wanted to get confirmation about the 45 days thing and find out when we could book/do the shoots we wanted. Basically, as we are not using Disney Photography for our wedding day we can book our shoot 45 days before our wedding. However, we did not originally want to book our shoots for right after/before our wedding so we will be set! Our plan right now is to book the shoot for the Princess Half-Marathon Weekend in 2014. It will be about 6 months or so after our wedding but since I don’t want the castle to be lit up in ice-lights and we wanted to time it with another Disney ½ marathon. We also will be doing a Hollywood Studios Shoot and I do not want the Osborne Lights to be up.

Anyway, that’s about all of the updates right now. I’m going to be posting a post about the floral changes as well as my garter progress.

Last weekend, my mom and I went to PA for a girl’s weekend. We found some awesome stuff and had a great time… [sorry in advance for the ginormous photos]

Anyway, we discussed and decided that since we have two young girls as our flower girls, silk floral might be better as it’s harder to break! So we got some floral and when I got home, Chris and I started work on the first one! We ended up really liking the look and just now have to finish the 1st one and do the second completely.

We also found the vase that we would possibly like in the center of the unity arrangement. I really would like a solid vase that I can put a floating candle in because I’d like to be able to use my vase for each and every anniversary. This is the possible vase!

I also started working on my garter. This garter has been a point of contention between DF and me. He wants one, I do not. We compromised and the one garter [the toss one] will be on my calf instead of my thigh. That way, he does not have to go up my dress [I can raise my hem that far] and then the other one is mine which will be up much higher just for us. I bought the two garters for a total of 5.00 from A.C. Mores and will be sewing charms on. Here are the first two charms sewn on. I’d like to find a pair of AF wings, a rangers charm, a mickey head and a running charm as well as possibly a charm with our date on it.

I also worked on a VERY rough version of our program. DF is determined that we need a program. I’m not happy with them but to be honest, they are just a rough draft to get it started and then I’m going to hand the files over to Victoria [who designed our invites and is AMAZING].

I’ve also just sent the paperwork to Randy Chapman for an engagement shoot at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s All-Star Movies. I really wanted to use the Arndt’s since we hopefully will be using them for the wedding but we need to get photos done for our Save-The-Dates!

P.S- If anyone sees a groupon for Vista print between now and June, YELL at me please =] I need a couple =]

Yay, I've missed your updates!

* We had our first honeymoon meal at Narcoossee's and absolutely loved it! I highly recommend going there. We also timed it so we could see the fireworks during dinner.
* Where in PA did you go for the girls' weekend? If you come out this way again stop and visit me! ;)
* The silk flowers look great. I agree that you're probably better off with silk when it comes to little kids! We got little bouts from our florist for our ring bearers and one of them refused to wear it! Haha you never know what kids will do.
* I love the idea of the vase and the floating candle!
* I didn't do a garter toss. I was definitely against the idea of going up the dress and all that... but it sounds like your situation is a good compromise. And I love the charms!

Love the garter and the possible vase! Everything looks great!

Can't wait to see your e-pics!

Do you remember what time did you have dinner reservations?

We went to Lancaster and that area. We'll make plans to visit you sometimes =]

Thanks! I'm looking forward to the pics!!

Wow, Megan, you are already starting to get stuff done. Good for you!

Love the vase. What a great find and idea!

Good compromise on the garter. We didn't do one the first time around and won't be doing it this time either. We also didn't do a bouquet toss. We both think that they get a little crazy, for what we wanted. Love you idea on making your own with the charms!

Good luck getting stuff done before you leave for Florida. I am so mad that I am only going to miss you by a week or so. Piffle!! :headache:

I didn't really want to do one but Chris really did! I'm trying to get some stuff done as well but it's a never-ending process!

ME TOO. I wish I was coming a week or so earlier! :headache:

We made ours for 9:00 and Wishes started at 10. I think we were seated around 9:15, and the fireworks started right after we received our entrees (we didn't order any appetizers). Service was slow, but we were just taking our time and relaxing so that didn't bother us. When wishes started the lights went down so we stopped eating, so that added to the time we were there as well. I don't think we left until almost 11:30!

Lancaster is fun! I usually just go out to that area to visit Hershey ;)

Happy 18 month anniversary!!! :goodvibes

I loooove your garter. And your flower ball (is that what it's called?) is really cute too. And I hope I run into you in May!!
