Does anyone know where I could get chocolate covered strawberries? Resorts, parks, anywhere? Thanks.

I had got some at the candy store on main street~ :hyper:

We got them at BWV room service with a chocolate Mickey.

They also have them at the Grand Floridian as well.

I ordered the above shown Main Mouse with the strawberries at the BW Bakery. We werent staying there but we were able to pick it up and bring it back to our room at the Swan. It's yummy!

Great idea CamColt! My DW loves them so I think I will pick up an order for her. Did you have to place an advance order?

We bought some in MGM last week as well, in the small bakery/snack store on the way to ToT.

Did you place your order before your trip? Do you recall the price?

I wonder if you can get the Mickey in milk chocolate? :hyper:

Yes, I did call in advance. The number I had found here was 407 939-2393. I believe it was about $40.00 for the whole thing, which I didnt think was bad. It was well worth it for us.

The only downside to picking it up was that this was in July and it was very hot so we had to dash back to the Swan so Mickey wouldnt melt. His ear got a little smooshed when I took him out of the box because he was so soft.

You could always ask if they could do milk chocolate. I'm sure anything is possible for a price. ;)

Thanks

Ghiradelli's in downtime disney has them too. You can buy as little as 1.

Goofy's candy store in DTD had them. White, Dark, or Milk Chocolate covered, you choose. Also got one at MGM...can't for the life of me recall the stores name though, sorry. I want to say they were 2.25 each. I prefer the white chocolate, which no one around home makes.

Cass, how did you get that order at the AKL?

Pixie Dust, I guess.. we were having dinner at Boma and the chef 'sent' it to us. The picture frame & easel was sold chocolate, the elephant was hollow & oh those dipped strawberries :goodvibes

You know I can't tell you what it is but the ones at WDW have the sweetest strawberries too! And they're always huge! I've bought these at chocolate shops before, even Godiva shops but the ones at Disney just seem to be better. Maybe it's the atmosphere, I don't know, but they sure seem better than all the other ones I've ever had.

Oh my goodness!! That was my 1000th post!! :teeth:

A friend of mine got one in DTD last year and it was the biggest strawberry I have ever seen!!! I want one like that!!

I make these at home all the time with milk chocolate and white chocolate. It is always a big hit at birthday partys. As a matter of fact I have an anniversary party that I am hosting that I have to make some for. REALLY GOOD!!!!!!
