*Chocolate and Pixie Dust* - An August 2008 TR- 8/29 pg 6: Sort of an update

Jen - quit trying to overwhelm me and make me feel bad for working instead of planning my Disney vacation! :rotfl2:

Don't forget to get the pretty multicolored binder tabs from Wal Mart. They have pockets. Everybody needs extra pockets! :thumbsup2

I need to finish my binder. It seems always a work in process.

I need to do these items from your list:
2.
3.
4.
5.
Thank you for making MY to do list for me! I knew you were good for something. :lmao:

5 - I am packing 1 workout outfit, just in case. They gym is free at BC. DH will likely work out more than once. If I do once, I will feel good about myself. I love those disappearing calories!

6 - Done.

7 - I don't have to buy one, but I have to find my extra memory and ascertain if it's enough. That's a big word.

8 - N/A for me. I did refill my "other" prescription the other day. Then forgot to take my pill this morning. Ugh.

9 - My laptop is a must. I have to check email daily to keep up with what my whacky employees are doing while the cat's away.

10 - Done - 2 weeks ago :)

Answers:
1 - It has been 10 years. I don't know.
2 - See above.
3 - We are each taking one 26" or 24" (I consider these large) checked bag and 1 carryon. I have discovered that I can very quickly load 53+ lbs into my 26" bag, so I don't need anything larger. I think they DO charge extra for extra bags on my airline. You still have time to ship ahead, chica. Why not ship one of those SIX suitcases??
4 - See #1 above.

Did not know you are half Latin. Learn somethin' new every day! :thumbsup2

I want to take Jordan with me too, to do laundry.

Mission accomplished. I overwhelmed Susan at work :lmao:

You forgot your pill?? Uh oh! Is that the pill that allows you to play canasta worry-free??? If it is, TAKE THE PILL NOW :rotfl2: I haven't taken one in over a year. Yes, I love to gamble. You may end up with an annoucement soon :scared1: Ok, was that TMI? :lmao:

You measured your luggage? You're scaring me Susan!!! How do you know how many inches? I just know that mine is big :rotfl:

I can't ship the suitcase because I do not trust UPS. I had an arguement the UPS delivery person in my old building. Since then, I fear UPS is out to get me. I need help, I know :rotfl: Besides, it's hard enough turning over my luggage to the airline people. I have images of them searching my suitcase and trying on my unmentionables

Yup, half latin. And buenos dias is the extent of my Spanish. Uhmmm actually the rest of my Spanish is very un-Disney. Put it this way, I can defend myself verbally in a Spanish-speaking country.

I'm with you, Winkers!
I refuse to do laundry on vacation. :laundy:

I agree. :lmao:

I hate doing laundry period. Ehhhh!!!

I wonder if Jordan will fit in my suitcase.

I decided that I think you should play it by ear about lunch. Wait til you get there and just go with the flow. Wherever you end up, get lunch.

Go with the flow??? Hmm that might require some cocktails enroute. I need to see what's on American Airline's beverage list.

Travel days cause a lot of anxiety for me. NY airports are chaotic. It gives me stomach pains.

It's at home. I can't. I did play canasta last night, but I don't need the pill. That's another story for another day.

I haven't taken one in over a year. Yes, I love to gamble. You may end up with an annoucement soon :scared1: Ok, was that TMI? :lmao:
All the more reason to convert Voldemort from exbf to bf. Can you imagine little JenniVoldemorts running around? :rotfl:

You measured your luggage? You're scaring me Susan!!!
Not really. I just know that it said on the side of the two bags I bought 26 and 28 inches and they are close to the size of the one we already own. I not THAT obsessive.

How do you know how many inches? I just know that mine is big :rotfl:
Please! What a question. This is a Disney board. We have to keep it clean. :lmao:

To be honest, I wouldn't ship my luggage either. There is nothing in my ship-ahead box that I couldn't live without. I might have to go shopping, but it's all stuff that will be consumed while we're there.

Go with the flow??? Hmm that might require some cocktails enroute. I need to see what's on American Airline's beverage list.
Since you don't have to drive when you get there, you have my permission to have a few cocktails on the flight. Do you think they have Grey Goose slushies? If not, maybe you can get them to mix up some GG/Popsicles. :rotfl2:

:lmao: I hope it was a fun game :rotfl2:

Voldemort sorta has been converted over, sorta. Little JenniVoldemorts will probably not be so little. I'm 5'7'' and he's 6'9''. NBA babies.

I didn't even know how big my bags were when I bought them :lmao:

If they don't have popscicles to mix with the GG, I'll just have to get creative. GG and ice water :rotfl:

Bring little pacs of Crystal Light. Or Zip Fizz (if you're brave)

I want to see those little NBA babies.

5. Decide if I'm going to pack workout wear. Will I actually work out? Will the fitness facilities call my name? Or will I avoid them like the Black Plague? It is Disney. There are no calories in Disney. They magically disappear. Poof! They're gone. That's what I keep telling myself :rolleyes1

If you don't pack an outfit than you'll need it. So pack it and don't use it!

9. Decide whether or not I'm going to bring the 17'' monster that is my laptop. How many of you carry your laptops?

Mine goes everywhere with me. And I transfer pictures to it every night during vacations

Some questions for you:

1. How is the Main Street Barbershop? Should I trusth them to cut T's hair. Or is it all about blue gel and Mickey confetti?? Not interested in that.

They are all licensed and by the looks of all the pictures I've seen I would guess that the "barbers" there are "retired" hairdressers and barbers in their pre-Disney lives. We are taking Liam there in October. I heard that the gel takes forever to dry if at all.

2. I'm thinking of collecting pressed pennies with T. I know there are a bunch of machines in the MK. But what about the other parks and resorts? Is it worth buying that book to hold the pressed pennies?
I have a press penny book....I get a couple new ones every trip and add it to the book.

4. Lunch on arrival day: Counter service at CR, Beaches and Cream at the BC, or something in DTD? I've been reading lots about Earl of Sandwich. Is it really that good? I love Boars Head deli stuff. We love Cuban food and would be interested in trying Bongos. But, being half Latin, I'm hesitant. I'm so used to my grandmother's cooking. I'd be very disappointed if it's horrible.

I love Earl of Sanwich (if there is a long line, don't worry it usually goes quick)
I bet you get better Cuban in the city. I'll suggest lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe (table service). It's only a monorail ride away and would be a relaxing choice instead of hiking down and back to DTD.

Decisions, decisions!!!

Hope that was some help to you.

I don't want to see the NBA babies any time soon :scared1:

Hope that was some help to you.

I can't wait to see pics of Liam at the barber shop.

Here's the beverage list from Delta in 1984! At least some things are better with the airlines these days!

WHAT!? No Grey Goose? And they call themselves an airline!

And I can't even carry on a little bottle of it! I wonder if Hudson News carries GG.

That is too funny! I love how everything is generic. No mention of brands. Did the airlines get better or are we drinking more? :lmao:

Talk to me before you do zip fizz. It made my body do things I didn't know it would do. Quite an experience.

What did it do? Hmmm is it like Red Bull?

Can you carry a bottle of Grey Goose if it's under 3 ounces and in a quart-sized bag? Maybe put it into a generic container. (I hope the TSA isn't monitoring this board)

I got jittery, lost focus, it hurt my esophagus going down, made my stomach gurgle, lost my appetite (a good thing, maybe?), and it went right through me and came out the other end in an even worse form. I am not sure which of those side effects are normal. I have two more tubes of it, but I see my personal trainer today, so I will spare her. :lmao:

A 3 ounce bottle of GG seems fine. Does it say anyway that it HAS to be a toiletries? I have to check the TSA's website.

Oh that doesn't sound good. What's in it? Uhmm I would guess that none of those side effects are normal. It's like takinge ephedra. :scared1:

Me too!!! That's why Xanax is my best travel buddy!!! :lmao:

I need a prescription :rotfl2:

Xanax??? Did someone mention Xanax??? :confused3 Where?????

I have bad anxiety anytime I fly so I am going to get a prescription for Ambien for that 5 hr flight to LAX. It's good stuff. I had it when I was getting induced with DD...eventhough I started to hallucinate....it's that good good.:rotfl:
