Having lived in the South all my life, it doesn't really bother me because I have never actually started school after Labor Day -- Labor Day is always our first holiday. Getting out the Friday before Memorial Day has me spoiled so when I hear about how late into June you guys in the North go, I am shocked. It's just what we are used to doing, I guess. Of course, I was the teacher bouncing around saying, "Only 179 more school days until next summer" today!
Although in my perfect world, we would get out the Friday before Memorial Day and head back after Labor Day -- that would be heaven!

I play it on the computer all the time. It's a lot slower with actual cards It was a good day for both of them, too. They are looking a little worn around the edges themselves -- I don't think anyone will have a hard time falling asleep at our house tonight!
It's going to be surreal for me thinking about how you are having fun at Disney while I am busy teaching next week. Are you going to repost your itinerary one last time before you leave, so we can "follow" along -- it might help me when my 7th graders are talking too much to be able to think, "Jen, is enjoying the Dreams Come True parade right this minute!"
Wouldn't that be nice? We could fit in two trips to Disney with that calender -- one at the beginning of June and one at the end of August.
