My SIL is allergic to chlorine. Does anyone know what they treat the water in the water parks and resort pools with? If they do use chlorine does it seem like alot, Like can you smell it at the water parks? Feel free to pm me if you can help. thanks.

my ds9 eye's react strongly to bromide (sp?) and he will NOT wear goggles. I did ask the lifeguard and was told that the pool in POFQ was chlorine. You can always call the hotel you will be staying at and ask (just in case I was given bad information)

Yes the pools at WDW are treated with chlorine. In the previous years it seemed like a lot of chlorine to me, but on my trip in June it wasnt as bad as it had been in the past.

We found that my dd is very sensitive to heated chlorinated water!!! The pools at home were okay, but when she got to WDW, she felt like there were pieces of glass in her eyes!!! So, now she wears goggles when we're at WDW. The pools have a very high chlorine content. Actually, that's not a bad thing considering how many people are in them....especially those little kids. But, if you're allergic to chlorine...well, that would be a bad thing.

I believe all Disney pools are treated with chlorine except the main pool at CSR which I am pretty sure is bromide.

From our experience last month, I can report that the WL pool is treated with chlorine -- we know that smell! We, too, go the "googles" route and shower off after our swim.
