Chit Chat Thread - November ADRs...

I'm sure they will!! I don't blame them. I've seen them already getting lumped into the mix when people talk about the 'other site'!! If they make us jump through hoops to cancel they'll sure lose merit with me though!!

I'm hoping the case is that they're just so new they haven't worked out some of these glitches. I don't know how old the company is, but their FB page was put up in March and I didn't even hear about them until a couple months ago. So since nobody may have reached a year anniversary yet, they may not realize their app is not laid out with any cancellation feature (at least not one that is easily found). Let's hope that's the case! I'm going to see if anyone on here can figure it out and if not, I'm going to email them and post to their FB page for clarification.

Good point. They are fairly new so it could just be a glitch for sure.

If anyone has booked a dinner reservation on a party night (after 6:00pm), were you able to make the reservation online or did you have to call to check for availability?

They are really good about answering questions on their FB page and in a timely manner. I've posted several times there with questions and they always get back to me.

@22Tink - wanted you to know but didn't want to quote multiple posts ;)

I called the dining line today to ask about a party night reservation, and the CM said that information has not been released about MVMCP nights. I asked if I would need to call when they were released or if I would be able to use the online reservation system(as it says to do now for the Halloween parties), but she didn't know the answer to that either. So I guess I have no useful information to share.

Any rumors about premium events for MVMCP?

The "site that shall not be named" (lol) is currently under construction! I hope it's bc Disney is shutting them down. I think I'm looking at the right site! Can someone confirm?

It does say 'coming soon' LOL!! Looks like something is going on. It will be interesting to see if it comes back online. I'm actually going to name the site by posting this article - it gives me hope that maybe Disney is going to take some serious steps to stop this site! http://www.inquisitr.com/2407753/di...t-disney-world-dining-reservations-to-guests/

@jani3 - this article says the way the company guarantees the person who pays the higher fees gets the reservation is because they give the buyer access to the MDE account they created under the fake name where they secured the reservation. Talk about crazy!

Sorry, but I'm new to the mvmcp (it's our first year) what are premium events?
I hope it's not much more money!! My husband is going to kill me!!

Oh yes, definitely more money LOL! Disney has become the champ at adding special events to parties, usually dessert parties with special viewing locations for parades and fireworks and includes dessert. Check out the Hallowishes Dessert Party on the Disney dining page.

They have a dessert party for Osborne Light, Illuminations, and Wishes. Then they add them to the party nights as well. They usually run $49-99 depending on what's included.

Last year they also did a Villain Soiree during the MNSSHP but that lead to a lot of upset folks because it included a villain meet and greet but party guests were restricted from seeing the villains. So it looks like this year they just have the dessert party.

According to that article, disney is investigating and will most likely make changes to the reservation method. I hope they are shut down soon. thanks for the link and info.

So I've noticed lots of people commenting in the Nov cancellation thread about lots of ADRs available for the first week of Nov. Well, 45 days from today is Nov 1 so it looks like there are lots of people who cancel their trip at that time and had to let go their ADRs for that week. So it is true that things open up at the 45-day mark. Which means there is hope for us who are still looking for that unicorn ADR.

I hope that is the same story for The FP+ availability though.

Great!! I booked the merry and bright party and have been searching for a wishes desert party, but I would rather do one during the mvmcp (I think). Would you lose too much party time going to the desert party? I'm kind of on the fence for this. As neat as it sounds, idk if I would want to take away from all there is to do at the Christmas party unless it was something really spectacular that they were offering.
Has anyone done one at mvmcp in the past? Opinions?

I think we saw several cancellations last week for mid-November as people's 60 day mark hit for FPs, and I agree seeing more no for early November at the 45 day mark for that time. So...hope for us at our 45 day mark!

Plus, we might even see a few more cancellations at the 30 day mark when offsite guests can book FPs, but I would think that would be a much smaller group.

I've not done MVMCP or a dessert party so I can't speak from experience. If you get VIP parade and firework seating that would save you some time from having to stake out a spot for both. But there's a thread on the dessert party for MNSSHP where people are posting their reviews now. On that thread someone posted a review from Kenny the Pirate and it sounds like he thought it wasn't a good use of time - so definitely different perspectives.

Thank you! How do you get VIP seating? Fast pass?

Here are reviews from the dessert party at the Halloween party http://www.disboards.com/threads/mn...ost-tips-helpful-hints-and-chit-chat.3439907/

It may be included as part of the dessert party. For the Hallowishes dessert party it included a separate section for parade viewing and then desserts and fireworks from the Tomorrowland Terrace.

Sometimes it's just the dessert and firework seating. I would think that if they are doing a party for MNSSHP they would do a similar one for MVMCP - but right now, nothing's been announced - at least not from what I've seen. They might not do a dessert party, but the fact they do one for everything these days, I would think so.
