Have you ever used one? Do you think they work? I'm having a horrible pain in my shoulder, it's made my right arm usless, so I'm off to see one today.

I am a FIRM believer! I've been seeing my chiropractor for several months and he's taken care of most the pains I've been having....lower back, hips......he even adjusted my face (well, around my eyes and nose) and relieved some sinus problems I was having! Hope your visit today helps you!

Yes, I see one on a daily basis. ;)

Seriously, my DH is a Chiropractor. I was never adjusted until I met him. I used to get headaches daily and had really bad menstrual cramps. Chiropractic took care of all of it. :)

DD (2 1/2) has been adjusted since she was 1 hour old. :)

If you have family I would also have them checked out. Why wait until they are in pain?

Edited to say: Good Luck at your appointment. Let us know how it goes. :wave2:

My family visits our chiropractor every month. He took care of a 3 month headache that my physician couldn't fix!

I found therapeutic massage to be much more helpful when we have had problems. I hope this works out for you, however.

Nope... never have and don't ever plan to.

Good luck if you decide to go, though - I hope it helps you!

I was going to get Jenn, but see she is here already.

I never have been but both Marie and Vince have and have had good results. My best, Barb.

Yes, the Chiropractor is great. I'm 7 months pregnant and I just went in to get my hips realigned. Felt much better afterwards.

Isn't that the best? :D

I was adjusted throughout my entire pregnancy with DD. It really helped with my hips and low back. :)

I have a chronic condition called Lupus which causes great pain in my joints. Since I started going to a chiropractor almost 5 years ago, the quality of my life has change enormously. She works her magic and I live a relatively pain-free life. :sunny:

Yes, Jenn, this was only my second visit since being pregnant. She told me that I want to be aligned before giving birth because it will help the baby slide right out. So, I'm going to go in at the end of June, baby is due July 4. We'll see if she's right.

This has helped my son so much. He's had a chronic bowel problem since probably birth (or within the first 5 years) and the doctor fixed him right up. As long as his back is aligned he has no problems.

I was adjusted 2 days before my water broke. It broke at 2am, hard labor started at 8am, DD was born at 3pm with 1 hour of pushing. I think 7 hours of labor is great for a first baby. It would have been faster, but I had a cervical lip that would not move. DD was a water birth. :)

Best wishes for a great remainder of your pregnancy and a fast labor. :)

I go to physical therapy which has worked for me, especially on my neck. The last chiropractor I went to didn't want to go near my neck because of my spinal fusion I had done.:D

As I have stated here before, I could be the Chiropractic care poster child. About 18 months ago, I was very sick. Low iron, anemic, low cholestrol (weird), I was exhausted, throwing up most of the food I ate, and generally miserable. I have what's called malabsorption, caused by having less than normal intestinal tract. My doctors have tried all sorts of drugs to get me to absorb (and not throw up) the food I eat, but to no avail. I had given up and decided I was destined to a life of feeling yucky and being unhealthy.

One Sunday I was singing on worship team and a fellow member heard me talk about my latest blood test. She suggested I go see her husband, a chiropracter. I poo poo'd her suggestion, thinking, "What could a chiropracter do for me. I don't have back pain." Well, he stopped me that morning (we have three services, so she had a chance to talk to him), told me he guaranteed he could make me feel better. So, I figured that I had nothing to lose. That was August 2002. I first had xrays to see what my spine was like. It showed extreme scoliosis (two s-curves) and my head was not on straight (but, I always knew that, lol). I began seeing him four times a week for one year, the within a month, I was feeling better. After a year, I had gained 15 pounds (more than I wanted, but better than being malnourished). I know see him twice a week, and will continue to do so till I die.

Chiropractic Care has changed my life. I have energy, my blood work is perfect, I can eat, and I don't have to struggle to keep weight on. It's amazing, and a miracle the change in my life.

Kinda' 1/2 & 1/2.........

I started to see a Chiropractor due to chronic lower back pain unresolved by "conventional" (i.e. DRUGS) means. I have several bulging lumbar discs which have caused me pain for several years.

Dr. J. has been whacking at my back, mid spine and neck for several months & I honestly cannot say that my back has improved much, if at all.

However, I DO have MUCH more flexibility in my neck & that is a welcome relief.

I prefer to think of it as my cup being half full, but I wish it was the lower 1/2, not the upper................

Really? That's more than what I'm used to hearing. Makes me wonder if it'd be worth a try for me with my tendancy to pick up every bug that goes around, especially right now. I've been to chiropractors for back / neck pain, but not for anything else...

I used to be skeptical about chiro due to the fact that most of the chiro's tend to look "greasy" or "skeevy"...you know what I mean, BUT after I'd been suffering with some back pain due to a racquetball game, I broke down and went to a chiro.

After lying down on the table, the doc felt around on my back, and asked if this spot was were I was feeling the pain. I had not shown him where the pain was, and he was right.

My FIL has avoided back surgery for many years by seeing his chiro on occasion.
