Hi Everyone :earsboy:

I leave for Disney in 25 days with my sister and two nieces (2 & 4). We didn't have to pay for the two year old, but we're kind of confused and haven't been able to find the answer to our questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1) Is it normal to not even list a child under 3 on the confirmation? (It just had the three of us that we paid for.)

2) How do meals work? We are assuming in the TS restaurants we just don't have to pay for her because she's under 3, but what about the counter service? Since we all got the free dining it's not a big deal if we have to buy her a meal, but do they give free food to kids under 3 at the counter? (In the past we always bought her counter service food so we're assuming we'll be doing the same this time around.)

Thanks again for your help! We're all very excited to go, it's our first "girls only" trip to the World!! :Pinkbounc

1) In my experience, they always list our DS who is 2 right now. They also list X adults 1 Child/Infant. They are not charged extra for the room but they need to know that there is a child there.

2) They don't give free food anywhere except the buffets. At the TS places, they will have kid's meals that you can order or they can eat off your plate.

No, they don't give a 2 year old free food at counter service restaurants. You can share your meals with that child, or order a meal for them (which you pay for). That is pretty much the way it goes at sitdowns as well..you share with them, they eat off your plate, or you can order them something from the childrens menu..which you pay for.

1) neither of my under 3 yo were listed on our confirmation, but they were in the computer when I checked in.

2) You will have more than enough food on the dining plan. The 4 and 2 yo could split a kid's meal, they are so big, or you could give her some of your adult meal. We stopped ordering a CS meal for everyone because we were wasting so much food, and we had 2 under 3!
Oh, and they did give the 2 yo a free kids drink at 2 of the TS, but don't expect it. You can pay for one out of pocket if you need to.

Where are you staying?
Have a great time, the kids are going to LOVE it! My 2 yo loved all the musical shows, and Its a small world.

Thanks for the quick replies!! We kind of figured we'd have to pay or have her share, it's not a big deal either way, we're still saving money by not paying for food for the rest of us. We were just confused about how it works.

As for the confirmation not listing her, I'm not really going to worry, we booked through a TA and I am going to go with what DisneyMom said and assume they just didn't list her because she's under 3.

We're staying at the Contemporary, we wanted to be close to MK and have a monorail at hand (the kids are gonna love seeing that in the hotel.) We've been there 2 times in the past year, this will be our third trip in one year, kinda scary seeing as we hadn't been there in about 5 years before that! My 4 year old niece, who we didn't think was really excited about Small World when we were there last, can't stop talking about it now. She goes around the house singing "It's a small world, ask them all." LOL We just laugh at her. She's saying she wont go on certain rides because they're "scary" so I sent her a letter the other day from Mickey telling her he can't wait to see her and not to worry, none of the rides are scary, especially not the Pirate Ride and the Buzz Lightyear Ride (the two she insists she isn't going on. LOL) I'm hoping that works!!
