child identification

I need to get a child identification for my son who has fragile x and autism. I am leaning towards a bracelet because it can be used at the water parks and pools too? I would also need something that he couldn't get off easily, but not too big?? Any recommendations? Thanks!

I used the medical tattoos for my DS. you can get plain ones and use a pen to write your cell # in the space, but they also have some with the medical symbol. I also have an elasticised medical bracelet that is snug-fitting and water proof (google child medical ID) I don't see any name-brand on it. I like the added security of the tattoo in case he removes his bracelet.

I have medic alerts bracelets for 2 of my kids. One is Autistic/ Epieleptic the other has a heart condition and Asthma. they have a kids program. the kids can pick out what color they linke. DD9 has hot pink this time DS18 has a teal color. you can not get the clasp un done they make it that way.only once did we have a problem the coating came off DD bracelet so we called them and they sent a new one right away. I like it because I can update there info online and you can put in emergency contacts too. If your son got lost or had a medical condition the EMS can call the number on the bracelet and there is a dedicated line just for them to get the info. Your info is never on the bracelet it has what the conditions are a 800# and the child gets a special id number just for them.if you need more info i will be glad to help send me a pm
